Newly Converted Barn in Monxton, Andover (Nr. Stockbridge), Hampshire, England - On the doorstep to all that Hampshire, Wiltshire & Berkshire has to offer. The barn offers beautiful triple height oak framed space, with a detailed focus on design and interiors. There are multiple areas to relax, play and socialise. The bespoke dining room table has seating for 10, there is a children's play area, table football, piano, two separate soft seating areas for relaxing and watching the 55", surround sound TV with Sky TV. The owners live in the main house and are normally available, although the barn and the house do not impose on each other.

About the Owner

We are a young family with 3 small children. We moved down from London to Monxton in 2009 and started our family here. We have also spent the past 5 yrs fully renovated our thatched house, the garden and the finally barn (featured). My husband runs a commercial & investment property company in London. I work (part time) as a marketing and property consultant. Our lives our busy, we love our village life and we love to travel as much as possible!

Spacious open planned living space was perfect for little children.

We thoroughly enjoyed our mini break at the stables, and it gave us a fabulous base. The children benefited from having the freedom of the garden, and they were kept entertained with all the things to play with. It makes all the difference when you can't pack your own home into the car!

Thanks for making us feel welcome, and expect another visit if we holiday in the area again in the future.

Beautiful home and surroundings

The renovated barn is a well appointed home in a great location. It's within walking distance of two very good pubs, one of which is open for every meal. It has every gadget you would need to cook wonderful meals in the comfort of home as well. The wifi is great and surround sound is wonderful as well. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Gemma and Rich and welcomed with a great book of information about the house and the surrounding area as well as a nice bottle of wine. The beds are comfortable with luxurious bedding. The entire home is beautifully decorated. The piano, fooseball table, many toys and outdoor space including several walks right from the property give you ample things to do regardless of the duration of your stay. The barn has everything you need for a long or short stay and is large enough for both big and small families or even as a place for a get togethers of multiple families or friends. There is also a great office space in the loft part of the barn, large enough to accommodate several extra people or to do any type of work you would need to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it.

Set in the heart of Monxton, this new barn conversion combines rural ideal & striking contemporary design. The barn offers beautiful triple height oak framed space, with a detailed focus on design and interiors. There are multiple areas to relax, play and socialise. The bespoke dining room table has seating for 10, it has a huge entertaining space, a fully fitted kitchen, there is a children's play area, piano, table football and two separate soft seating areas for relaxing and watching the 55", surround sound TV with Sky TV. Accommodation includes 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom & 2 additional day beds (sleeping a total of 6 people). The barn overlooks a landscaped, walled garden and there is ample parking.

Explore the stunning cathedral cities of Winchester & Salisbury, as well as the renowned market towns of Marlborough, Hungerford - all are a 25 min drive away. Closer to home Andover & Stockbridge are a 10 min drive. Newbury and Basingstoke are 30mins away. Southampton & the south coast are 40mins away.

Monxton is a conservation area with a rich history. The houses are all thatched and centred around a river which is accessible via the village green. Multiple walks across the fields of Hampshire are on your door step in the village, with 2 good pubs with great food, wine and roaring fires + 2 riding schools. Additional activities include visits to Stonehenge, fly fishing in Stockbridge on the River Test, a day out at the Hawk Conservancy. Thruxton, a neighbouring village, is home to Thruxton Race Track offering track days, super bike racing, flying lessons and 4x4 experiences. The towns of Winchester, Salisbury, Marlborough and Hungerford are all c.20-30mins drive, Southampton is 40mins drive away. Andover Station offers quick access to London (Waterloo in 65mins).
