Lazy Days Lodge on the shores of Lake Windermere

Lazy Days is a huge lodge that has a full wall of glass doors and windows, and vaulted ceilings, making it bright and airy. The stream leading to the Lake is in front of the lodge, and the ducks swim up every day to be fed. The lounge/dining area and kitchen are all open plan.....very sociable! The kitchen has everything you need incl slow cooker, washing machine and dishwasher. The lodge has full central heating and double glazing and is lovely and warm even on the coldest Lake District days. The main bedroom has a king size bed, tv and en suite bathroom, the second bedroom has 2 single beds and drawers and wardrobes. The family bathroom has bath and shower and heated towel rail. This really is a superb, well located, very comfortable lodge, with plenty of outdoor space and in a position on the park that is only a 3 minute walk down to the Lake. You will not be disappointed!

About Kim

Myself and my partner Anthony live in Preston with our 2 yorkies Freddie and Barney, we still both work full time, so unfortunately don,t get to spend as much time at the lodges as we would like, we can,t wait to retire then we can spend more time in the Lakes.

Kim purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Kim chose Windermere

We had 3 fab holidays at White Cross Bay, before we took the plunge and bought Lazy Days Lodge. We looked at quite a few but as soon as we walked into Lazy Days we knew this was the one.....its so bright and airy with a full wall of glass, and the fact it had the stream in front of it and the ducks were swimming away in front of the decking , we just fell in love with it and bought it the same day.

2years later Happy Days came up for sale.......this was different it was a project! The lodge was in a bit of a state but we saw the potential......so over the closed season we gutted it, and did a complete refurb, and the result is stunning. Happy Days is now a bright contempary style lodge lodge, very comfortable and everyone that stays loves it.

What makes this cabin unique

Both lodges benefit from being very large, ideal for families or 2 couples. The decking areas on them both are some of the largest to be found on White Cross Bay, and we have quality outdoor furniture on them both.

It is only a 3 minute walk to the lake from either lodge and a similar time to walk to reception and the leisure facilities.

Whichever lodge you choose.....we guarantee you won,t be disappointed......some guests have stayed in both.....but can,t decide which they prefer!

The property, which everyone who has written in the visitors book confirms, is wonderful, a true home from home with some things better than we have at home! It is stylish, tastefully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect and the decking great for afternoon tea or an evening drink. The decking furniture is well above standard. We have been coming to this property for six years. We love it. The site has a swimming pool and a play area for children. It is in a perfect spot to visit all attractions in the Lake District.

Our Lake District home from home...

  • 5 of 5

As a family we visit the Lake District a number of times throughout the year,

and when we do,Kims lodges are our first point call for our holiday.

Having two young boys,White Cross Bay ticks all the Boxes, its perfectly placed for a holiday in the lakes, along with Brockhole visitors centre just a short stroll away which has loads to keep the boys entertained, white Cross boasts its own swimming pool, play area with football pitch and numerous activities to keep them busy.

Theres also loads of great family walks nearby, all which can be started from the park.We go for days without the car actually moving.

Kims lodges are fantastic, very modern, well presented and maintained, with everything you need provided, the holiday just wouldn't be the same if we didn't stay in either of lazy days or happy days.

Cant wait to return in May

Fantastic weekend at Happy Days Lodge

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful lodge! We were all very impressed with the décor and furnishings, no expense has been spared in every room. We were so comfortable, we wanted to stay longer, even the dog was very happy!

The lodge is in a great location, right in the middle of Windermere and Ambleside and the onsite facilities were a real bonus with the restaurant and swimming pool.

Kim the owner was fantastic and kept me up to date with everything. There was a problem with the door on the day we were going but she got this sorted straight away and even offered the other lodge if she couldn't have done this before our arrival.

I would highly recommend staying here and done so already to family and friends, we certainly hope to be going back again soon.

Lovely modern lodge

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at Lazy Days Lodge. The lodge was spotless and felt like a home away from home. It was in the perfect position to explore the Lakes and our girls 4 and 1 enjoyed the swimming pool at the holiday park. We will definitely return!

One small critism is that we asked for a cot for our daughter which was provided but it didn't have any sheets.

Owner's Response: Thanks Holly for taking the time to review your stay, and we certainly hope to welcome you back when you next wish to visit the Lakes. We do mention in our paperwork that although we supply a travel cot and high chair free of charge.......we don,t supply cot bedding, as we feel the little ones settle better in their own bedding.

Home away from Home! Excellent spot!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I, along with our Jack Russell; Missy have just returned from our 5 day trip in the Lake District where we relaxed in “Home from home” style at Lazy Days Lodge!

WOW what a fantastic base for exploring the lakes & all they have to offer! Great location & cozy & comfy accomadation, which due to the extremely wet weather we made complete use of!

We could not of asked for a cleaner, well equipped & peacful place to stay!!

It completely lived up to our expectations & we would highly recommended it to friends & family & we would most definitely go back again!

Kim has taken great care & attention to detail to give her guests a great experience & spot to completely relax & unwind!

If you are thinking of visiting the Lake District then please bear Lazy Days Lodge in mind!!
