Fantastic sea view down the El Portet valley.Just a short 10 minute walk takes you to El Portet village and its pretty beach which shelves gently and is sheltered and calm, ideal for families. Moraira,an unspoilt town with typical Spanish charm is a short walk along the beautiful coastal road offering lovely views as you pass the marina. Moraira has a more lively atmosphere with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.

We recently purchased this lovely property in this unspoilt area of Spain after spending many of the past 15 years holidaying here.

In the early years as a family and in more recent years as a couple.

We feel so lucky to have bought a holiday home in the much sought after area of El Portet and invite our guests to come and enjoy a memorable and relaxing holiday experience.

Why DAVID HARDING chose Moraira

We love El Portet which is a peaceful pretty resort on a particularly scenic stretch of the Costa Blanca.Our property is situated in the lower EL Portet valley with lovely views to the sea.

A short walk takes you to the beach with a nice collection of restaurants with sea views.A scenic bay shelters a perfect curve of fine golden sand backed by wooded hills.

The charming resort of Moraira is close by with it's Blue flag beaches.It still has its Spanish charm and the location and facilities are excellent.

The surrounding countryside is spectacular and the whole area is not over developed

The pretty,historic towns of Javea and Altea are a short drive

Well equipped villa in great location for a family/couples holiday

We've just returned from a 2 week stay at David & Julie's villa at El Portet, Moraira on the Costa Blanca.

We spent a long time deciding where to stay before we booked. We were holidaying with our two teenage daughters & so wanted somewhere quiet (for us) but not too far from the town of Moraira where there would be plenty to do for the family. Air conditioning (we went in July) a nice pool and well equipped accommodation were all important to us & this villa ticked all of the boxes.

Situated on a hillside, the villa has views both to the sea and of the semi-rural area surrounding it.

We really liked the two patio areas to the front and rear of the property so we could breakfast at the front in the morning & dinner at the back in the evening. Both in the shade

We had plenty of barbecues whilst we were there and we also found that other residents in neighbouring villas were really nice & friendly

The walk to Moraira takes just over half an hour & is pleasant but hilly & I wouldn't want to do it more than once in a day. Having said that, Moraira is easy for parking (all free) and had everything we needed

The beach at El Portet is a 15 minute walk & is a pleasant & safe bay. There are a couple of restaurants there plus a shop & pharmacy.

What struck us most about the development was how quiet it was, particularly as we were there in July.

David was extremely good to deal with. Communicative & efficient in handling any queries we had. We'll definitely return & wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa very highly. We have used OD several times and this is the best one so far.

Great 2 bed house with sea views, 3 sunny areas to sit in and a lovely clean pool.

The house was ideal for us (family of 4 with a 3yr and 6yr old) and the pool was lovely and clean.

We bbq'd most nights but also walked into Moraira twice. El Portet beach is very clean and perfect for kids. We drove down each day but it is only a 15min walk (up hill on the way back). Moraira has all you need lovely restaurants, good beach, play areas and a good market.

We will be back again!

Great little Villa. Perfect Position

Thanks to Dave and Julie we had a blissful 4 weeks at El Portet. Easy walk to El Portet Beach and pleasant stroll to Moraira for morning coffee. Easy driving access to other places of interest, Altea, Javea, Jalon and the Orba Valley. Very clean villa with every thing we required. Lovely afternoon sun on one balcony and cool shade at the back of the villa if preferred. A very good choice. Thanks.

When we first arrived thought its a long walk from the beach ,not a problem if you drive ,but after a few days it was not a problem ,great walk to Moraira .

Also a really good location to explore all the surrounding places ,the apartment did all we needed ,always difficult when you are not in your own home and missing all your own familiar things ,must remind ourselves that it is a holiday rental for all walks of life ,so on balance no reason to complain ,would not hesitate in going back,.

We only had one small problem which after we spoke to the agents it was sorted that same day ,thats very important for peace of mind ,would,nt hesitate in reccommending to friends.

Lovely property for a peaceful holiday

Ouir family of four have just returned from Dave's property. Other reviews have outlined the apartment very well so no need to add to that. All I can say is that if you are looking to find a peaceful getaway in a truly lovely part of Spain at a very affordable price then this apartment won't let you down. I would highly recomend it. El Portet is a wonderful small resort with a lovely beach and fab restaurants.

Holiday home in excellent location, near beach with beautiful sunny balconies.

Listing was very accurate. House was 15 min walk to beautiful beach and bar. We ate every meal out on the balcony or in the rear garden where you could enjoy sun or shade. The owners provided excellent customer service and I would recommend to friends. There was a shared pool with lovely landscaping and altough we stayed in July was empty most of the time. There were plenty of facilities in Moraira for shopping, eating out, entertainment and supermarkets.

Coast/Beach:

The beach at El Portet is just over a 10 minute walk down the hill. The Blue flag beaches at Moriara are about a 20 minute walk. Other beaches along the coast road to Calpe are a short drive away set in beautiful preservation areas.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Alicante,less than a 1 hour drive away.An alternative is Valencia which is about 20 minutes further. Car hire is recommended to explore the beautiful area but not essential. Once you reach El Portet you have all amenities within a 20 minute walk from the property.

Distances:

El Portet village is just over 10 minutes walk. The nearest town Moraira 2km along a pretty coastal road, a 15 minute walk.

Further Details:

There is a small supermarket in El Portet for essentials but for larger supermarkets you will need to travel to Moraira. There is also a Pharmacy in the village with English speaking staff. The restaurants overlook the lovely bay and are fabulous for lunch and early evening making the most of the sunshine and al fresco dining.They include the Michelin two star La Dauphine where you can dine on the terraces overlooking the sea.
