Wonderful! Peace, beauty and style.

Hard to fault. A beautiful old farm house. Modern where you want it to be (kitchens and bathrooms) traditional where it should be (lovely french armoires and beds). Endless corn and sunflower fields, Hollywood pool area, friendly hosts. We'll be back for longer and with more people (big house)! Struggling to find a negative of any kind... clean, well laid out and all the other stuff it was supposed to be. You definitely need a car though.

A perfect place to relax and unwind

  • 5 of 5

It is really hard to find anything negative to say about this property, it is beautiful. We stayed for 10 days, 12 of us in total, 7 adults and 5 children aged between 9 and 13. It is a very spacious place, plenty of room in each bedroom and the convenience of ensuite in most of them. The large, well equipped kitchen made meal times easy and we also used the bbq most days too. We did find the oven took a little getting used to and the flies are a pain but that really is the only negative. The pool is fantastic , not heated but that was not a problem, and there are plenty of loungers around to relax on. Both adults and children loved the pool and spent most of the day there. We did intend on doing more sightseeing but to be honest we all loved the farm house and what it had to offer so much we actually did not go out much ! All the adults that went were in much need of a restful break, and that is what we got here. It is very peaceful and tranquil ! A car is a must and the surrounding areas offer fantastic cycling opportunities. The owners of the property were very helpful before our stay , as we did have a few questions. They were always prompt to reply and were contactable by phone. We were met by a Man named Andrew when we arrived who showed us around and he lived locally if there were any problems, as well as cleaning the pool. We would love to return and would have no hesitation in recommending this property ! 👍

Beautiful getaway in France

  • 5 of 5

If your looking for a getaway that offers you peace ,tranquility and the chance to basque in the glorious sunshine by the pool then this is the place for you . It's a beautiful house that's been modernised perfectly . It's clean and the space was amazing for us . We were two families with young children 3/4/5/6 . There are plenty of games ,DVDs and little hideaways to read that novel you've been trying to finish . Lots of fun times at the dinner table !!

We had very mixed weather sun and rain but we took advantage of going to the caves In Villars and Aubeterre for shopping and lunch .

You definitely need a car . Highly recommend x

Stunning, charming and photos cannot do it justice

  • 5 of 5

We had a short break at the large farmhouse back in June and it was without doubt one of the finest properties we have stayed in on our many travels.

Although an old quaint building, the mix of modern and antique restoration along with quality facilities make it a luxurious treat, in surroundings that have to be seen to be believed.

The bedrooms are large ensuites, one of which includes a free standing bath in the window where we took it in turns to bathe under the stars.

The kitchen is massive with a wonderful entertaining area including a huge dining table, ideal for evening meals and drinks for as many people as you can sleep, and the exceptional facilities inside the kitchen such as a huge American style fridge freezer and fully fitted kitchen that would not be out of place in your own home. You can see that no expense has been spared renovating this old farmhouse and we just loved it.

The grounds are breathtaking with views that photographs cannot do justice.

The pool area was our base for the stay, it was very hot and the pool was beautifully cool with a BBQ on the side of it which we were encouraged to use.

We played petanque every night, the kids enjoyed the handmade swings on one of the outer barns, and we found a lively local village nearby called Verteillac that was a short but very pleasant and very scenic drive from the farmhouse, and we ate at a place called "Le Calice" where you really can experience the French cafe / restaurant culture.

We didn't have time to travel too much nearby but wish we had as it's supposed to be breathtaking.

Yes we would go back in an instant and the lovely English owners for whom this house is clearly their pride and joy were so accommodating.

If I win the lottery I'm going to make them an offer they cannot refuse - In the meantime just book it and see for yourselves

Family Idyll

We had such a great holiday. This very stylish, spacious holiday home was perfect for our family and friends. The house has all the amenities you expect, plus a great pool area and very importantly, a boules area!! We will be back.
