About Jenny Deeley

Welcome to our property page! After years of traveling, we (Jenny and John) took early retirement and decided to spend time in Calpe. With its almost year round sunshine and healthy lifestyle it is the place we feel the most relaxed in. We purchased 'La Gaviota' villa in 2004 and after a recent refurbishment are renting the garden level apartment for the first time this year. Although we will be on hand to answer any of your questions we will always be respectful of your privacy but if you wish to share a glass of wine or beer with us we will very happily do so.

Jenny Deeley purchased this apartment in 2004

Why Jenny Deeley chose Altea Area

South facing, fantastic sea views, a climate that provides over 290 sunny days a year. Private, secure and quiet but close to the beach, shops and over 200 restaurants and bars. Huge pool terrace and mature Mediterranean garden. Air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, UK TV channels.

What makes this apartment unique

Owners on hand to fix any problems, answer any questions, provide advice and guidance on what to see and do in the area - lots of invaluable local knowledge and contacts. Owners happy show guests how to make a Valencian Paella or Fidua.

Living the dream in Calpe !

  • 5 of 5

This stunning 2 bedroom apartment is a must place to stay if you want your own private pool and stunning far reaching sea views. We felt like we had the whole villa to ourselves due to it's generous size inside and out.

John and Jenny were really great hosts to us from start to finish. They obviously take huge pride and pleasure in their property. You will want for nothing staying here as it has every item of equipment you could ever possibly need.

We will most definetly be returning again. Thank you once again John and Jenny for making our family holiday truly special.

Much love Nick, Jenny, Eleanor & Francesca.

Everything we wanted and more

  • 5 of 5

Brilliant directions from Jenny prior to our arrival meant that we went straight to the property without any drama.

The property was on the side of the hill overlooking Calpe and what a view, we never got tired of looking out over the bay. A car is pretty essential if you are staying here as its a good 30 minute walk downhill to the town.

Fully equipped is a bit of an understatement, there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't provided wether it was extra plug converters to mossie plugs from orange juicer to coffee pot. A welcome pack of groceries to tide us over was a lovely unexpected touch.

The beds were really comfortable and the linen and towels were of a good quality with extra pillows and blankets avaliable. The air con and fans were a really valuable asset as it was really warm at night.

The Villa is south facing so we had the sun all day which kept the pool at a lovely 28' - 30' and the pool was cleaned every day.

A great big thanks to Jenny & John for a lovely evening and brilliant Paella from John.

Special thanks to Jenny for running around for us prior to our arrival, 'all part of the service' she said but we were extremely grateful as it was above and beyond . We will certainly be returning

Great villa and pool in a nice location.

  • 5 of 5

The villa was extremely well equipped and very clean. The pool and pool area were among the best we have experienced. The location is excellent for visiting all the nearby towns and villages. Plenty of shops and supermarkets in Calpe. The beach and promenade were very nice. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area to satisfy all tastes.

John and Jenny who owned the villa were lovely people and extremely helpful with advice and local knowledge. They were very gracious hosts. We were treated to a homemade paella by John and Jenny and enjoyed a really nice night with them.

We would definitely recommend this villa. Hope the opportunity arises to visit again.

Fantastic family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic family holiday in this brilliantly equipped apartment! It is very difficult to think of anything it didn't have....! Jenny and John are just charming, lovely people who are always on hand if you need them. It's a lovely quiet location yet still only a stones throw from the town by car...we are definitely coming back!

Our first Spanish holiday.

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous villa ,spotlessly clean with all the comforts of home. A large pool and spectacular views complete the picture. Our hosts were discreet and ensured our privacy at all times, but we're always available to help with our frequent questions. John and Jenny provided lots of information about the area, best places to eat and the best areas to visit. John cooked us a true regional paella ,and as I am a vegaterian ,Jenny made an amazing vegaterian paella for me. What a fabulous night that was, with much discussion and really getting to know each other. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, what a great experience we had for our first time in Spain.

Five star, will come again!

  • 5 of 5

The property is extremely spacious, clean and well-equipped. It is set in extensive and well established gardens which were a delight to wander round, and the pool is a real asset (if a little chilly in February!). As it is on the hill to the north of central Calpe, you wake up to wonderful views of Calpe and the Penon when you draw the curtains in the morning. The wood burner in the lounge is a real asset over the winter months, it is both cheery and very effective, and John appeared to have an inexhaustible supply of lumber to fuel it.

So much for the property. However, in addition, we would like to pass on our thanks to Jennie and John as excellent hosts, who joined in on the night we had friends round, provided a very convivial evening when John cooked Valenciano paella, and were helpful and responsive to our minor queries. Having been users of holiday rental properties for years, we can confirm that our stay way exceeded our expectations. Andrew & Christina.
