My husband Tim and I have lived in North Yorkshire for most of our lives. The Cottage is in the grounds of our house so we will usually be on hand to offer as much or little assistance as you require

With 2 children aged 5 and 3 we moved here for them to experience village life yet be near enough to the towns and attractions we also enjoy experiencing.

Kind regards, Emma

Lovely place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage had everything we required, clean and in a quiet and private setting. The cottage is very handy for Harrogate, York and the surrounding county. It is lovely to come back to in the evenings where you can relax in the garden. We really enjoyed our stay and if we are ever in the area again, we will certainly hope the cottage is available

Beautiful cottage perfectly located

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was comfortable and welcoming, with everything you need for a weekend visit to York Christmas shopping. Close enough to York and Harrogate for the shopping but far enough into the countryside to feel you have escaped. I am sure we will be back.

Cosy and homely.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage and location was perfect for a holiday. So much to see within a small radius - Fountains Abbey, Knaresborough, Ripon and Harrogate. Owners were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone who wants a holiday in the countryside but also lots of places to visit and walk round within a short drive. Love to return in the future.

Cosy cottage

  • 4 of 5

We spent 6 very comfortable nights in this cosy cottage ,everything we needed was catered for

Situated in the owners lovely garden it was very peaceful and in a well positioned situation.Very handy for York and Harrogate and our particular favourite North Yorkshire Moors. We especially enjoyed Helmsley and Goathland. Our only quibble would be that the lighting was quite dull and did not lend itself very well to reading in the evening.

We had lovely meals at The Ship and The Blue Bell and would certainly stay in this cottage again.

Cosy, well equipped, good location.

  • 5 of 5

We spent days in Knaresborough and Harrogate and a night in the local pub at Staveley which did lovely food. We weren't so lucky with the weather but it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves.
