Quiet, relaxing and fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely few days at Rivendale. It was just a 5-10 minute walk to the town centre where the steam train is located. There's a co op and Lidl there too.

The cottage was clean and tidy and we loved it. We will definitely go back.

Charming cottage a short walk from the town and accessible to everywhere!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our relaxing stay and enjoyed being so close to the centre of Pickering for bakers, burgers and restaurants.

Easy drive to all parts of the North York Moors and a walk to the steam train. Lots to do and plenty of beaches too.

Would definitely go back and stay, if only to enjoy the huge bath!!!

Rivendell Cottage is a lovely place to stay. Perfect for families and couples alike...a real find!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided to stay in Pickering as we have just acquired a new puppy and didn't want to travel too far away from home. Rivendell Cottage was absolutely perfect for us. Spotlessly clean and so well equipped - we wanted for nothing. The garden was safe for Dexter (our puppy) and when our 8 year old granddaughter joined us it was safe for her too. The owners left a book full of useful information which we used every day. Rivendell is perfectly situated to explore the astonishingly beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and surrounding area with lots of shops/cafes/places of interest within walking distance.

I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. 'Ten out of ten' Rivendell - we will be back!

Very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Rivendell. The cottage was spotlessy clean and superbly equipped. Great walking in the moors and on the coast and would highly recommend the Willowgate Bistro in Pickering for eating out. The Sun Inn just up the road from the cottage is a lively local pub.

Charming character property

  • 5 of 5

We had lovely stay in this property. We found it delightfully furnished and spacious enough for our needs. We would have been happy to stay longer had it been possible. Pickering itself is a pleasant place and well-positioned for many places of interest. We visited Thirsk Birds of Prey centre, Yorkshire Lavender, Grosmont, Goathland, Whitby and Scarborough. There is much to see and do in the Yorkshire Moors and would definitely recommended this property as an excellent base for all.
