Penlowen on facebook

Penlowen (run by myself, a marine biologist and my musician husband) provides affordable eco-friendly holiday accommodation for people who wish to enjoy Cornwall's coastline and gorgeous oldy-worldy village of Polperro. The boutique style living accommodation is light airy with quality bed linen, fresh flowers and a locally sourced cream tea on arrival. As we are at the top of the hill, we have wonderful views of the coastline. The accomodation is upside down with the living room, master bedroom and kitchen on the first floor. Through the large patio door in the upstairs living room you can enjoy watching the changes and moods of the water all day long. Penlowen is easily accessible by car with space in our gated courtyard for two cars. This is a rarity in Polperro as many holiday cottages in the village can only offer parking in the car park and not immediately outside the property. The lounge has a bookshelf well stocked with books and things to do and there is a wall hanging wood burner for that extra cosy feel. The TV has SKY and connects to a DVD. WiFi is also available. The accommodation has the advantage of an upstairs loo as well as a downstairs shower room. There is access to a large garden with a dining area and an adventure playground for the under 10s. If you wish, it is just 5 mins walk to the cliff path where you can sit on the bench to enjoy the view before walking down into Polperro or Talland.

Why not indulge in the culinary treats of coastal restaurants such as The View at Whitsand Bay, Fifteen at Watergate Bay or Rick Stein's seafood restaurant in Padstow? We value hospitality and personal touches are important to us. Why not order a selection of local organic produce to be delivered before you arrive? If you fancy indulging yourself, why not book an aromatherapy massage or a facial in advance? We can also offer guided rocky shore activities as well as access to the music room.
