House (sleeps 4) and annexe (sleeps 2) in a lovely setting near Foz do Arelho

A beautifully restored traditional house in private gardens with heated pool. The house has a large sun terrace on the upper floor which is accessed from patio doors in the spacious master bedroom. The bedroom has a super king size bed and an en suite bathroom. The kitchen and twin bedroom have sliding doors leading out to the patio area between the house and the garden. The heated private pool is situated in the garden that leads to a pine forest, which is great for children to explore, play on the swings, or walks before dinner. There is a large, open covered area in the annexe with a built in barbecue and table tennis facilities. The annexe has another en suite bedroom with a king size bed. The large lounge in the main house is light and airy and has exposed beams, a wooden ceiling, feature staircase to the master bedroom with two sofas and satellite TV. The kitchen has a dining room table and chairs as well as all cooking and washing facilities required. The main bathroom is situated on the ground floor and has a shower and a bath. There is a traditional fireplace in the entrance hallway. There are also two mountain bikes for the fit and adventurous guests! All in all a great base to stay in and explore the silver coast.

Superb accommodation and location

We had a great 10 days in this super accommodation. It is a spacious property and well equipped which was ideal for a family holiday with 2 teenage boys.

The heated pool is ideal, clean, well maintained, which we used every day.

The house is in a lovely, quiet, relaxing setting with pine trees at the rear of the property and is an idea base for exploring the area. Good restaurants are not too far away especially in Foz (recommend Tavolá & Cais do Praia) with supermarkets(Leclerc), shopping & petrol in Caldas.

Gets very busy for parking on the beach front in Foz but a short drive takes you to the beaches of Peniche and Baleal where parking was easier. Lovely sandy beaches with lots of room for sunbathing and good waves for body boarding and surfing. Recommend the Special Surf 78 surf school at Peniche if you get that way.

Definitely would recommend this property for a very enjoyable holiday.

Ideal accommodation in Foz

Had a great girls weekend away at this spacious property. We were very impressed with the size of the rooms especially the master bedroom with balcony. The house felt like home from home, the kitchen was well equipped and we found the dish washer, washing machine and washing line, very handy . There was a play station and a double swing (handy if you go with children). We enjoyed our days relaxing round the pool, and playing table tennis, then off to Foz beach bars to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine. Had a great night out at the Vintage Club in Foz, and a nice day out in Obidos town. Local supermarkets are 10 mins away by car and cheap.

An enjoyable stay and we will definitely go back.

Love this place!

This is a lovely property with everything you'll need, it's spacious, comfortable, clean and well maintained. I have stayed at Casa Amarela twice, my first visit was with a Family group and my second was with a group of friends and suited both parties well.

We had a great time using all that this property has to offer, we especially loved the heated swimming pool and the table tennis tournaments we had. The house is in a lovely, quiet, relaxing setting with pine trees at the rear of the property. There is a welcome book with lots of information to help you get the most of out your break so it's worth taking a look.

Foz has some good cafés, bars and restaurants, the locals are very welcoming and it's not expensive. The boys in the group used the sail school in Foz and went kayaking on the lagoon.

We headed to one of the beach bars in Foz for drinks while watching the sunset - stunning! We also had a fun night out at the 'Foz Vintage Club' for late night drinks and dancing.

I would recommend visiting Foz and the area before it's gets touristy and expensive.

spacious and relaxing

This is a fantastic home from home accommodation, very spacious throughout with modern fixtures and fittings, could easily sleep more people than recommended and still be comfortable! The garden boasts a welcoming swimming pool, bbq and table tennis equipment which was fun!! The area surrounding is quiet and relaxing and if you have a car watching the sun go down along the Silver Coast is a must see and also where you will find friendly bars and restaurants!

Lovely Family Accomodation

I visited Portugal for the first time with my family ages ranging from 5 years to retirement age! The property had everything we could have wished for. Very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The photos reflect the Accomodation very well. The setting is bliss with a beautiful back drop of pine trees offering a lovely tranquil feel. The heated pool is a bonus, not that the weather was inclement in September, it was beautiful. A car is necessary but the amenities are near by, lovely bars and restaurants and we enjoyed some fabulous sunsets sitting in the bars near the beach. We all had fun and my little granddaughter learnt to swim in the pool, an added bonus. I definitely would recommend this property, everything was perfect. Thank you to the owners, a very enjoyable holiday.

nice family/group accommadation

Comfortable and relaxing with all amenities required , well located for local beaches and water sports and town shopping/petrol (13 mins) and central location for sightseeing on the silver coast, to come back to a relaxing swim and barbie. Good restaurants not too far away (car essential) local bar (5 mins walk) has wifi!

The property is on the edge of a quiet village. There is a cafe bar within 7 minutes walk. It is a 5 minute drive from the wonderful beaches of Foz do Arelho, where you will also find a bank, cafes, restaurants, food shops, newsagents, a butcher, a baker, etc.. 10 minutes to the north is the beautiful shell-shaped bay of Sao Martinho do Porto, with a plethora of shopping, cafes, restaurants a daily market and much more. Caldas da Rainha, a larger town with shopping centres, a cinema and much more is also a ten minute drive.

Foz do Arelho has an excellent sail school where you can learn to kite surf, windsurf, sail and kayak, all with English speaking instructors. Also available in the area is horse riding, fishing, tennis, beach volleyball and cycling. The Atlantic side of the beach has high rollers and is ideal for strong swimmers and surfers. For those looking for something altogether more gentle, the lagoon side has safe shallow waters and is a wonderful safe place for children.

Prices quoted are for the two bedroom house. If you require the use of the third bedroom with en suite in the annexe, there is an additional charge of 12% of the rental price.

On booking 25% of the cost is payable with the remainder payable 60 days before arrival. A security deposit of £170 is included and refunded after the stay subject to non-damage.

Pool heating is included during the summer season, but subject to £100 per week charge outside of these dates, if required.
