Amazing apartment

We have just come back from a weeks stay here. The apartment is exactly as described and how it looks in the photographs. Steve and his wife met us on arrival and both where lovely and a great help. Steve arranged a mini bus to collect us at the airport and the man was waiting for us at the airport. The location of the apartment was great and close to bars restaurants bus stops andbeach. 6 of us (4 adults and 2 children) stayed and there was more then enough room for us all. We have already booked to go back next year

Great place to stay in Malta!

Great property, great holiday with my family of 4!

It's in a quiet residential area, yet close to all that we needed. A great supermarket very close by (2 mins walk). It is also very short walk to either the beach area (south) or to the harbour area and church (north). There's a great choice of places to eat covering all price ranges. Too many to recommend just one, but we all loved the relaxed atmosphere at Bongo Nya (great choice of interesting beers), and the Zion Reggae Bar. We had great pizzas at the restaurant at the top corner of Triq Ix Xatt (I think it was called 'Corner View' or similar) overlooking the harbour near the church... followed by an ice-cream from Mr Brain Freeze's Van! Very good bread from the bakery opposite the 'duck pond'. Lovely pastizzi and qassatat from the little shop opposite the 'Bus Terminal' Triq Sant Antnin.

It's also very easy to get around by bus; there's bus stops very close that can take you all over Malta (often via Valetta or the Airport). We visited Valetta, the Ghar Dalam cave (lovely and cool on a scorching day!), and the temples at Hagar Qim and Mnajdra - both very impressive and well worth a visit if you're at all into pre-history, or even if you're not.

The penthouse itself is great; nice minimal decoration to a high standard with plenty of wardrobe and storage space in 2 large bedrooms. The third is smaller but still plenty of room and storage space. Very clean and well-maintained thoughout. Air-conditioning in the bedrooms is modern, effective and a must-have for hot nights. We spent evenings playing cards, chatting and drinking on the lovely main balcony... great times!

As arranged, we were met by Steve's wife (and young son) who showed us around the apartment and made sure we knew where everything was, and also made it clear that we could contact them with any requests. Although we didn't need to get in touch it was nice to know that they were available if we needed them. Steve got in touch during the week just to check everything was OK, and arrange to meet the morning before we left back for the UK.

I would have no hesitation recommending this property to anyone. If I get the chance to visit Marsaskala again, I will want to stay here.

I am struggling to find ANY negatives to this property; the only thing that might have been nice would be a couple of sun-loungers for the balcony (there's plenty of room).

Lovely but too precious to use at times!

We stayed here for a 3 nights upon arrival it was stunning!

By our second day we realised that the apartment was perhaps a little too posh for our particular needs. The stark white walls shows all marks and you assume they're all from you (even though they're not). There's glass everywhere.. My family were all a nervous wreck, we cooked once and decided not to cook again for the rest of the trip as we we're scared to break/damage anything! (My wife, youngest daughter and her fiancé are very clumsy)

The level of practically wasn't fantastic as we were given orange rubber discs to use to take things out of the oven and they were too thin as my daughter burnt her hand/fingers quite badly. The glass on top of the kitchen table was overhanging on one side and stuck out quite a way, into an already small gap to get through near the sofa.

The bedrooms were perfect, towels, sheets, pillows (although they did feel like they had gravel in them), chest of drawers, mirrors, lamps, AC etc. Also the colour coordination in the bedrooms was nice!

The apartment building was lovely although needing a key for the lift can sometimes be an inconvenience if you have bags to carry or don't have the key to hand (although I understand it's just the way it is and can't be changed).

Overall our stay here was lovely and comfortable in the bedrooms and bathrooms. But the kitchen and living area, we found, was impractical for people who aren't used to luxurious things and lots of glass, or for people who are particularly clumsy! We probably won't be returning as it's just a little too posh and precious for my family in particular but lovely spacious apartment with great views from the front and back balconys and modern furnishings! Would recommend to a less clumsy family! :)

Stayed for 5 nights, Steve and his wife very accommodating! Garage for the rental car was much appreciated, but the best bit is the apartment itself - modern facilities and so much space! Would definitely return.

Fantastic very clean spacious 3 bed penthouse

This penthouse was spotless and very spacious with 3 large bedrooms and a large living/dining area. It is in a very nice quiet residential area of Masaskala about a 10 minute walk away from the main town centre where there are lots of nice restaurants. The owners were exceptionally friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay here and our trip to Malta!

Beautifully decorated, spacious and superbly equipped flat: bright, modern, clean and in immaculate condition. An ideal location for a quiet getaway, a short walk to sandy beaches, harbour and open countryside. Run by a lovely, welcoming couple who really have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

Perfect. Highly recommend this property.
