Characterful Period Cottage- beautifully presented

We had a wonderful family weekend in this lovely property. Located in the heart of the village with fabulous views over open countryside. The agent had a roaring fire going for our arrival and was extremely helpful. The cellar bar/games room was fantastic and the family loved the karaoke! I would definitely recommend the property.

I bought the property as it is in an area of natural beauty. Its history goes back to 1611, with its low beamed ceilings, traditional stone walls and open fires .

Travel:

Newcastle Airport one hour . In summer Daily bus service to Penrith and Keswick . o.a.p.Travel passes excepted. Hexham , Durham , Newcastle only an hours drive away .

Distances:

River Walks, The Pennine Way, the Tyne Valley Railway , Nature Trails and Roman Camp, are all very close by. The lead mines of Nenthead and Killope are nearby , along with Hadrians Wall, High Force , and Castles. The Lakes approx. 20 miles . The A68 is listed by the AA as one of the Worlds best Drives. Alston itself , Having its Cobbled Streets has been the location of The Charles Dickens Films .
