I love the convenience of my villa! The villa is centrally located in Marbella and is situated on the exclusive Golden Mile, named as such because of the luxury villas and hotels along that stretch of beach. The area is in a much sought-after part of Marbella and the urbanisation is accessed by an automatic barrier. The villa is beautifully furnished to a high standard and is re-painted yearly to ensure it feels clean and fresh. The villa was previously let to a well-known rental company who expected the property to be maintained to high standards. There are therefore, good quality linen and bath towels provided. The villa is secluded and has a small garden with pool and barbecue. It is accessed by an electric gate and intercom system so if you don't know who is at the gate, you don't have to open it. The area is safe and you can be reassured that the villa is not in an area that you will have noisy revellers walking past. The popular Casablanca Beach is just 2 minutes walk and has a lovely promenade where you will find an array of cafes, bars and restaurants serving traditional Spanish cuisine such as paella, seafood and tapas as well as international dishes on offer. The beaches have sunbeds and umbrellas to hire and you will have a choice of trendy, chic and traditional 'chiringuito' style beach bars. The back streets of Marbella also provide many restaurants and bars and are close enough to walk to or if you want to drive, parking is easy on the streets with parking free after 8pm. The Old Town Marbella, with the famous Orange Square is a 15 minute walk or 20 minute stroll while you window shop on the way. The local bus will also take you there in 10 minutes. If you want a lively night out visiting clubs and celebrity bars then Puerto Banus is for you and is a 10 minute drive away or cheap taxi ride.

I lived in Marbella for 14 years after falling in love with the Mediterranean lifestyle and its charm. I taught in an English international school just across the road from my villa before a change of career and working as a Deputy Editor of a well-known glossy magazine on the coast. So I know all the best local haunts to visit!

In 2008 I moved back to the UK. I now live with my fiancé in Buckinghamshire....he is the reason I left the beautiful Med!

The property was purchased in 2002

I still spend a lot of time back in Marbella and my villa is still home-from-home.

Excellent Holiday Experience!

This immaculately clean Villa is in an exceptional location. We found it easy to find our way around the area and just a short stroll to the beach, restaurants and shops.

The property management was superb and our host, Karen, ensured we had all the information we required for a trouble-free stay and the Villa was extremely well-equipped.

The location of the Villa also meant that we were never disturbed at night but just a few minutes walk would take us to where the action was!

All in all one of the best holidays we have ever had - thanks Karen x

Just perfect!

We stayed as a family of four (five and two year old) it was just the right size. It was in the perfect location and many things could be reached by walking. We had hired a car as we wanted to go to Gibraltar and various other places.

The villa owner Karen was so helpful and responded with any queries we had quickly.

The beach fronts were clean and there were loads for the children to do.

Marbella is a great location for travelling around the Costa Del Sol!

Wonderful Villa in a Great Location!

The villa is really lovely, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished - one of the nicest villas we have ever stayed in, plus a surprisingly good welcome pack!

Location was great, a short walk to the beach with lots of bars and restaurants all in walking distance.

Karen was easily contacted if we had any queries and was always more than helpful.

We would highly recommend this villa.

Beautiful luxurious retreat

Very pleasantly surprised when we saw the quality of the villa. It was a great size, cool in the hot sun and very well fitted out.

The location was also great. Very near a quiet section of beach, within walking distance of exciting nightlife, but also quiet enough for peace and relaxation.

Also particualrly helpful is that one of the late bars on that stretch of beach is just before the turn home, perfect for one last drink before turning in

Location

From the Owner

When I decided to buy, I chose the Golden Mile as where I wanted to live permanently. It is away from the noisiness of Puerto Banus (although only a 5 minute drive away) and walking distance to an array of bars, restaurants and tapas bars. The beach is 2 minutes walk from the villa with a lovely promenade to stroll along. Malaga airport is just 45 minutes drive away on the toll route. If you don't want to drive, everything is just a walk away! Being close to the beach means everything is on level ground so easy to walk everywhere. There are bus stops, taxi ranks all on your doorstep and Marbella bus station is a 7 euro taxi ride away, where you can hop on the direct airport connection coach. I use this service regularly. I really wouldn't live anywhere else....

Activity and Interests

Nearest Beach : Casablanca Beach at 200 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The property is 2-5 minutes walk to the popular Casablanca beach on foot so a car is not necessary. There is so much to see in the local areas from the Orange Square in Old Town Marbella, which is a 15 minute walk or 10 minute drive with parking, to the luxurious boats moored in Puerto Banus, just a 10 minute drive away or a short bus ride away. The promenade offers mostly a flat surface. A nice run all the way to Puerto Banus!

Granada and the bustling city of Malaga are highly recommended.

Travel:

Malaga airport is 45 minutes drive on the toll route or 50 minutes on the coastal road and is easily accessible by the direct coach service from the airport to Marbella bus station, which is also a hub for getting to other destinations. A car is not necessary as everything is walking distance from the the villa or can be located by the local taxi rank at the top of the road or by bus. A visit to the lively Puerto Banus is just a 10 minute taxi ride away.

Distances:

Puerto Banus is just under 5 km and the Old Town of Marbella around 3km.

Further Details:

There are 3 supermarkets which are walking distance to the villa so there is plenty of choice. The local shopping, including Zara, Mango and more typical souvenir shopping are a 5-10 minute walk or there is off street metred parking or underground parking all close by. The famous El Corte Ingles department store is situated in Puerto Banus and is a 10 minute drive including parking. For those who love designer shopping everything luxurious can be found in then area of Puerto Banus, Marina Banus and El Corte Ingles...all just a 5-10 minute drive away.

Booking Notes:
We require a 50% non refundable deposit to secure a booking and the balance plus security deposit would be due 10 days before arrival. Prices are per week in English pounds by Owners Direct Secure Payment system. A security deposit of £200 is also requested per rental to be paid with the balance to cover any damages, breakages, etc. This amount will be refunded in part or full within 7 days after your departure, providing no major damages occur.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are on Fridays. Arrival times are after 1pm and departure must be before 10am unless prior arrangements have been made with us directly and will depend on incoming guests. Please ask about other arrival days during off peak times.

Notes on prices:
There is a minimum rental charge of £400 (pounds) for stays of less than 7 nights during the off peak season.

A 50% deposit to secure a booking is required.

Clients love the fact that you can walk everywhere and you have a choice of supermarkets, banks and famous high street clothes shops all in walking distance from the villa. The villa itself is equipped with WiFi and has a wide screen TV with some English programmes. You have an iPod dock, dishwasher and washing machine to use at your convenience, a safe and log fire, should you need it. The villa has air conditioning in both bedrooms and portable radiators throughout. There is a housekeeper, Julia, who has been with me for over 15 years (in my previous house too) and knows just how I like to present the villa to my clients. She comes in weekly for a bed linen change and to see if you need anything.

  • Notes on accommodation: Beach and popular promenade location. The garden is well-manicured and maintained by my trusted gardener and the pool is cleaned weekly. The pool is not suitable as an exercise pool and is more like a large plunge pool or children's pool. The villa has a private drive and also has an enclosed drive accessed by electric gates. Outside: Small manicured, private garden with patio, barbecue and garden furniture where you can enjoy a cold glass of beer or wine after a day in the sun. The patio area offers a cooler shaded area, ideal for al fresco eating but there are also many areas to sunbathe privately. The pool is approximately 1.40 metres deep at the deepest end and is small and ideal as a children's pool if supervised by an adult in the pool. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels, including beach towels are provided and a mid week change of bed linen and towels carried out by housekeeper for stays of 2 weeks or more. Other: Entrance hall and guest toilet.
