About the Owner

I live with my husband Jeff on a smallholding just outside the village. We bought the apartment in 2014 and completely refurbished it to our own taste and specification with a view to one day it being our retirement home.

This is one of the best properties that we have stayed in - everything is just so perfect!

It all starts very well with the owner, Julia, sending E-mails to confirm arrangements and the code to the key safe. The property is very easy to find, right opposite the Drax Arms with more than ample on street parking. No need to worry about being on the so-called main road as the village has been by-passed for some time and there is not much traffic (that is anyway slow due to the numerous speed bumps).

The property itself is excellent - very modern with everything there that you need - including a lovely fully equipped kitchen, wetroom (shower and WC), a homely lounge and two comfortable bedrooms. What was really nice was the gift of some of the best eggs that you are likely to eat and so many other "extras".

We only had a short break and do not live so far away - so we will return.

Top Tip: The Drax Arms is well worth a visit for an evening meal (the Sunday lunch carvery is also highly recommended).

Just Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

We had an overnight stay at the Bere Regis Apartment in Oct 2016 and had a very lovely experience. The apartment is around 20 mins drive from the beautiful Durdle Door/Lulworth Cove where we had spent the morning.

The apartment was right by the road and has a local store and pub right opposite on the other side of the road which was very convenient. The house was spacious and elegantly decorated. The house owner had arranged two double beds in each of the two rooms just as we had requested.

She had also left the basic essentials in the kitchen for us to make tea/coffee along with some eggs from her farm which was very find of her. The wifi in the house was of very good speed.

Overall I am very impressed with our experience regarding this apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay around this area.

Lovely & Cozy

  • 5 of 5

We spent a lovely couple of nights in this cozy apartment. It had everything we needed and was very accessible for my 93 year old father. Our hostess, Julia, was marvellous, especially given that we had only booked days before we arrived! Tea and coffee making supplies were provided, along with fresh eggs from Julia's chickens which made wonderful scrambled eggs for breakfast (yum!). The general store across the road was amply stocked and, of course, the bonus was The Drax pub also just across the road. Meals there were lovely (can highly recommend the Venison in cranberry and red wine gravy!). Our only regret was that we didn't have longer in this great little part of the world. If you are looking for things to do, try Tank World. Went there because we thought Dad would like it, but ended up all of us enjoyed it - so much more to it than just tanks, and please allow more than a couple of hours. Of course it goes without saying that a visit to Durdle Door is a must!
