The apartment is fully furnished with up-to-date modern appliances and air-conditioning and finished to a high standard. This Penthouse apartment has the bonus of a large veranda where there is plenty of space to sunbathe and dine outside. A short walk will find you in the heart of the village with both traditional and modern bars, restaurants and tavernas.

I live in Wales with my partner. Six years ago we decided to branch outside of the UK and purchase a Holiday Home in Cyprus. Cyprus is where my partners family heritage is from and on our first visit there many years ago we both fell in love with the country and its way of life.

Why Shane Prosser chose Larnaca region

We decided in Oroklini because of its central location to the Airport, Larnaca town and many beaches. However, we got a lot more that just that. The town of Oroklini and its surrounding areas are picturesque and full of traditional Cypriot character whilst flirting with modern living. Its an ideal location for so many reasons and we are glad we chose to live here.

What makes this apartment unique

The unique selling point to us when purchasing the property was the veranda. With its area covering twice that of the apartment itself we knew we had to have it! We love spending long summer days from the morning right until the depths of night on the veranda. Watching the skyline change whilst cooking on the BBQ for friends and family is a delight. Then in the evening, turning on the outside lights and looking into the star filled sky with a drink just cannot be beaten. This makes the holiday, not having to worry where the sun is as its a south facing apartment you can always enjoy the Cyrus Sun.

Outside: This apartment benefits from its own private veranda which over looks the coastline and mountain range. This stunning veranda can be used to sunbath, BBQ, eat on and generally relax all at the same time due to its generous size. There are 2 sun beds to soak up the Cyprus sun, a bench with a table and two chairs to sit around in the morning whilst drinking that first cup of coffee, a patio table and chairs to enjoy your home cooked food on the veranda, a mobile parasol to protect you where ever you fancy sitting and a large BBQ for you to cook your own meze on. As the night draws in there are several fixed lights on the veranda walls to keep you out there for as long as you fancy. The size of the outdoor space is not to be under estimated with a huge 18m by 10m sun trap which flows into 4m by 2m shaded area which can easily fit tables and chairs. The complex also boasts a communal pool via a locked gate so only people on the complex can enter. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned prior to guests arrival and also on departure. Towels and bed linen are all supplied.

Wonderful Oroklini rental

We booked this property based on the reviews of previous bookers and from pictures of the property which show the excellent huge sun terrace where you could spend the whole holiday if you were not adventurous. However there is a pool in the complex which was always empty (although it was April and the water was naturally cold!). There are excellent places to eat which are just a short walk away and a 24 hour bakery and adjacent supermarket provide access to everything you need for a comfortable stay. The apartment is well equipped and easy to access from the motorway which takes you straight to the airport as well as to other places on the island. We were not disappointed with any aspect of the booking and are highly likely to return, if only to enjoy more time on the beach and visit once again the salt water lake bird reserve (both walking distance). Highly recommended.

Lovely terrace and spacious apartment, but cold in the evenings in March!

We enjoyed our stay in this penthouse apartment, although we did find the flat a little cold in the evenings, it being perhaps an unusually cold March. Our arrival was a little more difficult than it might have been because it was dark by the time we arrived and there was a car in our parking space, which made us think that the apartment was already occupied and we had been inadvertently double-booked. Then we found it hard to actually see the digits on the key safe as there was no light in the parking bay. Luckily we had our mobile phones with us and therefore a handy light, though it was still hard to see the tiny numbers on the padlock even with the torch app on.

The terrace was lovely, especially when the sun was shining, but we had two cloudy days when it was hard to get warm. The evenings were particularly cold and, although the air conditioning in the living area worked in reverse as a heater, the two units in the bedrooms didn't work efficiently and there was no heating at all in the bathroom so I was cold after showering and cold at night.

The hot water pressure in the little sink in the bathroom was unfortunately very poor indeed, though the water pump and the water heater (on the cloudy days) worked well in the actual shower.

Everything else about the apartment was very nice, but I wouldn't book the place again in March because of the cold. This is no one's fault, of course, but when I compared temperatures with the UK I realised that it was only one degree warmer in the morning in the Cyprus apartment than it was in a rainy and windswept town in Northern England!

On the sunny days we did have, we really enjoyed relaxing on the terrace but we did find the road noise surprisingly loud and constant, something which I hadn't read in any previous reviews.

Overall, however, the apartment was very nicely put together and furnished, with a very nice kitchen and dining area and a comfortable seating area and we would definitely consider coming back to the apartment in a sunnier month!

If we were to come again, it would be nice to be assured that a strange car definitely won't be in our parking place next time, because it stayed there for the whole week that we were there!

Beautiful Town & Fab Penthouse! Worth every Cent!

Fantastic property, The Veranda and patio are a huge wow factor. I've done a huge amount of travelling in some of the best accommodation and never had a balcony or terrace anything like this, really enjoyed having a bbq and drinks in the sunshine with my friends. Also very impressed by the little extra touches like the 'Share shelf' and a great amount of spare clean towels really made a big difference. What i also loved is the area, this is the second time i have visited so had chance to see the hundreds of Flamingos at the lakes and also walked to the top of the hills behind the penthouse and was totally blown away by the views!! Made for some amazing photos for facebook. Huge Thank you to the owners for helping to make it a super great holiday for us. Look forward to staying again next year. Richard

A spacious Apartment with great facilities

If you want an Apartment that has home from home facilities, this is the place for you.

The very spacious penthouse patio area with umbrellas and sun canopy, complete with sun-loungers, two tables and numerous chairs is an excellent place to chill out. It gets the sun all day and has good views of the surrounding countryside.

Oroklini is a pleasant village with numerous restaurants, shops and banks. The beach is a good fifteen minutes walk away, but it's an exquisite beach, sun-loungers with umbrellas are available and there are small bars and cafe's there too.

Just a short bus ride away is Lanaka, a great place to go for the day, and it's also a lively place in the evenings too.

Perfection a home away from home

What a perfect apartment in a beautiful location with everything you need.I don't really want to do a review as this apartment is so beautiful that you will just want to book it straight away it will get fully booked and I won't be able to go back. from the moment you open the door you are hit by the WOW factor. It is modern slick and spotlessly clean.All the furniture is brand new modern practical and comfortable. The lounge/ diner is a large area , light roomy and easily enough space for 6 persons.The kitchen area is well equipped with everything there you would have in your home, plenty of sofas for chilling on when it gets too hot outside.the bedrooms are also large with loads of wardrobe space . The apartment has aircon, excellent wifi , washing machine , there is nothing missing at all. To assist the less abled a lift takes you directly to the door of the apartment. The veranda is the winner for the apartment it is huge with loads of loungers, table chairs and gets the sun all day long, long lazy days lying in the sun on it are heaven. The pool is a very short walk away, usually you be the only people there, it is a welcome place for a dip out of the hot sun. The local village a short 15min walk away, I would recommend a car if you want to go further a field. The local village has great restaurants, shops, car hire ,cocktail bars and a brand new cafe Nero , which is a must visit. No need for adapters as all plugs are British style.

Ask me would you recommend this place I would say yes yes and yes again. If you are going to Cyprus want a perfect apartment based in a perfect location this is the one for you , you will not be disappointed
