House in Vera Playa, Vera, Almeria Andalucia, Spain - Popular Beach Location That Is Walking Distance From Local Bars, Restaurants, Shops And Aqua Park

Offering a meet and greet service at the start of your holiday to make your stay feel that little bit more secure and contact details in case of emergencies or concerns will also be supplied. Once you arrive at the holiday home there will be a complementary welcome pack in the kitchen which will provide you will immdiate essentials like, tea, coffee, milk, bread etc so that you can begin to unwind after your journey from the airport and start to enjoy yourself from the moment you enter the property.

The house itself is a modern bright and spacious four bedroomed town house situated only 200 metres from the beach. Located on the popular secure urbanisation of Playa de Baria 1 in the province of Almeria. The house consists of a large lounge / diner off of which is a good size bedroom (bedroom 4), a shower room and fitted kitchen which leads out to a large back terrace and utility area. On the first floor there are a further three bedrooms (bedrooms 1 - 3) and a family bathroom. The master bedroom enjoys fantastic sea views. There is also a large roof top solarium with superb sea views for the sun worshipper which can be accessed from the first floor. The property also has a large basement which is lovely and cool on hot summer evenings. The house has plenty of outside space with a garden to the front and a large terrace to the rear complete with a utility area. There are also two parking areas which are designated as being private. The complex itself has two large shared pool areas; one is only a few metres from the beach consisting of three pools and the other is to the back of the house consisting of two pools. Both areas are fenced and have a lifeguard during the summer months. Throughout this urbanisation the mature gardens are well maintained. The entire urbanisation is securely enclosed giving residents extra security. The house is also within walking distance from the local beach and chiringuitos, bars, restaurants, an aqua park and shops including a large supermarket and is a short drive away from local towns / villages such as Garrucha, Villaricos, Vera and Mojacar. Also within driving distance there are many golf courses including; Cortijo Grande near Turre, Club Marina Golf in Mojacar, Desert Springs near Palomares and Valle De Este in Vera. Other local attractions include; The beautiful traditional old white town ‘Mojacar Pueblo’, The Bull ring in Vera, Boat trips from nearby fishing town of Garrucha, Scuba diving at Villaricos, Lively markets during the day in most local towns and villages and at night during the summer months, Local fiestas with live performances from bands and dancers, An open air cinema in Garrucha plus a vast array of restaurants and bars within all of the local towns and villages. A couple of hours drive away you will find Mini Hollywoods at Las Tabernas, Terramitica in Benidorm, the Alambra palace and Sierra Nevada in Granada and so much more.

I had always dreamt of living in Spain and this became my reality back in July 2000 when I moved in to this lovely spacious home with my family. A few years later my family moved back to the UK yet I remained in Spain until 2010 when the distance between us became too much. I now live in the UK on a permanent basis and visit my lovely house on holidays instead as do my family.

Why Ms Janine Macauley chose Mojacar area

I bought my house in this location as this area of Spain as is very beautiful and unspoilt. It is also very Spanish as there was not a lot of other cultural influences in this area either.

What makes this house unique

Whilst I lived there I especially enjoyed the environment as it is so beautiful. It is so close to the sea that you can hear it, especially in the evenings from the house which I find very relaxing. There is a natural Laguna not far from the house too which attracts all sorts of wild life all year round from exotic birds to reptiles. Each day I took great pleasure in taking my dogs for long walks along the beach. Plus, everything I needed was close by. I led a very healthy and relaxing lifestyle.

lovely clean great size property - a stones throw from the beach and large supermarket

We had a wonderful stay - the apartment was lovely and a great size for 2 families with kids - the outdoor area provided a great sheltered eating space and the BBQ meant that we could cook our own food easily - bringing costs down!

Both "neighbors" on each side were amazingly friendly and welcoming - even with our lack of spanish and their small amount of english - both sides giving us gifts of wine during our stay!

The area was great - the Consom supermarket was large and a few minutes walk away from the apartment.

The pools were clean and almost always empty apart from us - the whole complex was quiet and well kept and also a few minutes away from a gorgeous long beach...there were some lovley bars/ restaurants on the beach all v friendly and serving some lovely food..

The only "issue" we had was that it wasnt so clear until we arrived that part of this beach / area was naturist and unfortunatley the part of the beach close to our apartment - we did walk further down the beach away from them but the naturists seemed to like to walk into the "clothed" area at times....

We visited the water park which was great fun and not too crowded - again only a few minutes walk away from the apartment

Local buses were frequent and easy to get from the roundabout opposite the supermarket and we took trips to Garrucha and the beautiful Majocar Pueblo - luckily arriving on a festival day which made it extra special.

Would recommend both the apartment and the area for a visit - especially if you want to have a more "spanish" holiday - and not filled with tourists and high-rise hotels.

We didnt take a car and didnt feel it was a problem at all - excellent shuttle bus to and from the airport

Fantastic Family Home in a Superb Holiday Location

Fantastic house for an amazing holiday in beautiful Almeria. Great for two families travelling together. 3 swimming pools on the doorstep and a gorgeous beach just 2 minutes walk away. The kids loved it. Loads to do locally and some very beautiful surrounding towns. House is spotless, well equipped and very spacious. Owner is lovely providing a superb service and very flexible. Loved it. Thank you so much. Will definitely recommend and would love to go back again. x

My holiday on Vera Playa

I spent a wonderfully, relaxing few weeks at Vera Playa where there was plenty to keep me occupied.

The beaches are literally on the doorstep and the swimming pools even closer and well kept. Throughout August there is an evening market as well as nearby restaurants,chiringuitos,bars just a minutes walk from the house.

I also had several trips out as there is so much available. I took a boat trip from Garrucha,a nearby village which also boasts a funfair and lovely shops. I took a drive out to Mini-Hollywoods at Taberna where I spent an enjoyable day.

The house was homely and had everything I needed.

I would definitely visit again.

Excellent position - very close to sandy beach

Amenities close by - bars, restaurant, wi-fi and super market (not noisy!). Water Park close enough to walk to. Property very clean and homely, everything you need. Would book to return.

Algunos detalles muy mejorables

La casa y la urbanización en un buen sitio, cerca de la playa y bastante tranquila. Casa amplia como se describe pero con detalles muy mejorables. Se anuncia WIFI y no hay, la televisión no nos funcionó en 4 días hasta que fue el técnico y le puso un TDT y un amplificador de antena. Por otro lado el frigorífico, electrodoméstico fundamental en el mes de agosto, para tirarlo, las bandejas de la puerta para botellas se caía porque estaba pegado con fixo, aparte de apenas enfriar y tener todos los cajones del congelador rotos o bastante rajados.

El patio trasero con muchos maceteros pero sin ninguna planta viva, y algunos de ellos rotos, en vez de tirarlos se amontonan allí.

Otro detalle es que es una casa para 8 personas y luego el comedor con una mesa y 4 sillas, un poco descompensado...

Por lo demás bien, limpieza, toallas, sábanas, camas, etc

Changeover day will vary dependant on the previous tenants departure flights so this can be fairly flexible. It is always best to email me to find out these details as they are not consistent.

Notes on prices:
Prices are based on a given period so if holiday bookings overlap any months then the daily rate will apply. For example; Sunday 30th August 2015 to 5th September 2015 (7 nights) would be 2 days at £114.28 (£800 a week) and 5 days at £85.71 (£600 a week) totalling £657.13
