Overview

About the property

3 bedroom flint cottage near the beach

This traditional flint cottage was one of the original Fisherman's Cottages in Sheringham. Having enjoyed holidays on the North Norfolk coast for some years we bought 'Rose Cottage,' having fallen in love with its quirky layout, the light, airy and peaceful feel and most importantly; its wonderful location near to the beach. It is also very conveniently located for the all the amenities that Sheringham has to offer. It is a great place to enjoy the local ice-cream parlours or our favourite; eating Fish and Chips on the beautiful beach.

About Richard Munday

As a family we've loved holidaying in Norfolk for many years. Sheringham is a great place with young children and there are many beautiful, safe beaches to choose from in the area as well as great days out.

Why Richard Munday chose North Norfolk & Coast

We fell in love with the quirky nature of the property and its historic features. Sheringham for us has always been such a friendly and welcoming town offering everything we could need and a fabulous beach.

The high street is bustling and full of local shops and traders

What makes this cottage unique

The property is conveniently located for the main high street which has everything we've ever needed whilst also being wonderfully close to the sea.

Well loved property

  • 4 of 5

Well maintained with little extras like wine. Good quality bed linen. Fantastically well situated for beach and town

It felt like it was loved by its owners. We would certainly want to go again in spite of the bumped heads.

The cottage when we arrived was exactly as the pictures showed beautiful rooms and garden ,great location 1 minute from the beach and a very welcoming bottle of wine after a 4 hour journey in fact, we had such a good time we tried to extend our stay!!!On a personal note the only thing I missed was a stand up shower but that's just me i'm not a bath person!!!

Beautiful little Fisherman's cottage, seconds from the beach

  • 4 of 5

I write a lot about travel, and we stay in a lot of properties, and you can always always tell the properties that are well loved by the people that own them - this is one of those places. First impressions from the outside have you wondering how you are all going to fit it, but don't be fooled, this lovely little place is tardis like inside. Less than 40 seconds from the beach (we timed it!), and minutes from Sheringham High Street, what more can you want? Try Straits for the best fish and chips, and don't miss the Funky Mackerel!

Excellent property and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Excellent standard in this property for decor, kitchen, appliances, bedrooms. The location was very close to the beach and high street so no need for a car once you arrive, just relax and enjoy. Very good communication with owner was helpful. Plenty of information available. Overall this was a cosy, warm, very enjoyable home which has been well decorated and maintained. We had an excellent weekend.
