Bank View

One of three newly converted stylish homes, converted recently from an ex rural Bank. It has a new Kitchen, Bathroom, furniture & decor, giving a very smart and comfortable home for up to two couples or a family of five (including an infant). Everything in the property is new and the highest quality designed to give our guests a happy and luxurious stay.

Leading in from the foyer with entrance to downstairs cloakroom, this home has an open plan spacious Lounge and Kitchen leading upstairs to two large bedrooms with built in wardrobes and family Bathroom. Also available is a Utility/Storage area suitable for storing bikes, etc.

No. 1 is just off the Market Place, whilst close to amenities it is still quiet and peaceful, thanks to the very thick walls of the old Bank, there is also a pleasant outlook onto the Market Cross and over to the local Church. A very good vantage point during local festivities such as New Year Eve and St. Georges Day Parade.

The Counting House

Recently converted from what was once a large well known rural Bank, McLaren Holiday Cottages are three holiday homes offering spacious fully equipped and luxuriously furnished accommodation for up to four adults or family of four plus baby. All have new Kitchens, Bathrooms and furniture & fittings. Everything in each home is new and the highest quality, including luxury bed linen and towels for your stay, the kitchens all have new appliances and new crockery/cutlery and are fully equipped to satisfy any cook. Entertainment is provided by Smart TV/DVD with freeview and wifi.

All bedrooms are spacious with matching oak furniture, choice of single/double/king size beds,luxury bedding and tasteful decor.

Bank View looks out on to the ancient stone cross at the Market Place, set out colourfully with flower tubs.

The Counting House, in the middle, makes a perfect home to relax in after exploring our wonderful countryside.

Vault Cottage has a completely private rooftop garden with views over the rooftops of Belford and surrounding hills, ideal for alfresco dining, enjoying the sunshine or just relaxing, the outdoor furniture is most comfortable. We have a smart TV and wifi. There is also a communal locked storage area, ideal for storing cycles, etc. available to all homes.

Situated just off the Market Place down a quiet lane, McLaren Cottages are ideal for enjoying the hostelry of local restaurants and bars and thanks to the thick stone walls well insulated from any noise outside and our English weather.

We hope to provide our guests with the luxury of a hotel and the freedom of self catering in these delightful homes.

Every guest receives a Welcome Pack on arrival which includes tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and a selection of local products.

We are also flexible on arrival and departure times depending upon how busy we are.

The vacant Barclays Bank building was purchased in 2013 and has been converted into 3 luxury holiday homes to a very high standard. They are ideally situated for the local amenities and offer any visitor a good base for exploring our County and the immediate area.

What makes this house unique

The properties are convenient for local amenities but in a quiet area. Bank View offers spacious surroundings, peace and quiet whilst still looking out on to the Market Place. The Roof Top Garden in Vault Cottage gives a private sheltered area for dining or just relaxing. It also offers views over the surrounding roof tops and local hills.

Amazing Christmas break

Had an absolutely brilliant Christmas holiday staying at Bank View in Belford. Spotlessly clean, excellent facilities, was able to cook a full Christmas dinner for 3 so kitchen was well equipped. Really comfy beds, warm, nice bathroom.

Bank view overlooks Belford’s small square and the church which at Christmas time is lovely as the square looks really special with all the lights up.

Few nice pubs in the village, everyone was so welcoming. Literally two doors up is the Black Swan, nice little pub with roaring fire.

Co-Op and fish & chip shop 5 minutes away.

Thoroughly recommend and will return.

Comfortable property furnished to a high standard.

Had a great stay in Northumberland, good for walking, castles and close enough to Edinburgh for a visit. The property is furnished to a good standard, was very neat and tidy and had everything we needed. It is a close to a couple of hotels for eating out and has a Co-op within a couple of minutes walk to stock up on essentials.

Immaculate cottage with homely feel

Jacqui met us at the cottage with a warm welcome and left us a basket of tea, coffee,biscuit's and jam. The house was spotlessly clean and had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. The pub across the road was great for food and drink, also child friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Well presented and immaculate property.

We had a week in the property and found it to be a very rewarding retreat. The furnishings, equipment, linens, electricals, comfort and location, in fact everything about this place, were nothing short of amazing.
