Fully equipped modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, cafetiere, toaster, juicer, washing machine, a full range of utensils, pans and crockery and a dining table with seating for 6. 2 large twin bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. Modern bathroom with toilet, sink and walk in rain shower. Large covered south facing terrace with table, 6 chairs and 2 sun loungers, BBQ and direct access to the communal gardens. Safe, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and clothes airer. Towels & beach towels provided, linen changed weekly for 2 week summer lets. Wi fi available in the apartment for a small additional charge with free wifi at most of the local restaurants.

Having visited the Albufeira area for the last 20 years and the Sao Rafael complex in particular since 2009 we decided in 2014 to purchase our own apartment. We now visit 3 or 4 times a year, mainly to relax and enjoy our holiday but also to ensure that the high standard of our apartment is maintained.

Activity and Interests


The large beach of Sao Rafael is an 8 minute walk and the smaller picturesque Arrifes beach is less than 10 minutes walk.


Sao Rafael is approximately 35 minutes drive from Faro airport. The owner can recommend a taxi company to guests for airport transfers.


Albufeira, with its shops, bars and restaurants, is a 5 minute drive.

Further Details:

There are several bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment so a car is not necessary. These range from local establishments serving traditional Portuguese fare to 5* hotels so something for everyone. There is a small general store a short walk away with larger supermarkets 5 mins by car or taxi.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and definitely has the wow factor. Outside: The south facing covered terrace leads directly to the large semi private garden. Patio furniture consists of a table, 6 chairs, 2 loungers and a BBQ. The large communal swimming pool and children's pool are 100 metres away. Due to its ground floor position this apartment is ideal for young and old alike. Guests can spread out onto the grass so there is plenty of space (and sun) for everyone. The covered terrace offers shade in the summer but creates a sun trap in the winter months making it ideal for long term low season rents. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, linen and beach towels are included. Weekly cleaning service provided May - October.
