About the property

Two-bedroom cottage with stunning mountain & loch views, located on the Fort William road

Ardchattan is a stone cottage dating back to the 19th century situated on the Fort William road in the Highland region of Lochaber. The property overlooks a stoney beach, Loch Linnhe and the majestic Beinn Bheithir range of mountains.

To the south lie the villages of Ballachulish and famous Glencoe, home to Glencoe ski resort and mountains such as Aonach Eagach and Bidean nam Bian, all within 20 minutes' drive.

Stunning views across Loch Linnhe to the mountains beyond can be seen from a new private decking area to the rear of the cottage, which is set within a large garden.

The centrally heated cottage has recently been renovated and provides comfortable accommodation for 4-6 people, consisting of one double bedroom, a second bedroom with bunk beds to sleep 2 people and a double bed/settee in the living room. The kitchen diner is a beautifully converted barn with large Velux windows, stone flooring and exposed stone feature wall. The spacious room is fitted with new appliances, including electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and microwave.

The living room boasts views to the front and rear, and offers a cosy environment with wood and coal burning stove, including wall-mounted TV with DVD player. Fast Wi-Fi access is also included, which can be used throughout the property.

The cottage has a fully fitted bathroom with combined bath and shower with toilet and sink, along with a separate small WC.

Fantastic cottage and location

Travelled back to Scotland on holiday from Australia with my husband and 7 yo son for our first winter home in 18 yrs. Came across his cottage by accident, so glad we did. From the booking process to our departure date David could not have been more helpful. The cottage looks exactly as it does in the photos, spent most of our time in the kitchen area when not out exploring. THe cottage is in a great location and was beautifully renovated. When we next come home we hope to be able to stay here again.

Perfect all round

Ardchatten is a beautifully renovated cottage with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. (just don't forget to take a towel like we did, haha). We got a Tesco delivery on the first night we arrived, which set us up for the week, but there are supermarkets a short drive away.

The cottage was very clean and warm and parking was right outside.

A perfect location for the Highlands.

Petrol Station shop 1 minute walk and pub 10 minute walk away. Short drive to all great mountain biking spots and picturesque walks straight out of the door!

We had great contact with owner and will definitely visit again!

Fantastic!!

The cottage is very well renovated, very light and bright, even in October. It has a very large kitchen /dining room and all mod cons. The views from the garden ,especially from the deck would be hard to beat. Inside is very warm, you can have the central heating on all day if you want , but i managed 3 hours before i could take no more and turned it down. Just across the road is a pebble beach, perfect for sunset or to take the dog for a late walk. I wont waste time listing things to do, as there is so much choice, especially if you love this part of the world like i do. But as a base to do it from, you'll struggle to find better.

An outstanding cottage, and great location

This cottage is beautifully refurbished, very clean and well decorated, with a garden it is great to sit in and admire the view over the loch after a hike. Nicely situated for Glencoe, Fort William and Oban, and there are many hikes in the vicinity. The shower is wonderfully powerful; the wi-fi works perfectly, all the facilities were great, and David the owner was very helpful. We would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant base in the Highlands.

A Beautiful cottage with amazing views.

The cottage is very well equipped with a lovely kitchen with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is brilliant, the decking outside is great unfortunately the weather stopped us from using it. It is only a 15 minute walk to the Loch Leven Hotel where the food is very good and dogs are welcome. I would highly recommend this cottage and if we come back to the Highlands we will come back to Ardchattan.

Please contact the owner through email ardchattanholidays@gmail.com or call 07785 993591. A deposit of £150 is required within 7 days of the booking with the balance and £150 security deposit payable within 6 weeks of the holiday commencement. The security deposit will be refunded within 7-14 days after check-out.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are SATURDAYS with bookings for whole weeks. Shorter breaks will be considered at short notice if the cottage is available.

Notes on prices:
Please note there is an additional weekly charge of £20 for the inclusion of a dog.

Deposit of £150 on booking required, with balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Payable by bank transfer.
