Lamorna Cottage has been attractively renovated with a spacious and light living space, it has a calm and relaxed atmosphere being situated at the end of a quiet lane. French windows open out the house to the garden and the sound of the sea. It provides 4 bath/shower rooms inside as well as an outside shower and utility room, so is well designed for your return after a day on the beautiful nearby Trevone beaches. It is only 5 mins walk from Trevone Farm shop , cafe and surf shop and a 5 minute drive from the shops and restaurants of Padstow.

Raintree House Holidays is a small beach house letting and management company focusing on a handful of beaches down the coast between Padstow and Porthcothan. All our houses are within walking distance to one of these beautiful beaches and a large number have spectacular sea views. We let our owner’s holiday homes out to guests many of whom we have known for years. Holidays with Raintree will always be memorable and enjoyable as we manage all aspects of the houses ourselves. We employ our own cleaning and maintenance teams, this means we are very flexible and can achieve very high standards across all our houses.

Special interest holidays:

Lamorna Cottage is perfectly located to provide accommodation for those who want to take part in surfing with some of the best surfing in the UK being available at 6 beaches within 5 minutes of the property. Walkers are also well catered for - with the Coast path only a few minutes walk from the house. And if you are interested in cooking, then courses can be organized in Padstow - not surprising with restaurants by Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver, Paul Ainsworth and Nathan Outlaw all being within 10 minutes of the house.

Coast/Beach:

Lamorna Cottage is situated at the end of Bay Road only one hundred and fifty yards from the main sandy beach. A little further round is Newtrain beach and the natural swimming pool. At the end of Bay Road is the surfshop and café. A little further back from the beach is Trevone Farmshop and The Well Parc pub is close by.The area also benefits from a wealth of beautiful nearby beaches - Treyarnon Bay, Constantine Bay, Mother Ivy's Bay, Harlyn Bay and Porthcothan Bay are all within 15 minutes drive.

Travel:

Newquay Airport is 10-15 minutes drive away, while trains can be caught to Bodmin Parkway, a 20 minutes drive.

Distances:

Padstow is 5 minutes drive away, while Newquay is about 25 minutes drive. Rock and Polzeath can be driven to in about 30 minutes - or you can take the passenger ferry across from Padstow. St Ives with its fantastic art galleries and beaches is just 50 minutes away.

A 40% deposit is needed to make a booking with the balance due 4 weeks before the holiday. A £250 refundable security deposit is required.
We welcome short breaks at many times of the year - so please do ask!

Changeover Day:
The standard changeover day is a Friday - with arrival by 4pm and departure by 10am. At half-terms, Easter, and Christmas/New Year, we expect to be flexible on changeover day to fit in with school holidays, so please enquire.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: No dogs please Outside: The garden is a good size and situated behind the house. There is plenty of room for a kick about, and it has a nice terraced eating area accessible from the kitchen and a 2nd small terrace outside the sitting room doors. There is also a useful outside shower. The front of the house is close to the lane but it is a no through road, with Lamorna Cottage being right at the end of the lane, in fact alongside Veilsfield that Raintree also let. Utility Room: Off the hall is a small utility room where you will find the washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and further storage. Other: No dogs please
