Camana is a brand new detached house completed in Mar 2015 and is a beautiful self catering property providing luxury accommodation for up to eight people. Camana is situated in Carbis Bay, St Ives in a very peaceful location, and is only a 15-minute walk into St Ives, the harbour and beaches. If you love modern, pure white surroundings and clean lines then our holiday property is just for you. It has parking for two cars - a 3rd space available on request. The nearest pub is The Cornish Arms and is one-minutes walk away. Tesco is just around the corner too - one-minutes walk - handy :-)

Camana is light and airy. Downstairs is all open-plan with a fantastic spacious kitchen/living/dining area perfect to share with family & friends. It has two large sofas and a large white gloss dining table that can extend to seat 10 people. There is oak flooring throughout with modern furniture. It has a 40" flat screen TV and YouView box. The kitchen is well equipped with double oven, American-style fridge/freezer, 4-ring hob, toaster, kettle and beech block worktops.

Upstairs each bedroom has a king-size bed with luxury 1000 pocket sprung mattress to ensure the perfect nights sleep. Each room has the facility to sleep one other person on a pull out bed (suitable for children only). The downstairs bedroom has twin beds with luxury 1000 pocket sprung mattresses, tv + dvd.

Downstairs there is a utility room with wc, washer/dryer, sink and plenty of storage space.

Outside there is a large patio area with table and chairs where you can enjoy both morning and evening sun and make the most of outdoor living. With sea views, parking for two cars (3rd space on request), bed linen, towels, all bills, wifi and YouView box, it has everything you need for a perfect holiday.

We require a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday.

We require a damage deposit/cleaning fee of £150 which is returned once the property has been checked.

We stayed here for a week in July with our teenage daughters, communications with the owner prior to the trip were excellent. The house is as described, it has been very well thought out, the only thing I would add would be a hot tub!

We met the owner whilst we were there who wanted to make sure everything was ok, she was very pleasant and helpful.

The house is excellently placed for the local beaches which have to be amongst the best in the country, there is a great pub a few minutes walk away, a superstore around the corner and St Ives is about a 20 minute walk away.

I have recommended the house to friends and family, its hard to imagine you could get somewhere better in the same price range.

My daughter and I had a short visit to St Ives and stayed in the delightful studio.

Our host was on hand for anything we needed, which was not much because the studio was fully equipped and catered for everything, however it extended beyond this including tips and advice about the local area, nothing was too much effort.

The studio was immaculate and not far at all from the centre of St Ives. Thoroughly recommend :D

Stunning spacious and modern property

Would definitely recommend this property. It's very spacious and modern with lovely comfy beds. Very well equipped - even plates/cutlery for the kids. It's conveniently located just next to Tesco and near the bus stop for St Ives. Train station also not too far away. It's walking distance into St Ives but quite a hill on the way home!

The property was extremely clean and well maintained.

Overall - it's a fantastic house and would love to stay again soon :)

Fantastic week at Camana

We have just arrived back from an amazing week at Camana. The house is fantastic and has got everything you could possibly want during your stay. The owners have definitely thought of everything and are more than accommodating with any requests. The house is a short walk to the beach, and down to St Ives. Which saves loads on parking, plus the hassle of trying to park during the school holidays. It's 2 minutes from Tresco and the cornish Arms pub, which does great food and has pool tables and sky sports. Which is also a bonus when you've got 3 boys. Overall fantastic I would definitely recommend this property.

Excellent Holiday Home

Camana provided very comfortable accommodation for our party of 5 adults. The rooms are clean, bright and spacious. It was useful to have 2 upstairs bathrooms and a sink and toilet downstairs and the 2 parking spaces were appreciated. The equipment was good and there was nothing more that we needed. It was useful to have plenty of glasses and mugs. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine on the terrace. Correspondence with the owner pre booking and pre arrival was prompt and very friendly. The list of equipment (number of tea towels etc) which we received was handy so we knew what not to pack. Access to the coastal path is directly opposite the road and it is a pleasant downhill walk to St Ives with a walk uphill back along the road or along the coastal path (steeper). It was relaxing not having to find parking in St Ives. The proximity of Tesco makes catering easy and the Cornish Arms (3 mins walk) do very good home cooked Sunday lunches and evening meals. Despite being close to these facilities the house is set well back off the main road and is peaceful. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Brilliant Space in Excellent Location

Every thing about our experience staying at Camana was great, right from the friendly and efficient communication with Samara all through the booking process, to the overall impression and functionality of the property. Our deposit was also returned speedily.

Even though it was just two of us, we appreciated having the usual amount of space to dress etc., that we normally have. Much easier than battling for the bathroom in an hotel. Safe, off-road parking is also important to us; if you are a larger family with two vehicles, you'll find the property ideal, as there are two parking spaces. The nearest grocery store is literally around the corner - I'll leave you to decide whether it, or another supermarket in Penzance has the best view from the car-park, and indeed coffee shop! The neighbourhood is really quiet, but road access is really easy. Walking into St. Ives takes about 15 mins (though admittedly we are v. fast walkers); maybe allow an extra 5 mins to get back up the hill though. Which is good, because you can walk off your dessert easily! Failing that, there are bus stops near the house, and the taxis are very reasonably priced too. We also loved the proximity to an amazing vegetarian restaurant (The Bean Inn). Honestly, even if you're not veggie, try it.

The property has everything you could need, it's exceptionally neat, warm and clean, and I would not hesitate to return, or recommend it to friends.

Fabulous week

We really enjoyed our stay at Camana. The house was large, clean, bright and airy. It was well suited to our grown-up family, the facilities extensive and easy to use. The highlight for me, was that the house was situated close to the entrance to the coastal path between Carbis Bay and St Ives, my favourites walk anywhere.

My husband and I bought this plot of land and have built our first house. It has been a fantastic experience. We have put a lot of love into the build with a view to giving our customers the best holiday experience. Camana is a detached property in a lovely quiet location but you are not far away from the hustle and bustle of St Ives. There are lovely sea glimpses from the kitchen/living area. You will experience a holiday to remember.

Nearest Airport : Newquay Airport at 38.1 Miles Nearest Barpub : The Cornish Arms at 0.1 Miles Nearest Golf : Tregenna Castle at 0.5 Miles Nearest Train : St Ives Branch Line at 0.8 Miles Nearest Restaurant : The Cornish Arms at 0.1 Miles Nearest Beach : Porthminster Beach at 0.8 Miles Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Camana is a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Porthminster Beach. We are spoilt for choice in St Ives with 3 other stunning beaches all within walking distance. We have stunning coastal walks too so there is something for everyone.

Travel:

DRIVING - Take the A30 & follow signs for St Ives via A3074. You are approx 2.5 miles from your destination.

Continue on the A3074 passing through Lelant & into Carbis Bay.

Continue through Carbis Bay & as soon as you’ve gone straight over the mini roundabout at Tesco, take your first left into Hecla Drive.

Drive up Hecla Drive & Camana is the big white building on our left.

TRAIN - Nearest main line station is St Erth & nearest branch line station is St Ives.

Distances:

Camana is in Carbis Bay, St Ives and is only a short walk into St Ives, the harbour and beaches. The nearest supermarket is Tesco which is one minutes walk away. The Cornish Arms is the nearest pub and is less than a minutes walk away. There are two bus stops. One near Tesco and one near the Cornish Arms.

  • Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 8 (3 Bedrooms) Notes on bedrooms: Bedrooms 1 & 2 (one with en-suite) - KING SIZE BEDS, luxury 1000 pocket sprung mattresses. Each room has the facility to sleep one other person on a pullout bed. We say really only suitable for children due to the fact that they are in the main bedrooms. That said the pullout beds are full size with slatted base. Bedroom 3 is downstairs - twin beds with luxury 1000 pocket sprung mattresses. Tv with DVD player. We also have two travel cots available on request. Please note we do not provide bedding.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: A £150 damage deposit/cleaning fee is required. All kitchen related items must be returned to the cupboards clean ready for the next guests. The fee will be returned once the property has been checked. You should receive your fee within two weeks of vacating the property. Outside: Camana has a lovely patio area with outdoor furniture and is very private. It has lots of morning sun and then lovely evening sun too. It has a rotary washing line should you need it. Utility Room: The utility has a washer/dryer, sink, wc and plenty of storage. Towels / Linen: All towels and linen are included. One bath towel per person. One hand towel is provided per bathroom (ie 3)
