Cottage in Organyà, Nr. Coll De Nargo, Lleida / Pyrenees, Spain - A Luxury Home With Private Pool And Total Privacy In A Peaceful Rural Setting

Cal Peguera is a lovely, completely restored and very well equipped authentic farmhouse with private pool. Set in 14 hectares of wooded and terraced farmland the house offers complete tranquility, with only the sound of goat bells and birdsong to disturb the silence. It has a secluded situation and the nearest village with good restaurants, nice terraces, a bank and all kinds of shops is Organyà at about 4 km. The property is located at 900 m above sea level in a typically rural area of the Spanish pre-Pyrenees with many paths and tracks for walking, biking, horseback riding and with many lakes and rivers for swimming, fishing and white water sports. Cal Peguera is 35 km away from Andorra and 20 km away from La Seu d'Urgell, town that counts with all services. The town has a beautiful old part called Seu Vella with its medieval streets, lots of activities, fairs, festivals and outdoor market every Tuesday and Saturday. The natural swimming pool with adjoining lawns, the garden with the outdoor kitchen with BBQ, the terrace on the other side of the house, all have stunning views over the valley of the river Segre and the surrounding mountains, and are ideal for relaxing and long summer night meals. Cal Peguera is the place to get away from it all, and you will notice that it is hard to leave this wonderful place. But, there is much more to do like experiencing Spanish live by getting in touch with the friendly local people on the different fiestas and markets, do numerous (sports) activities and day trips, visit medieval picturesque villages, enjoy a drink and some tapas on a sunset terrace, etc.

A fantastic spacious home with stunning view.

Stayed a week in mid september. We had quite high expectations but the property topped them all. The place i beautiful an wery relaxing, its hard to find a better view on a hillside. Everything is built as a personal summer home with high standard. No typical rental home cheap stuff. The kitchen is very good, with big gas/electric stowe, nice plates, wine glasses etc. Nice separate bathroom with washer. Big living room with huge fireplace. We did not use it as the weather was nice and for two persons the two upper stairs are more than enough. The natural pool is gorgeous, and the water naturally as soft as a lake, but if you are afraid of the tiny frog babies that help cleaning the pool, you are not gonna swim.

Don't come here with a sports car the road upp from the village is a steap dirt road in not the best condition. Heavy rain will quickly make it worse. You can manage it with a normal car. People are very nice especially Yolanda who gave us the key and the man (sorry forgot his name) that took us app to the palace.They did not speak english but that was no problem. And also Brot, the kindest watch dog i´we ever met, very well schooled. He lives outside, never comes inside. He only comes to check you when you arrive with car back to the property and sometimes puts he's nose trough the kitchen door in the morning.

Stunning property with beautiful views all round

The property is in a fantastic location, high up on the mountainside, with stunning views all round - it's a 20 minute or so drive up a steep track from Organya, but worth it. The property itself is recently renovated and as good as the photos suggest - and we loved the natural swimming pool.

Sehr sehr schönes Haus in Alleinlage

Das Haus liegt auf 800m auf dem Berg - nichts rundherum außer Aussicht. Man hat vollends seine Ruhe kann ungestört entspannen. Die Beschreibung stimmt vollständig mit den Tatsachen überein, Haus und Pool sind klasse, Entspannung pur. Die Anlage genau so wie das Haus innen ist super gepflegt.

Die Besitzerin kommuniziert super auf Englisch per Mail, die Verwalter vor Ort haben mit Englisch ein paar Problemchen - aber es fand sich immer jemand, der übersetzt hat. Einfach freundlich und offen auf die Menschen zugehen.

Kleiner Tipp: Im gesamten Haus befindet sich weder ein Radio noch ein Fernseher sowie auch kein Anschluß dafür. Wir wollten das genau so, das muss ja aber nicht bei jedem so sein.

Vorsichtig sollte man mit der Anfahrt zum Haus sein. Die letzten 5km führen durch eine schmale Ortschaft, die letzten 3km sind ein ungepflasterter Weg mit ein paar Serpentinen. Dieses ist mit Hänger nicht zu schaffen - die Mercedes E-Klasse Kombi bzw. ein VM T5 haben ihn bewältigen können. Ob das bei nassen Verhältnissen immer noch so wäre, das ist zu bezweifeln. Mit Allrad und vernünftiger Bodenfreiheit aber kein Problem.

Einzig störend sind kleine Biester, so etwas ähnliches wie Mücken - aber in der Auswirkung deutlich schlimmer. Man sollte in Autan baden - AntiBrumm hat auch passabel geholfen. Dafür kann aber weder das Haus noch sein Eigentümer was.

A car is essential for travel in this area. Distances from the following airports to Cal Peguera as follows:

Barcelona 170 km / 2 hours.

Reus 150 km / 2 hours.

Girona 200 km / 2 hours 20 mins.

Toulouse (Fr.) 252 km / 3 hour 20 mins.

Distances:

Cal Peguera has a secluded situation. The nearest village with shops, bars, etc is Organyà at 4 km. The road up to Cal Pequera is mostly asphalted and you pass 3 other small villages with no amenities. The last part (about 3 km.) is over a well maintained track.

Further Details:

The surrounding countryside has a rich diversity of birds and birds of prey, wild flowers and butterflies. In the evening you will be amazed by the breathtaking starry skies. There are plenty of opportunities for everyone for a great holiday: there is no mass tourism, it is a welcoming and quiet area, of interest related to gastronomy, geology and architecture. A place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife, but it is also a place that tempts you to practice sports and have adventures.

The people are friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Eating out in the region is very reasonably priced; a 3 course meal of local specialties including wine and coffee costs around € 10,-.
