At the heart of the Peak District National Park Longstone Holiday Cottages offer peace and tranquillity in a beautiful setting. Our 3 cottages lie on the edge of Little Longstone close to Bakewell and Chatsworth. Sleeping 6/4/2 they can sleep up to 12 guests if booked together.. They are ideal for couples, friends getting together or family gatherings. Two recommended pubs serving excellent homemade food and local beers just 5 minutes walk away. Miles of varied walks from the door with the added bonus for walkers and cyclists of the traffic free Monsal Trail close by. Real fires real ales and a real welcome. Off road parking and free wifi available

Approached by its own driveway, the Lodge is a detached stone cottage with fantastic views towards Chatsworth and Bakewell. The Lodge is furnished in a contemporary style - comfy settees in the lounge, limed oak kitchen units and a round pine table. An impressive stone fireplace and logburner complete the picture. The reception areas have slate floors and all other rooms are carpeted.The cottage is well equipped with gas double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine plus all the day to day utensils you are likely to need. Off the hallway the ground floor bedrooms and shower room are a bonus for the less agile. Upstairs there are 2 twin bedded rooms with anther bathroom with shower over the bath. The south facing cottage garden has table and chairs, plant pots and natural stone paving. The garden is bordered by a stone wall and beech hedge - beyond this is a private parking area for 3 cars and a further lawned area.

Having been brought up in the lowlands of Suffolk we moved to the Peak District in 1987 making the most of an opportunity to bring up our family in this beautiful area. Looking for somewhere to live , we happened upon The Outrake, previously a children's home until its closure. We purchased the property with a colleague and embarked on conversion and refurbishment to create Chestnut House, Dove Cottage, Chatsworth Cottage and The Lodge

Very nice with stunning views over the Derbyshire Countryside

The cottage was well laid out and had all the facilities required for our stay The property was clean and the owners were very approachable and friendly, offering local knowledge about places to visit etc. The area is stunning and we had easy access to the local traffic routes into Bakewell and Buxton. We would definitely stay again if we were visiting Derbyshire again.
