About the Owner

We are an Anglo-German professional couple, now retired, and have owned this second home for over 15 years. Even before buying the house, we spent many family holidays with friends in the village and have, over time, established many other friendships in the area. We have developed the house from a 3 roomed cottage to a comfortable family-sized home. We have always used local French artisans and very trustworthy local people to help us run and maintain the house. Everyone who has ever visited us has been pleasantly surprised with, not only the house, but its surroundings.

We had a really nice week in the Autum.

The weather was still nice.

We had a great time. The house is lovely and really well equipted. The children enjoyed themselves a lot in the special play room.

There are a lot of nice villages to visit, and the forrest behind the house, is lovely to walk. The dogs lovend it.

In the house we enjoyed the fire place and the godin wood burner as well.

We had a great time and highly recommend this house.

Excellent accommodation and facilities

Excellent accommodation and facilities. Yes I would recommend the property to friends with a similar requirement. Very relaxing agricultural and forest area. We particularly liked visiting the Museum and battlefield of Crecy.

A wonderful gite in peaceful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

This gite is exactly as shown in the photos, atmospheric, so traditionally French and simply the perfect place to spend a peaceful holiday in the rural countryside. It is set in a small hamlet, less than five minutes drive to the nearest supermarket and village.

The house is beautifully and rustically furnished with everything you could possibly need to make your stay a comfortable one. We especially loved having evening barbeques in the old bread oven at the rear of the house, sitting in the dining room with the French doors open onto the garden and forest beyond.

The gite is around an hours drive to the Great war battlefields, the primary reason for our stay being the centenary commemorations, but also a short drive to the stunning bay of the Somme and quaint seaside towns such as St Valery and Le Crotoy.

A perfect gite for a relaxing or busy sightseeing holiday alike !

Stunning 'Home from Home' in beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous fortnight at this beautiful property, set in a beautiful, tranquil location.

The house is spacious, beautifully maintained & equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable - all the conveniences of home.

The garden is large and made a perfect cricket pitch and badminton court to entertain our three children. Our Labrador had plenty of space to run.

The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended to all who are seeking a peaceful get away.
