Nestling in the grounds of the owners' large Tudor farmhouse (as featured in the publication "The Perfect English Farmhouse" by Ros Byam Shaw) this is a wonderful location to peacefully wile away the hours. Packway Farm Cottages are approached by a long gravel driveway with private parking. They are set in the tiny hamlet of Chediston which is in the heart of the Suffolk countryside just 2 miles from the market town of Halesworth. Minsmere, Dunwich and North Warren Reserves are within easy reach, and the whole area is ideal for walking, cycling, bird watching, golf, horse riding and sailing. There is a secure bicycle shed available to guests. Steeped in natural beauty the Heritage Coastal towns of Aldburgh and Southwold are just a 20 minute drive. Slightly closer is the world famous Snape Malting concert hall with its international musical offerings and in particular its annual festival in June. In addition to those mentioned above there are many pretty villages within a short drive. For example, Framlingham with its castle and Thorpness with its boating lake and "house in the clouds". Further, but still an easy drive, are Woodbridge with its Tide Mill, Sutton Hoo burial ground, Stoneham Barn crafts and birds of prey centre, and Beccles and the Norfolk Broads to name but a few. Prices include all utilities, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and a start up basket of logs and kindling.
Please be aware there are chickens and ducks in the grounds.
Short Breaks (available all year) are normally Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday during the high season but flexible otherwise.

We spent the Easter bank holiday (3 nights) weekend in 'Twosome' and it was the perfect English countryside escape! We booked last minute and, on arriving, realised how lucky we had been to find such a great place. The cottage is cosy, inviting and beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. We loved sitting in front of the wood burning stove every evening with a bottle of wine and waking up every morning in the comfortable bed in the loft room. Chediston and its surrounding areas are very beautiful, there is a lot to see and do - from seaside walks, with the obligatory fish and chips, to beautiful National Trust reserves and Suffolk villages to explore. We would love to say something about eating out locally but Twosome was so comfortable we ended up cooking and eating in every night! The cottage is in a barn conversion next to a gorgeous farmhouse. The owners of Packway Farm are a lovely couple and they did more than was necessary to make our stay as enjoyable as possible - from goodies on arrival to a pair of cold Suffolk beers when we came back from a cross-country jog. We could not rate this cottage or this holiday experience more highly! Thank you.
