About the Owner
We are Ty and Helen Stainfield and we have been happily married for 32 years. Our two boys are grown up now and we have one little grandson who we adore.
We have owned the villa for 10 years. It is firstly our families holiday home and secondly a rental property so you get all the added bonuses of a family home.
As teachers nearing retirement age we are really looking forward to using our beautiful home in the sun outside of school holidays.

Well equipped, spotlessly clean villa
We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this villa. It was very well maintained with a lovely pool in a really quiet neighbourhood.
Ray from next door met us on arrival to show us around and was so kind. An absolute gentleman.
Villa had everything you could want to enjoy your stay.
Absolutely amazing a holiday home with a true Spanish feel a lovely village
Everything we needed a big plus having uk TV to chill out with at night. The pool was beautiful as the weather was absolutely burning hot , very peaceful around the neighbourhood which was a big plus 😃
If you are looking for a nice quiet relaxing holiday this villa and location is perfect. The villa itself is modern, very clean and tidy with everything you need. Extra nice touch were the hair straighteners that came in useful. The pool is a godsend as it was very hot. Recommend a car to really appreciate the surrounding areas although bars and restaurants are within walking distance.
Spent a lovely week here, the villa is in a quiet residential area and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The centre of Sucina is a short walk away, with it's bars and restaurants. As we were here only for a week, we did not hire a car as Sucina and villa had everything we needed. Helen was very helpful and responded quickly to any queries we had. Would certainly recommend staying here.
A lovely villa which is a family home.
The villa was well equipped in the kitchen, knives and saucepans excellent. Very well kept and furnished like a family home. We used the wood burner whilst here as weather turned cold and it was great. Easy access to village and eating places. Very little traffic driving very relaxing, easy to get to the beautiful beaches about 10 miles. Would recommend this villa to anyone looking for accommodation in Succina. Spent seven weeks there. Helen very helpful with all booking queries and information.

“We bought our property from plan in 2002. We chose this area as it had the highest amount of sunshine in Europe per year. It is cheap to get to as it is less than 2 hours to get to from the UK. It is close enough for us to drive to if we wanted to. Car hire is very reasonable and we rarely pay more than 70e a week even in the school holidays. The beaches are stunning! Sandy and quiet at all times of the year. It's not too English but you never feel isolated. You have a real choice of the inland Mar Menor sea, which is safe and warm for the little ones, but also the Mediterranean for the wonderful snorkeling in crystal clear water. Prices are very reasonable in the bars and restaurants with a huge range of different cuisines. As keen golfers we couldn't have picked a better area.”
Activity and Interests
It is 12 minutes by car to lots of beautiful sandy beaches on the safe and beautiful inland sea of the Mar Menor or the Mediterranean. The area Mar Menor is renowned for the rejuvenation qualities of it's inland sea water. The water is even warmer than the nearby Mediterranean and has no tide and is shallow so is especially save for young children. The Mediterranean beaches are a similar distance. You never pay for parking and the beaches are quiet and unspoilt even in the height of summer
The nearest airport is Murcia Airport, 12 minutes by car or Alicante which is 50 minutes on a straight motorway.
The regional capital Murcia City with its famous Cathedral is 30 minutes drive. The spectacular Sierra Esponas mountains are 50 minutes away. The Roman port of Cartagena is 30 minutes drive. The medieval village of Lorca is 3/4 of an hour. Within 30 minutes is the Calblanque Regional Park which is a protected area where mountains plunge into the Mediterranean. Here can be found the best beaches totally unspoiled. Activities here include hiking, horse riding and even mountain climbing.
Sucina has several banks, lots of bars and restaurants and has a lively social atmosphere. There are 3 supermarkets, a vets, a pharmacy, clothes shops and a garage. The coastal area of Murcia is known as the Costa Calida or "warm Coast. It stretches from the largest lagoon in Europe (the Mar Menor) around the La Manga strip and along the Mediterranean coast to Aguilas in the south. The villages around the Mar Menor have been tourist destinations for the Spanish for many years. The beautiful beaches of resorts such as Lo Pagan, Santiago de La Ribera and Los Alcazares (a resort even in Roman times) are on the crystal clear northern end and is quite shallow (maximum depth of 7m) so it is excellent for children as it's beaches shelve very gently .In the summer, the waters are literally like a warm bath. The whole area is a Mecca for lovers of water sports of all kinds, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, jet skis, snorkeling, scuba diving or just swimming. There are many marinas in the area and several schools for these activities. Taking the motorways inland you can discover the Ricote Valley. This region is famous forit's unspoied scenery with apricot and plum orchards, vineyards, olives, cereal crops and even rice growing in the fields between the mountains. This is a great area to explore all of the small villages and towns and there are some real gems here. The small town of Mula with it's narrow streets is nestled beneath the castleand has some beautiful churches. The villages of Bullas and Jumilla are famous for the excellent wine from this region and contain some lovely old buildings.

“The property is right next to a natural bird sanctuary and we have baby owls come and sit on our gate post. It is very peaceful and quiet, but the village is just a short walk away which has several bars and restaurants for lovely family evenings. The pool is big enough to do proper lengths and you really needn't go out of the village if you didn't want to. However you would be missing a treat with all the lovely beaches and places of interest. We love playing golf and the courses are very reasonably priced and just fabulous courses. At the moment we have a deal with the course in the village and play 18 holes for 20 Euros. The village is a real mixture of Spanish and English. It is very sociable and welcoming. In the summer months the town square is the venue for live bands at the weekend”
