Happy Days Lodge Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)

Happy Days Lodge has been completely refurbished and is now bright, modern and extremely comfortable. 2 bedrooms, master bedroom with TV and en suite plus a twin bedroom and family bathroom.centrally heated and double glazed. Large lounge (42" tv)with dining area with french doors leading onto a huge decking area that gets the sun all day, top quality outdoor furniture for your comfort. Fully fitted kitchen,with every appliance you need incl dishwasher. Happy Days is in a great position on the Park close to reception and all the leisure facilities, swimming pool, gym, sauna etc which are all free to guests staying at the lodge, yet we are only a 2 minute walk from the Lake.

White Cross Bay Park and Marina is in an ideal spot for couples and families wanting to explore this fabulous area, with Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside and many major attractions close by. This lodge will not disappoint, it has everything you need and more for your perfect break in the The Lake District.

Both of our lodges are large luxurious, contemporary style lodges, beautifully furnished, very well equipped and with top quality bedding and towels.Each lodge has a huge decking area on 3 sides and private parking for 2 cars. Both lodges are about a 3 minute walk down to the marina and the shores of Lake Windermere. Happy Days is our Pet friendly lodge, with gates fitted to keep your doggy safe.

About Kim

Myself and my partner Anthony live in Preston with our 2 yorkies Freddie and Barney, we still both work full time, so unfortunately don,t get to spend as much time at the lodges as we would like, we can,t wait to retire then we can spend more time in the Lakes.

Kim purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Kim chose Windermere & Central Lakes

We had 3 fab holidays at White Cross Bay, before we took the plunge and bought Lazy Days Lodge. We looked at quite a few but as soon as we walked into Lazy Days we knew this was the one.....its so bright and airy with a full wall of glass, and the fact it had the stream in front of it and the ducks were swimming away in front of the decking , we just fell in love with it and bought it the same day.

2years later Happy Days came up for sale.......this was different it was a project! The lodge was in a bit of a state but we saw the potential......so over the closed season we gutted it, and did a complete refurb, and the result is stunning. Happy Days is now a bright contempary style lodge lodge, very comfortable and everyone that stays loves it.

What makes this cabin unique

Both lodges benefit from being very large, ideal for families or 2 couples. The decking areas on them both are some of the largest to be found on White Cross Bay, and we have quality outdoor furniture on them both.

It is only a 3 minute walk to the lake from either lodge and a similar time to walk to reception and the leisure facilities.

Whichever oidge you choose.....we guarantee you won,t be disappointed......some guests have stayed in both.....but can,t decide which they prefer!

Lovely Lodge.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable break staying at Happy Days lodge. Lodge is lovely and has lots of extras. A home from home. We made good use of the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The food we ate in the Boathouse was unexpectedly good although we'd definitely recommend The White Lion in Ambleside. It's dog friendly and the food was excellent. Kim the owner got back to us immediately regarding a couple of questions we had and it's clear that she wants to ensure a comfortable stay for her guests. Would absolutely recommend and return again

Fabulous lodge

A fabulous spacious lodge beautifully decorated and furnished situated a short stroll from the lake. Kitchen is extensively equipped, Kim has thought of everything including extras such as tea, coffee, salt, pepper, kitchen roll, etc. Plenty of storage throughout the lodge and everything provided including lovely towels (not for pool use). Beautiful modern bathrooms, lovely cosy and comfortable lounge, Sky TV, it really is a delight. The decking is large and enclosed which was perfect and safe for our dogs. Negatives, wifi is weak but that applies to the whole of Whitecross Bay but it is also free. We were surprised how far it is from Windermere, about a 45 minute walk but location is central for accessing both Windermere and Ambleside. We totally relaxed and we were sad to leave. It felt like home, it exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return. We had a fabulous time.

SIMPLY WONDERFUL!

Our second stay at Happy Days. Felt at home as soon as we unpacked. Lodge as clean and well maintained as our first visit the year before. The lodge is the perfect base from which to explore the Lake District; a home from home, and centrally located between Windermere and Ambleside. A visit to Brockhole for Tree Top Trek, the adventure playground and walks at Whinlatter, an adventure on Lake Windermere and a visit to Wray Castle are a must for families. Highly recommended.

How to get here

White Cross Bay is easily accessible by road or rail.Sat Nav postcode LA23 1LF.

Exit M6 junction 36, at the roundabout take exit A590 ( Kedal,Barrow) A590 becomes A591 continue in direction of Windermere, pass Stavely, Ings and just before Windermere, carry straight on over mini roundabout following directions for Ambleside. Follow A591 for approx 2 miles ( garage and spar shop on the left) and you will arrive at White Cross Bay on your left, its well signposted.

Distances:

Windermere and Bowness 2 miles ( turn right out of the Park). Ambleside 2 miles ( turn left out of the Park). Lots of attractions and many quality restaurants and pubs are all within a short distance of White Cross Bay.

Further Details:

Shops, banks, garage, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs in Windermere and Ambleside. Lake District Visitor Centre less than 1 mile. Water sports at The Low Wood is only a mile away. Lots of lovely walks and bike rides are on your doorstep.

  • Notes on accommodation: Both lodges are very comfortable and well equipped, with everything you need for your holiday. They are great for couples ( 2 bathrooms) or ideal for families. Free wi-fi internet access, a selection of DVD,s and books. Guests are welcome to use the site leisure facilities for a small charge. The park is open 1st March-14 th Jan each year. We own both Happy Days and Lazy Days lodges, so if you wish to holiday with family or friends and need 2 lodges , please speak to me on 07714099073 to enquire about hiring them both. Unit 1..Happy Days is a pet friendly lodge......but sorry we don,t accept pets in Unit 2 Lazy Days. Outside: Unit 1...Happy Days has a brand new huge decking area wrapping all around the lodge, with secure gates on both entrances, to keep the little ones and the dog safe. There is lots of trees and greenery around the lodge as well as lots of plants on the decking. Large dining table and 6 chairs for your alfresco dining. Unit2 .Lazy Days Lodge has a huge decking area on 3 sides of the lodge ( sun all day)and has top quality outdoor table and 6 chairs on the main decking, with a small bistro table and 2 chairs on the side decking. Theres a comfy sunlounger, lots of pots with plants and flowers and the stream leading to the Lake runs infront of the lodge.We are surrounded by mature trees and this gives the lodge some privacy. The decking has secure gates on both sides, and we have lots of parking space behind the lodge.
