About the Owner

I am a marketing consultant living in a village outside Canterbury and commuting for work part time into London. As a linguist also, I have traveled to most countries in Europe and lived abroad also. At first Malta was not top of my list to visit, but once I visited I fell in love with the island and was determined to spend more time there every year. That is why I bought my property in Sliema - a trendy, stylish location for living in Malta as well as holidaying. Similarly the minute I saw my apartment I fell in love with it. Modern, spacious and airy I may live in it full time one day!

Malta as an island is hugely underestimated, as the tremendous architecture and history are second to none. That is why Valletta, the capital, is a Worldwide Heritage Site of course too!

Sliema is in the heart of everything but is a residential area so quiet at night. It is however 10 minutes close to all the entertainments and night life of St Julians has to offer and the same from Tigne Point for shopping or eating in its numerous restaurants. For me it has everything for couples or a family of any age, and is so convenient for visiting everything else on the island.

Activity and Interests


3 minutes' walking distance to the sweeping sea of Balluta Bay and its beach for bathing and coastline rocks which are popular for sunbathing.


30 minutes from Luqa Airport. Buses are the best form of transport and leave very regularly from the seafront to all the sights - Historic Valletta, Mdina, Tigne Point, Sliema Ferries for Gozo. If guests wish to hire a car then garage rental is available in Depiro Point at Euros 8 per night. Tour buses are available from the seafront also.


Depiro Point is near to the entertainment area of St Julians by foot or by bus as well as being central for access to all sights that Malta has to offer.

Valletta, which is a World Heritage site, is only a 10 minute bus ride and Mdina (the Silent City) is 30 minutes away.

There are 2 large supermarkets in the vicinity, a DVD shop, patisserie and also greengrocers. Depiro Street also houses a beauty salon and hairdressers.

Cash point is situated opposite the bus stop on the seafront.

Check out Cara's coffee shop, the brilliant and reasonably priced Pizzeria Vecchia Napoli and other restaurants at the bottom of the hill overlooking the sea.

Please contact Bronia Mercieca for bookings. A deposit will be required to secure booking and will depend on the length of stay (5 nights minimum) and full payment will be required 15 days before arrival. A deposit of Euros 300 is retained for the duration of the stay against damages etc. but is refundable within 15 days of your departure date.

Notes on prices:
Prices are seasonal and higher in the summer months due to the tremendous demand in Sliema particularly. Should you wish to book for a longer stay, especially out of peak season, then please consult me for prices.

A 50% deposit should be made by bank transfer upon booking and then the remaining fee should be paid by transfer 15 days before arrival plus the deposit against damages of Euro 300.

This property has everything you need to live in it from cable TV to internet and washing machine. We have tried to think of everything you might need. It is also very convenient for supermarkets and greengrocers, DVD store, a wonderful Sicilian cake shop. At the bottom of the road by the sea, there is a Pizzeria, an excellent Chinese restaurant and Cara's coffee shop providing all day English breakfasts or Italian food, depending on what you fancy, in the open air by the sea.

Outside: The balcony overlooks the internal garden area of Depiro Point and has 4 chairs and a small table for seating. The flat is west facing and not overlooked by other apartments. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are included and changed weekly. We kindly request that towels are not taken out of the flat. The cleaning service is on a weekly basis also.
