Teylu Lowen is an accessible "home from home" bungalow in a quiet rural location near the sea. The bungalow is perfectly placed to visit the Eden Project, the Poldark Mine, Minack Theatre or Flambards. There are cycle paths, golf courses, beautiful beaches and coastal paths all just a few minutes drive away. We recognise that, like us, many families also prefer to relax in the warm evenings with a BBQ and a glass of wine/beer and perhaps play a game of darts or table tennis so we made sure the bungalow had these too.

About Sarah Elliott

Although I now live in the Midlands, I grew up in Cornwall and my family still live just 5 minutes drive from the bungalow. My sister helps with changeovers and will be close at hand if required.

Why Sarah Elliott chose Illogan

The bungalow is close to my family and a few short minutes from the A30 so it's a perfect base to explore Cornwall. It is also just 5 minutes walk from Tehidy Country Park which is an ideal spot to take our dog for a walk.

What makes this bungalow unique

Before I bought this property I could not find affordable accessible, dog friendly holiday accommodation with the home from home feel. The property has a large private back garden with BBQ, table tennis and darts to keep you entertained at home while being a perfect launchpad for all Cornwall's tourist attractions, beaches coastal paths and golf courses.

Notes:
Outside: To the front there are two gates to the driveway (which provides parking for 3 cars) and a small garden. To the rear is a large private garden and patio area with barbeque and garden furniture. There is a table tennis table and racquet sports sets in the garage that can be used in the back garden. The garage also has a dart board (for rainy days), a dog crate, if required, and has space to store surf boards, bicycles, wet suits or golf clubs. Utility Room: Utility area in the garage with washing machine, freezer and microwave. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen is provided (not towels). Ironing board, iron, vacuum cleaner, outdoor clothes line and indoor airer are provided.

A lovely family break!

A lovely stay. For us it was perfect as it was so close to family, who we were visiting in school holidays. We all had a wonderful time, the children loved the Wii&all the games! Perfect for the dog too, which made the stay really special as often we have to put him with a boarder. Having him with us&seeing the children having such a wonderful time was very special. The bungalow itself was clean& really well equipped. Would highly recommend as a base to explore that part of beautiful Cornwall!

Lovely property, clean, comfortable and ideal garden for my two dogs

Very pleased with this property and totally secure garden. Have booked properties previously which stated secure gardens only to find that they weren’t secure at all.

Didn’t use the shower in the en-suite wet room as the water flowed towards the bedroom door too quickly so used the over the bath shower instead, which wasn’t a problem for me.

Kitchen is very well equipped however the knives aren’t very sharp so best to bring your own.

As you can see these are small things. Overall a very comfortable property and would come back again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. We have now bought 3 new super sharp knives. The wet room can occasionally block as it’s a shallow drain however I would encourage all guests to contact me during your stay if it happens as it takes just a few moment to fix. The wet room is back working fine again now.

No smoking is permitted in the property
One well behaved dog is welcome at no extra charge.
A £200 deposit is required to secure bookings.

Changeover Day:
Saturdays. Guests are welcome at any time after 3pm on the day of arrival. We ask that guests leave the property by 10am on the departure day to enable time for the property to be cleaned.

Notes on prices:
The price includes bed linen, wifi and all utilities (not towels). We also provide a welcome pack for our guests.
