BUCK PLACE COTTAGE - YOUR HOME FROM HOME WITH A DASH OF LUXURY - SLEEPS UP TO 4 PEOPLE AND AN INFANT and includes HEATING, WiFi and use of LEISURE CENTRE and INDOOR HEATED POOLS. Offer above excludes Christmas and New Year. The cottage is suitable as a romantic getaway or family holiday with everything you need for either a quiet break or days full of things to do in the area. Downstairs is open plan with all mod cons and a south facing lounge opening onto the patio. Both bedrooms are spacious. The beautiful sandy beach is a short walk or beach buggy ride away and we have stunning countryside, forests and other seaside places nearby.

Sorry we do not accept pets but there are plenty of cottages on The Bay that do - so just put pets in the search criteria.

Very nicely fitted out

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous stay here. My daughter loved playing on the grassy area to the rear of the property and we felt safe allowing her to do this. The kitchen is well equipped but does lack food storage space as we were cooking most days. Very suitable for families with children my daughter loved her room and slept very well. Sue ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay and supplied a travel cot for our youngest.

Highly recommended

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay but I have taken what you said about food storage on board and moved the pans, to make more room, although our Bilander has more sq footage and storage than many other types on site, a 1/3 bigger than the Nikki beach houses. We are also one of the few cottages with a full sized fridge and freezer, which we find essential when we stay ourselves.

Highly recommended, great cottage, great location

  • 5 of 5

Buck Place Cottage is a stunning property which is maintained to a high standard and is well equipped with all the necessities for a self catering holiday (which is excellent for saving room in the car)

We travelled with 2 young boys and again they were well catered for; from toys and games to stair gates and high chairs.

The cottage is in a great spot within the village with easy access to the on-site facilities. It is also a great area for exploring the surrounding area, Su certainly provided us with enough information on things to do which may day trip planning a lot easier.

So thanks for a great stay and can't wait to come back.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. We really appreciate our Scottish guests making the long journey down to stay at our cottage and we were pleased to have been able to offer you an earlier check in to help you get settled in. Also that our lovely housekeeper Sarah was able to help you out with extra bedding.

Excellent Holiday Home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week with our two little boys and had a brilliant time, the house was lovely. It was spotless and really well presented and had everything we needed. The boys loved it, the stairgate and high chair were useful and the little touches such as the ducks in the bathroom and teddy bears went down brilliantly. The south facing patio was brilliant and there was plenty of grassy space to sit out and run around. The owners provided lots of really useful information about the place and general area which helped us plan. The leisure centre and beach are within walking distance but we drove the 5 minutes to Filey to go to the beach as there are toilets and cafes on hand. There is a lovely Deli in the centre of Filey which is well worth a visit.

The owners care about their guests

  • 5 of 5

We stayed end of April and despite the threat of bad weather we had blue skies and views to die for. The cottage is located in easy walking distance of the amenities (pool, restaurant and pub) and is a short walk to the beautiful beach. We were very happy with the standard of the cottage and the attention to detail, we had everything we needed and more. We will definitely return for another break as there is a lot to do and see on the east coast and the owners of this cottage care about their guests.

Stunning cottage on a fabulous holiday village by the sea

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Buck Place Cottage. It was very well maintained, lovely decor and perfect for our little holiday with our 1 year old. It really helped to have a travel cot, highchair and stairgates provided so we didn't have to bring this with us. There were also lots of boardgames and DVDs for any age which will entertain the entire family. Su and Graham have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.

It was a few minutes walk to the pool, pub and restaurant which were all lovely. The beach is gorgeous however quite a long walk with a little one but this didn't put us off. We had a lovely day in Filey, and also Scarbrough during our stay. There is also a lovely little farm park called Playdale Farm Park just down the road which we really enjoyed.

Su was brilliant and answered any queries very quickly before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank-you

We look forward to welcoming you back soon as one of our many valued returning families who are entitled to a discount on their return visits. Location

From the Owner

We bought our BUCK PLACE by the Sea Cottage near Filey as we enjoyed the area as children, then again with our children and now as grandparents enjoying time out in this lovely part of our beloved Yorkshire.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Humberside at 55 Miles Nearest Barpub : On site Nearest Ferry : Hull at 40 Miles Nearest Golf : Filey at 3 Miles Nearest Train : Filey at 3 Miles Nearest Motorway : A165 Moor Road, Filey to Bridlington at 0.1 Miles Nearest Restaurant : On site Nearest Beach : On site at 1 Miles Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

There is a good path from the cottage down to the beautiful sandy beach and the site are also providing beach buggies down to the beach this year for those of us not so fit.

All up and down the coast there is access to the various very different beaches, from larger resorts like Scarborough and Bridlington to quaint fishing villages and harbours such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby to explore.

Frequent buses pass the entrance to the site and run up and down the coast so you could manage without a car but we advise you bring your own vehicle to be able to explore our beautiful countryside inland.
