Cottage in St Hilary, Nr. Marazion, Cornwall, England - Central Location For Beaches And Touring The West Of Cornwall

Enjoy a cosy character semi- detached cottage. A sunny west facing conservatory welcomes you in with a sitting/ dining room leading off it. There is a colour tv with a selection of DVDs . Free wi fi and radio.

The fully equipped kitchen leads off the sitting room plus a newly upgraded ground floor shower room. Hot water and electricity is included in the price apart from a £1 slot meter for the Eco radiator in the lounge should it be needed. The meter is located in the front bedroom wardrobe.

Upstairs there is a twin bedded bedroom with countyrside views and double bedded bedroom with garden view . There is a travel cot for a baby if needed. All bed linen is provided apart from bending for the travel cot as most mums prefer to bring their own. Towels are provided except for beach towels.

Regret no pets allowed and no smoking please in the cottage itself. Guests should arrive after 10am on the Saturday and depart at 10am on the following Saturday. On receipt of the deposit directions and key information will be forwarded to the guests.

Notes on accommodation: Regretfully no pets are allowed and any breakages must be paid for. In fairness to other guests No Smoking in the cottage itself. Lighting, cooking and hot water is included in the price, there is a metered eco electric radiator in the lounge for inclement days. Free Wi Fi. A travel cot is available for babies as is a high chair and stair gate on request. Most Mums prefer to bring their own linen for the travel cot so this is not provided. The garden has a latched gate for the safety of children Outside: The property enjoys a pretty, private cottage garden with wrought iron table and chairs plus barbecue. A retractor washing line is available. Safe parking on the drive. Cleaning / Towels / Linen. The cottage is cleaned and prepared after guests vacate and all linen is provided. Fresh linen is available after a week during a two week stay. Other: The Cottage entrance is through a sunny West facing conservatory containing comfortable cane furniture and coffee table.

Lovely cottage in excellent location

Very pretty cottage and garden with dainty but well equipped kitchen. Owners were very helpful and friendly. We had a really relaxing week exploring the local area - particularly liked Marazion, St Michael's Mount, Lizard Point (and surrounding coves) and the Eden Project.

Comfortable cottage in good location for exploring the area

The cottage was nicely presented and the owner very welcoming and helpful. We had a long journey and were grateful for the cream tea awaiting us. Despite the roadside location, it was very quiet and peaceful. No sea view but minutes away from the coast and St Michaels Mount at Marazion. We would definitely stay there again for a relaxing holiday. Everything you need is available but bigger bath towels would have made it perfect.

Fabulous place to stay...

We enjoyed a fabulous week at Little Two Measdows. The cottage is a perfect holiday home - clean, well-equipped and presented to a high standard throughout. Beautiful views over the fields to the rear of the property and an immaculately kept garden which we enjoyed. The owners were very welcoming and happily advised on places to visit and the best ways to get there! On arrival a cream tea and biscuits awaited us - most welcome after a long journey. The cottage was ideally situated for exploring the south-west and we enjoyed a packed week visiting Praa Sands, Minack Theatre (highly recommend), St Michael's Mount ( sensible footwear advisable) Eden Project, Football crazy golf @ St Austell (great fun and worth the drive), Porthcurno, Lanhydrock and Tregwainton Gardens NT. All in all we had a fantastic week and definitely hope to return. We have already recommended LTM to others as a great place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality. 😊

A lovely place to stay. We having been coming to the cottage for over 30 years and return a couple of times every year. The cottage is ideally positioned to explore the surrounding area and places of interest with stunning senery and coastal walks. It is tastefully decorated with bags of character, everything you could need and spotlessly clean. The owners, Sue & Frank, are welcoming and very friendly. Looking forward to our next stay.

The cottage is clean and tastefully decorated with everything you need.A neat garden.The owners are very friendly and most helpful.Off road parking and near to most of West Cornwall attractions.We have been holidaying here for twenty years and hopefully many more.Not considered going anywhere else.

My daughter and I had an amazing stay at Little Two Meadows. The cottage offers everything you could possibly need (and more), and is scrupulously clean and very comfortable. We spent hours in the sunny conservatory and enjoyed the views across the fields. The garden is lovingly tended to and wonderfully private. In terms of location, the cottage is surrounded by lovely places to visit; we especially enjoyed taking the train to St Ives, the sculpture gardens at Penzance and the stunning stretch of coastline from Prussia Cove to Marazion. The village shop was well stocked with fresh bread, veggies and cheeses. And the local pub served great food and tasty ales! Sue and Frank were very welcoming and happy to provide directions or info on places.

Would definitely love to stay there again.

About Sue Harvey

I've lived here since 1972 and my children went to the local playgroup and school. They spent many hours digging in the sand at Perranuthnoe and Marazion beach and making dens in the back fields and now my grandchildren do the same.

Why Sue Harvey chose Saint Hilary

The property was very run down but old and full of character with a pretty garden which was very overgrown.

It used to have a pond and frogs still come back and visit us every year! It was in a very central position easy to get to Penzance and Helston and also had easy access to the A 30.

What makes this cottage unique

The stunning views from the rear of the cottage and well stocked garden were a winner.

Two miles away is Marazion with the historic St Michael's Mount which can be reached by foot over the causeway or boat at high tide. Within two miles is the bathing beach of Perranuthnoe with the unspoilt Prussia Cove just along the coast path. The historic harbour of Porthleven is just 4 miles away with many superb eating places the latest one being Rick Steins new fish restaurant. Travel onto the ancient market town of Helston famous for its 8th May Flora Dance.


Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole are only a 6 mile drive away. Enjoy a performance at the famous Minack Open Air Theatre and relax on the white sandy beach at Porthcurnoe. Further along the coast is the surfing beach at Sennen Cove and then on to Lands End calling in for a cream tea at Zennor. Visit the quirky cobbled streets and beautiful beaches of St Ives - catch a train from St Erth station for a magical scenic ride. Spoil yourself with a days shopping in the Cathedral town of Truro.


The nearest village is Goldsithney half a mile away which has a local shop offering fresh farm eggs, ham, bacon fresh baked bread and crab in the season. Two pubs in the village serve lunch and evening meals and the local Post Office has a hair and nail salon as well.

Sainsbury's, Morrison's and Tesco are 6 miles away at the entrance to Penzance.

Further Details:

For a magical day trip to the Isles of Scilly this can be reached by the Scillonian boat from Penzance approx. 3.5 hours of sailing or Sky Bus from Lands End Airport approx. 20 minute flight.

A few places of interest for children are the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Flambards Theme Park at Helston, and Paradise Park at Hayle.
