Sleeps 7 plus baby. 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and additional cloakroom. Gas central heating, parking for 1 car in the private courtyard at the rear of the property. In a prime location on the seafront, the flat is spacious and generously equipped. Children welcome. Pets occasionally allowed at our discretion. No smoking.

I live in Wiltshire with my husband, daughter, three grandchildren and three dogs.

We also own a large property in Normandy France which we hope to be letting out soon.

Why Christine Reilly chose Purbeck

We've been thinking about buying a property by the sea for a few years now, but hadn't really looked until now.

This was only the 2nd property we looked at and it was perfect, exactly what we had written in our wish list.

No hills to climb or steps down to the beach, everything is within walking distance and all on the level.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is located right on the seafront, you can hear the waves from inside with all the windows closed, the beach is 5 mins walk and the same for the High Street with lovely trinket shops, pubs and restaurants.

There are 2 fish and chips shops at one end of the Parade and smashing cafe at the other end that do wonderful breakfasts.

Next to the cafe is a Theatre and Cinema.

The town is very dog friendly and are welcome on the beach between September and May.

Notes on accommodation: The 3 bedrooms are located on the lower ground floor level where there is also a separate cloakroom. All the bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space and chests of drawers together with bedside cabinets and lamps. Access to the enclosed courtyard at the rear of the property with parking space for 1 car is also from the lower ground level. Utility Room: N/A Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Guests must provide their own bedlinen (duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases) and towels. Duvets and pillows are provided. Other: Modern well equipped kitchen on ground floor level. Family bathroom with separate power shower unit also on the ground floor. Cloakroom on lower ground floor.

Very relaxing in a well-appointed flat.

As my review title says, the flat was very well appointed with almost everything that you could want. "Almost everything"? Well, there weren't any toothmugs in the bathrooms! Can you see how hard it was to find anything to complain about?

Ah yes - one other thing (as Columbo would say); my car, a Vauxhall Omega, was too big to go in the allocated garage space behind the flat as the very narrow lane made turning into and navigating out of it impossible. Also, access to the lane itself was often blocked by tradesmen's vehicles and sundry other obstacles.

However, I parked in front of the flat, on the Parade itself, and only once did I have to move my car to another space nearby because the resident from the upstairs flat wanted to use her parking spot!

This was in February, but in full season, there may well be more competition for parking space, so com e with a smaller car than mine.....

To end on a more positive note, what could be better for easing the soul than to lounge about on a comfortable settee in a warm, centrally-heated living room and look out of the front window at Swanage bay? My blood pressure benefitted enormously.

Why would you ever want to stay anywhere else

Absolutely fantastic location !!. Right in the hub of Swanage just walk out the door and everything you need within a short walk, shops, great pubs, gigantic battered cod and chips like you've never eaten before just around the corner.

Holiday makers walk past the large bay window that looks out over Swanage bay in envy of the guests that of been lucky to have booked that week .

Fantastic apartment with views of the harbour

We enjoyed our stay here & wished we stayed longer, modern apartment with everything you need & more, fantastic views of East Dorset Coast, close to the shops, pubs, takeaways, restaurants, plenty to do in & around Swanage & would recommend Swanage railway . Will be booking again for another break.

Changeover Day:
Saturdays during the main holiday season between April and September, arrival after 4pm, departure by 11am. Outside the main holiday season we are flexible with short breaks available min of three nights.

Bedding is not provided so you must bring your own bed linen

Notes on prices:
Prices include all utilities (gas, electricity and water).

The deposit for your holiday is 1/3 of the total cost, due at the time of booking, then the balance with the £200 damage deposit will be due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, the damage deposit will be returned within two weeks from the end of your holiday.

I do not take cheques due to bank closures in our town, my bank detail for bank transfer will be found on the booking form.

100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
