Chalet in Gurnard, Isle of Wight, Peaceful Location With Private Beach Tucked Away, Stunning Sunsets Ideal For Families And Sailors

Parking is is impossible outside the chalet as it is located directly onto the beach via a short pathway by the side of Gurnard sailing club, plenty of parking only 3-2-3 minutes walking time away.

Beautifully built, light and airy property with stunning views across the Solent. An ideal base to discover the isle of Wight and relax by the sea side. Bi-fold doors open up onto the terrace/decking which over looks the private beach. This stunning chalet is available for regattas throughout the season, perfect for holiday rentals, cycling and walking festivals.

A few Parking spaces close by to the chalet or minutes walk from the top road where there are always plenty of spaces.

My name is Andrea i live in the picturesque town of Gurnard, the ad-joining town to Cowes, home of sailing.

I have been renting friends and neighbours properties locally for over 10 years.

I am actively involved in the local sailing scene and volunteer as a crew member of Cowes RNLI.

Why Andrea Vaughan chose Isle of Wight

Gurnard Beach is a quaint traditional, pebble and shingle beach, just a stone's throw south east of the town of Cowes on the north east coast of the Isle of Wight, with great views across the Solent, and some of the best sunsets you are likely to find!

Here too sits Gurnard Sailing Club where you can become a visiting member for the summer months. Sailing and watersports are popular pastimes at this beach.

What makes this chalet unique

Gurnard is bordered by attractive municipally owned beach huts,traditionally painted green .Behind the beach huts is a large sloped green with children's playground area.

At the eastern end of the seafront is a popular cafe and restaurant, with a window ice cream service to those using the beach.

The Ultimate Beach Hut

This property has a real wow factor. Sliding back that full width bi-fold door at the front reveals a clean, modern and comfortable living space / diner / kitchen. But the real show stopper is that view. At any time of day its great to watch the activity on the Solent, from the sailing boats whizzing by to the Superliners leaving Southampton. But the real drama comes at sunset when with a glass of wine in hand you can watch that orange orb slip serenely below the horizon. Trust me - its amazing,

Beachcombers is in the village of Gurnard which is a laid back kind of place with a beach café, pub and a sailing club. Its not one for the ravers out there - but if you like chilling out by the beach interspersed with watersports then this is a place for you, If you fancy a bit of a stroll, Cowes is a manageable 20 minutes away. The age range in our group was 10 to 70 and everybody took away happy memories and agreed that they would love to return.

Lovely accomadation in a great location.

Bright, modern, clean and well equipped accomadation in a great location. Walks from the doorstep, easy walk into Cowes. Fantastic sunsets and good food in the Watersedge cafe.

Communication and booking with Andrea was professional and friendly. Lots to do on the Isle, looking forward to a return visit!

Changeover Day:
Fridays change over days works very well so you can stay a full weekend arriving in the afternoon from 15:00
Departure time needs to be prompt at 10:00 am as the house keeper/cleaner will arrive !!
we can be flexible but not in peak season.

Notes on prices:
We require an initial deposit to secure the booking of 25%
8 weeks prior to your holiday the full amount is due.
£300 security/damages deposit is a returnable bond which will be sent back to you at the end of your stay, unless in the unlikely event there is some damage.

Notes on accommodation: This property is minimalistic to make the most of the space , beds are very comfortable as all good quality mattresses, plenty of wardrobe room and hanging space in the double bedrooms. Outside: There is a terraced decking which leads from the bi-fold doors, there is also a rear garden which is private. Steps lead up to the chalet. Parking is free just a few minutes walk, plenty of spaces all day free parking by the Woodvale hotel plus a few spots leading down to the waterside cafe next to Gurnard sailing club. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels provided, please bring your own beach towels. for a 2 week stay you will need to order extra cleaning and linen if required and pay the house keeper directly, please order at time of booking. The chalet is clean and ready for your stay, the property must be left in a tidy state with rubbish disposed of accordingly.
