Rebuild old stone dalmatian house into modern spacious facility with all amenities required for private, active holidays. Modern interior design, featuring: fast internet line with WiFi, cable TV, DVD player, working computer with Linux Fedora OS. Modern kitchen with all necessary equipment, modern bathroom with washing machine, 3 spacious bedrooms with double bed (1.80x2m and 2 x 1.60x2m), large living room with garden openings, dinning room. There is a large terrace with beautiful view to the beach and port. The local village beach, with the beach bar, are in the front of the house, where private parking place for 2 cars is available. Garden featuring Mediterranean plants with olive, lemon and orange trees has swimming pool (7.5 x 3.5). There is an outside shower with 4 deck chairs, handmade barbecue place and large courtyard (covered with sandstone) for dinning and activities. From the outside world, garden is separated with stone wall and with the plant's created natural wall. The whole Villa Luna area is separated with high walls, giving to its guests the privacy they need.

In the courtyard, there is a dinning table for 5 people, plus sofas for relaxing. This part of the garden is protected from the sun with reed giving the best shade during the strong sun periods.

Idyllic villa on friendly island

We spent a lovely week in the end of July at Villa Luna. The house turned out better than expected with a large outside area with shady parts and all day sun, great size pool (chlorinated) with a good wood fired grill which was perfect for communal dinners.

Each room was equipped with an air conditioner necessary rather luxurious with regards to the heat.

We were close to a local store which had all the basic needs, good hours and fairly priced if you got there early before 0900 there was fresh fish sold alongside it. Beach and beach bar just outside the gates to the villa.

Sinisa was a great host friendly, helpful and trustworthy. He helped us organize transportation to/from Split which was very convenient. Sinisa helped even with where to go and what to eat and communication was never a problem.

A few other things regarding the location.

We found that it was very worthwhile hiring mopeds as we were able to explore a much larger area of the island with them. There is a possibility to negotiate a good deal with the information center if you hire for an extended time or hire many! We found that the north of the island was nicer than than the south and each were easily reachable by mopeds.

There were many volleyball courts around the island + a few water polo courts in the sea for entertainment.

A good idea is to hire a private boat if you are enough people, we went to the island Otok Iz and saw tuna being bred. The captain was very knowledgeable and we ate lunch at a great fish restaurant Konoba Diza in the town Mali Iz.

We are 6 adults, 3 couples from Sweden.

Absolutely fantastic

This was a wonderful holiday for us. The villa was perfect, the area beautiful and peaceful and the villa owner very accommodating and helpful. The only drawback was, apart from the Marina Restaurant, the nearest restaurants are three kilometers away. Other than that, I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this villa.

10 meters from the Villa Luna there is local village beach with a beach bar open in summer. It is sand beach. The best wild beaches could be reached by boat or car. Marina "Olive Island" in Sutomiscica or private speed boat services, could provide transport, on agreement. Walking from the property towards the end of peninsula, stone beaches are found.

Visiting ancient castle of St. Mihovil, build by Cruseiders, walking distance 1.5 hours, with magnificent views of Adriatic islands is to be ..

By Plane: airport of Zadar, connected by Ryan Air. 20min by taxi to Zadar, 20 min by ferry or boat from Zadar to Preko (further 3km distance to Sutomiscica).

Peaceful place where I am able to concentrate to my work and hobbies (e.g. oil painting). In the winter, with two fireplaces, it is very relaxing (but you can not swim in the sea, however, swimming pool option is there). In the summer, house is very pleasant (with outside temp of 35, inside, without air conditioning, 20 degrees). It is very powerful place, one would like to have this place as an ordinary residence ...

  • Notes on accommodation: Access to the sea: In the front of Villa Luna, there is local beach with shower and the beach bar. Literary, 10m. In the summer, there is a lot of people there. It is a sand beach, but not a natural one as you can find on some other parts of the island. To access wild beaches, you have to use either bicycle / car or for most of them, the boat. Detail map of all natural sand/stone island's beaches is provided on property. Speed boats for transport could be arranged. The house is fully thermally and sound isolated. Due to the closeness to the beach, evenings could be fresh. On the very warm days, house is very pleasant due to old thick walls. Outside: Swimming Pool: 7.5 x 3.5 meters swimming pool with nightlights, shower and 4 deck chairs, private. Dinning in the garden: On the large patio surrounding the house and the garden, there is handmade large fireplace for barbecue, dinning table for 5 and few sofas for afternoon relaxing. Utility Room: Washing machine, dishwasher Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: price includes: 7 nights, initial and final cleaning, garden maintenance, gas, water, electricity, tourist tax, laundry (towels/linen per week), internet access. Well behaved pets are welcome with an extra cleaning charge of 50 Euro per pet per week. Other: Dinning Room: doors between living room opens into large space featuring dinning table with 6 chairs.
