Packway Barn 2+2, 4-Star Gold & Rose Awards, Children & Pets Welcome

There is an open plan living space with the kitchen fitted along the length of the back wall with a traditional Belfast sink, electric hob and oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing m/c, coffee m/c (Tassimo T discs) and microwave.

Adjacent to the kitchen the dining area has a large dining table which seats 6. Locking connecting doors between Packway Barn and Twosome give the option for a party of up to 6 guests to hire the two cottages to spend time and dine together). Pictures of Twosome can be viewed on this page.

The sitting area is very welcoming with its comfortable sofa and armchair, TV with Free Sat and DVD and wood burner

The pretty master double bedroom (accessed through the second bedroom) features an open fire and en-suite bathroom. This has a bath with a hand held shower, washbasin and WC.

The second double bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and en-suite shower room. This has a corner shower cubicle, a hand basin and WC.

There is a private garden with furniture and BBQ.

Nestling in the grounds of the owners' large Tudor farmhouse (as featured in the publication "The Perfect English Farmhouse" by Ros Byam Shaw) this is a wonderful location to peacefully wile away the hours. Packway Farm Cottages are approached by a long gravel driveway with private parking. They are set in the tiny hamlet of Chediston which is in the heart of the Suffolk countryside just 2 miles from the market town of Halesworth. Minsmere, Dunwich and North Warren Reserves are within easy reach, and the whole area is ideal for walking, cycling, bird watching, golf, horse riding and sailing. There is a secure bicycle shed available to guests. Steeped in natural beauty the Heritage Coastal towns of Aldburgh and Southwold are just a 20 minute drive. Slightly closer is the world famous Snape Malting concert hall with its international musical offerings and in particular its annual festival in June. In addition to those mentioned above there are many pretty villages within a short drive. For example, Framlingham with its castle and Thorpness with its boating lake and "house in the clouds". Further, but still an easy drive, are Woodbridge with its Tide Mill, Sutton Hoo burial ground, Stoneham Barn crafts and birds of prey centre, and Beccles and the Norfolk Broads to name but a few. Prices include all utilities, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and a start up basket of logs and kindling.

Please be aware there are chickens and ducks in the grounds.

Booking Notes:
Short Breaks (available all year) are normally Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday during the high season but flexible otherwise.
A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance becomes due 6 weeks prior to arrival. If reservation is within 6 weeks of arrival the full amount is due at time of booking.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome. There is a surcharge of £15.00 per dog.

Changeover Day:

Arrival after 4.00pm and departure before 10.00am is the normal.
