Delightful, tastefully decorated and newly furnished 3 bedroom cottage. Can be rented with the adjacent property, No1 to provide sleeping for 12. Located in a very quiet, pleasant cul de sac close to the Feversham Arms and a stone's throw from the historic centre of Helmsley, a delightful market town nestling in the foothills of the North Yorkshire Moors. Helmsley has excellent shops, cafes, restuarants and a weekly market. The local attractions of Rievaulx Abbey, Duncombe Park with the International Centre for Birds of Prey, Helmsley castle and walled gardens are all within walking distance of the property. This is a perfect location for visiting the surrounding areas of, Ryedale, York and the attractive North Yorkshire coastline including Robins Hood Bay and Whitby. In the summer months Helmsley benefits from an open air, heated swimming pool, just a 5 minute walk away from the property. At Kirbymoorside there is an 18 hole champion standard golf course. There are also Riding Schools located within Helmsley, Sinnington and further afield. The famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway is located in Pickering, 13 miles away, with regular steam trains to Whitby.

About Mrs Amanda Welch

Hi I am a busy mother of 3 boys, dogs, cats and ponies. I spend a lot of my time on the rugby touchline or other sporting fixtures. When I get the chance I run or ride accompanied by the dog, swim, cycle and compete in the odd triathlon. I am always on the go!

We moved to Yorkshire when my this son was on the way as we fell in live with the county and have now been here 12 years. We do not plan to leave!

Why Mrs Amanda Welch chose Yorkshire Moors and Coast

It started because my Mum who was living in Italy full time wanted to come back to England for 6 months in the winter. I arranged somewhere for her to rent for three months and chose Helmsley as I thought she would love it. She did and in fact she loved it so much that we purchased a property that we could let out in the summer and she could live in in the winter. We thoroughly enjoyed doing the holiday lets so ended up purchasing the property next door when it became available. We have great pride in our properties and love leaving them immaculate for the next guests. We hope you enjoy staying in them.

What makes this cottage unique

One of the keys things mum realised when she was renting another property in Helmsley was that the property must be within 1-2 minutes from the centre and had to have off street parking, as there is nothing worse than coming back and not being able to park outside your house!

Notes on accommodation: Well behaved medium sized dogs are accepted (Max of 2) The furnishings in the house are all new and although we accept well behaved dogs, we expect them to be kept in the kitchen and utility room until they are completely dry and clean. It goes without saying that no dog may go on the furniture. No dog may go upstairs and no dog may be left in the house while you are out (Car please!) Any damage caused by your dogs will automatically come off your deposit! I am a dog lover and would hate to go on holiday without my dog, so please respect my wishes or dogs may not be allowed in the cottage in the future. Please inform us if you are bringing dogs. Outside: Easily maintained private garden with outdoor furniture, 2-3 car parking spaces in driveway. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, large freestanding fridge/freezer, wash baskets, iron and ironing board, hoover etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen are provided, changed on a weekly basis unless requested otherwise Other: Dining Room, separate from Sitting Room with dining table and 6 chairs. There is a small tub chair in this room which may be moved into the sitting room if further seating is required.

Well kept house in central yet peaceful location. Lovely views of mature trees to front and rear.

We are regular visitors to Helmsley and stayed for a week in Aug'17. Central location just a few mins from Helmsley market square. The house was very clean with good facilities. All rooms good size, plenty room for 3 adults and 2 young teens. Nice views from all windows downstairs and upstairs. Would definitely revisit.

Perfect situation for a holiday home.quiet yet minutes from the hub of Helmsley

This holiday home has got everything you need.comfy beds, plenty of towels, lots of equipment in kitchen and a lovely secluded garden.Helmsley is a great centre for touring the moors and dales of Yorkshire. The only thing missing was comfortable garden seating.

charming cottage in great location

Very comfortable well equipped cottage only a few minutes from the market square of Helmsley.

Within easy reach of the coast, moorland and stately homes. There are plenty of restaurants, tea rooms and coffee shops.

House is provided with excellent facilities . Minutes from the active center of town. Recommend you check out the excellent programs at the local theater.. Owner is very attentive and helpful. Strongly recommended.

A beautiful clean cottage in a perfect position in Helmsley. A couple of minutes into the centre for a coffee and plenty of walking from the house without using the car. In spite of being so close to the centre the house is situated in a very quiet cul de sac with beautiful views of the castle and the church. Highly recommended.

Further Details:

The International Centre for Birds of Prey is situated in Duncombe Park only a short walking distance from the house. This is open daily from 1st February to 24 December 10am to 5.30pm (or dusk if earlier) There is the Helmsley Heated Open Air Swimming Pool also a short walk away. Helmsley Art Centre shows films and hosts Art Exhibitions. Slightly further afield is the Ryedale Folk Museum, Castle Howard, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Yorkshire Lavender, (open March to October 10am-5pm) and countless other attractions too numerous to mention. It goes without saying, that this is the most perfect spot to start out for the day walking close by from the house or up on the Yorkshire Moors . Stop for a relaxing lunch at the many pubs situated in the villages or take a picnic. A great way to unwind!
