I'm sure we will return to Rivendell. The owners have obviously done their best to make it as comfortable as possible. We had everything we needed and felt welcome.

Cosy cottage in good location

  • 4 of 5

Stayed for 3 nights in October half term. Cottage was clean and cosy, heating could be adjusted and neighbours very friendly. Basics were provided although compared to other places I have stayed kitchen cupboards were bare.

Lovely, cosy cottage. Perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

An absolute treasure of a cottage. Well appointed, a super comfy bed and lovely bath and shower.

Pickering is well located for the moors and villages of North Yorkshire. There is also the added attraction of the steam train to Whitby.

Cottage very clean and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely restful time at this well appointed and well maintained cottage. Unless it was hidden my wife could not find a hair dryer? My only other comment is that as the stairs are quite steep it would be a good idea to have a second rope attachment on the other wall to enable people to use both hands when climbing and descending the stairs. It is in a very good location especially as the Sun public house is only 300 yards from the front door, which is a proper friendly real ale pub.

Great holiday and we will certainly go back again.
