1 The Cross is located in Mineheads "old town" of North hill, the cottage is located just in front of the historic St Michaels church and Church steps in an elevated position to enjoy the views. A great base to explore the awesome surroundings of Exmoor or a peaceful relaxing holiday surrounded by beautiful countryside a walkers paradise.

The Cottage is within walking distance of the beach and town centre.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms 1 with en-suite shower room, and sleeps 4 people. Main bedroom with double bed, fitted wardrobe and en-suite and feature fireplace.

Bedroom 2 has twin single beds and fitted wardrobe.

Open plan sitting/dining room with smart TV, WIFI, comfortable seating area, dining room with seating for 4 people, books and games.

Hand crafted fitted kitchen with intergrated fridge with freezer compartment, cooker, ceramic hob, belfast sink, microwave and oak worktops.

Downstairs bathroom with bath/shower mixer tap, WC, Sink.

At the rear of the property is an enclosed patio with outdoor seating for 4 and cottage garden.

Hi my name is Verity and my husband is called Lee we have two children Josh aged 14, Kezia aged 12 and Macy the dog.

Lee has lived in Minehead all his life and I was brought up on Exmoor with my family who ran a successful Holiday Cottage business with 4 holiday cottages.

When we found 1 The Cross we knew instantly with a bit of love it would make the perfect holiday cottage for people to enjoy all year round.

We have made every effort to make the cottage the perfect base for your stay and we hope you love it as much as we do.

We know that when you go on holiday you don't want to be taking the essentials with you! so provided for your stay are all the boring basic essentials that you will need for your stay so you can get on with having fun! x

We live just down the road and think its such a beautiful part of Minehead to live, we enjoy taking our dog Macy for long walks around North Hill.

What makes this cottage unique

It's such a peaceful setting its perfect for a relaxing holiday and being located in the "old town" of minehead it is steeped in history with the historic St Michaels church and Church steps being on the cottages doorstep it really makes you stop and think what it would of been like many hundred of years ago.

This property from walking in felt like home from home. Such a beautiful inside and out in the gard.

Fantastic Customer service started from the time I inquired about this property. Verity replied to my every email I sent asking different questions.

Was a pleasure to meet verity who took time out of her day to call on us and explain everything we needed to know.

We as a family haven't stayed at a rented property before. We certainly weren't disappointed & would fully recommend this gorgeous cottage and place to stay. 😊😊😊🐶

Gorgeous cottage, gorgeous location.

We have stayed in this cottage before and it was so lovely we decided to go back this year. The cottage has everything you need and is pristine and very comfortable, warm and cosy. Verity has skimped on nothing, and she's a really lovely lady too. We had a lovely time yet again and hope to go back again.Such a lovely place to stay (especially when the sun shines!). Can't praise her and her cottage highly enough. Thank you Verity.

Delightful cottage

1 The Cross is a beautifully renovated cottage in a pretty and up market area of Minehead. It is delightfully shabby chic, with two bedrooms, one en suite with the plus point of a downstairs bathroom.

An enclosed garden with panoramic views would provide a lovely al fresco dining area in summer, we even risked a coffee outside in February. The beach in Winter is dog friendly but in any case the wonderful Exmoor is on the door step, with all its scenery and fine Country Inns.

All in all a virtually perfect holiday cottage.

Congratulations to Verity and her family for providing such a high quality

accommodation.

We live just down the road and think its such a beautiful part of Minehead to live, we enjoy taking our dog Macy for long walks around North Hill.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

A short 5-10 min walk or 2 min drive to the beach and harbour with enjoyable views on the way.

Distances:

Within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, takeaways, shops, Banks, bus stations , taxis, a short drive to major supermarkets.

Further Details:

Dunster, A short drive, Dunster is a mediaeval village with Dunster castle situated in the middle of the village is a must see. Lovely restaurants and

quirky shops, Humming bird is my favourite shop and is worth a visit.

Butlins, a must if you have children!

Tropiquaria, nr Washford a 10 min drive is fab for young children.

Blenheim gardens café, go and see sue and relax in the mature gardens.

West Somerset railway a heritage railway is a great day out, located on the seafront.

The cottage is located within easy distance for you to explore the amazing woodland of north hill ( you just need to step out the front door!) relax on the beach or discover Exmoor a short drive away.

Lynton & Lynmouth is a 30 min drive along the beautiful coastline, the cliff railway is not to be missed.

Outside: From the kitchen a door leads to a secluded enclosed patio with outdoor table and chairs with views looking out to Grabbist. From the patio there is a flat lawn boarded by shrubs and plants. Utility Room: Utility area with washing machine, iron, ironing board, laundry basket, pegs a washing line is located in the garden. An outside tap is located by the back door for washing muddy boots and dogs! Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All hand/bath towels and bed linen provided. Property cleaned and fresh linen provided weekly.
