About the Owner
I live less than 2 miles from Driftwood Cottage with my Husband and teenage Daughter. My husband is Cornish and was raised in Falmouth, I moved down with my family as a teenager. We moved away for our careers and work, but Cornwall draws you back and we have been back in Cornwall for the last 25 years or so.
As we are local we can advise on places to visit and recommend restaurants and walks.
Guestbook comments from the owner
When we decided to come to Falmouth on holiday we looked for a holiday cottage on the internet. It was totally bewildering - literally hundreds to choose from. But we're very glad that we plumped for Driftwood Cottage; it's a lovely place to stay & we've had a fabulous time. The extra touches, e.g. flowers, tea & biscuits on arrival & taking time to drop off the bike routes. All much appreciated. Thanks!
Loved the cottage. It is exactly as advertised with some positive & nice extras. Beautiful & quiet, all that's needed to be a home from home, & perfect location as nothing is very far away. Enjoyed our time here.
We loved the cottage, we loved the beaches. We even saw a seal! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Clean, tidy, comfortable, well equipped, warm, convenient. Nice facilities. Beautiful setting. Nice touches......flowers, tea and biscuits on arrival, milk. Tourist information.
A Nice, Quiet Nest
Our family with already grown up children enjoyed the stay at Driftwood Cottage. The cottage was clean and well equipped - the logic of the kitchenware of course a little bit different from our own Nordic one, but that's the reason to leave for abroad, isn't it? :)
(It can be a small adventure to try to find the right milk in a supermarket.....)
It was nice to get back to the cottage after a day's driving and seeing places in Cornwall. It was good to have the free wi-fi, first for planning our daily trips, secondly to read the news from home.
The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Because we were not seeking for any night-life, the place was perfect. It can be recommend to elder people and/or families with small or grown up children (about teenagers I am not so sure....).
Service was excellent and immediate, thanks a lot! It was easy to find the place, even driving left, which we are not so used to.
We enjoyed our stay very much!
A fantastic stay
This will have been our fourth stay over the last two years and we will keep coming. Julie is efficient with the bookings and accommodates our needs, with stair gates, beds etc . The cottage is central for everything we want to do and is spotless .....
We had amazing weather this year and we BBQ'd outside at the cottage patio ...... Because other families were in the communal garden area too, the children had friends to play with and it was very sociable. Lovely cottage. The grounds are also in great condition.
Excellent, clean and spacious cottage!
We were really impressed with the over all look, cleanliness, space, cooking utensils, rear garden, toys for kids to play with and pretty much everything the cottage had to offer. It was great value for money taking everything in to consideration. We would gladly stay here again and Recommend to our friends and family. Julie the owner was more than helpful always happy to offer advice and recommend places to visit. Thanks again Julie!
Lovely cottage in Falmouth
Driftwood Cottage was perfect for us as a family of 5 for a long weekend stay. The cottage had every home comfort and lovely attention to details( great to have soap and towels in the bathrooms ) Julie had also left out plenty of tea and coffee and some milk for the first day.
We often visit Falmouth and will definitely be booking another stay at Driftwood
Lovely quite cottage in beautiful surroundings
We spent a lovely week in Driftwood cottage. Perfect for our family of 5. Everything we needed was in the cottage and the site facilities were super.
The little touches like fresh flowers, milk and biscuits were greatly appreciated!
Julie the owner poped in on our first day to make sure everything was in order.
Lovely green area at the back cottage where the kids could play while we cooked on the bbq.
Would go back again in a heartbeat!
From the Owner
“When we holiday we stay in self Catering accommodation, therefore we knew what we were looking for in a Holiday let when we purchased Driftwood Cottage. As soon as we walked in to the Cottage we knew that we could holiday there, so hoped that our guests would be happy to holiday there too. Pendra Loweth is a tranquil location at any time of the year. Watch the squirrels at play during the day and listen to the owls hooting at night, and yet it is close enough to Falmouth, only a 5 minute drive from the town or the beaches. Falmouth has plenty to offer whether the sun is shining or the weather is inclement, including independent shops, numerous good restaurants, a bustling harbour, the Maritime Museum and Pendennis castle and easy access to the beautiful Coast path.”
