About the Owner

We are both from the north of England with one son but have lived in the Bristol area for the last 30 years. We have visited the Mediterranean area for many years and really fell in love with the Spanish countryside and life style.

Excellent Villa with Superb Views

  • 5 of 5

There is nothing not to love about this villa. It is comfortable, well equipped & nicely presented. The pool is a good size and very clean. The outside bbq area is amazing. TV & Wifi a godsend for the children should they want to get out of the sun for a while. The communication with Laurence from the time of booking until returning home was five star. Roy (Property Manager) was extremely helpful from before we even flew out and was always on hand whilst we were there should we have needed. We have stayed in this area three times previously and now finding Casa Keeley only makes us want to return more. We only stayed a week this time but will definitely be returning for a longer stay next year!

Fabulous villa

  • 5 of 5

Excellent villa, lovely and clean and plenty big enough for six - grandparents, parents and 12 and 10 year old girls. We particularly enjoyed the different outdoor seating areas (it was always possible to find shade if you wanted) and the outdoor kitchen with its gas BBQ and fridge/freezer. The house itself had everything you would need for a very comfortable stay, including pool towels.

Roy (the property manager) was always available when needed and had plenty of good advice about places to go, and where to eat. He also kept the pool clean, not easy with our two girls spending so much time in it!

The villa was a great base for exploring too. We visited Malaga (thanks for the tip from Carina about parking at Plaza Mayor and taking the train in), Ronda (spectacular), Mijas (very pretty), Fuengirola (for the Bioparc), Nerja (fabulous caves, very good museum and pretty town), and Antequera (interesting Dolmens and Alcazabar).

We'd be very happy to stay here again, and indeed hope to return one day!

Stunning villa

  • 5 of 5

The villa was even more stunning than the pictures suggest, surrounded by a lovely garden with several lemon trees. The villa had a nice layout with all the mod cons you could possibly need. Ideal for just relaxing, or you could go to Marbella or Puerto Banus which are both about a 35 minute drive.

Lovely holiday

  • 5 of 5

We have recently enjoyed a week at Casa Keeley, our first trip to Spain. The house is spacious and has everything one could need, including wifi and satellite tv with English channels. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the shaded bbq area.

The house is an easy drive to the nearby bustling town of Alheurin which has many restaurants and cafes.

We also visited Mijas, a town in the mountains, which was lovely with many retail therapy opportunities, and fabulous views.

The house is looked after by Roy whose insight into the local area proved very useful.

We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to return to stay at Casa Keeley again

Excellent Villa

  • 5 of 5

Can only reiterate previous comments. Excellent villa, very peaceful surroundings with great views of the mountains surrounding the villa which is situated in a valley. Large beautiful gardens with fruit trees and olive trees. Surrounding properties are mainly Spanish with horses, goats and chickens. A bonus is the separate outside barbecue with that greatest of things an outside beer (or food) fridge. The TV internet facility also has all UK channels including Sky Sports and BT Sports. Abhaurin el Grande is a proper Spanish town with a selection of very good restaurants and is approx 5 - 10 mins by car - we used a taxi a few times which we thought was a bit expensive at 14 euros each way (but we only used one without checking around). Having said that the barbie and villa facilities are so good that we did not go out very often.

The villa is well situated and is only 25 mins from Malaga (beautiful), Mijas (nice but touristy) and Marbella. There are good supermarkets in Coin (neighbouring town approx 15 mins) and the big supermarkets in Malaga and Marbella are not far away.

Carl who looks after the property is on hand for any advice.

Will probably look to go again next year.

Stunning views, beautiful villa and gardens

  • 5 of 5

Having spent a long weekend at Casa Keeley earlier in the year, we had to return for a longer stay and how relaxing it was. The villa is very well equipped and to a very high standard and spotlessly clean; the bbq area is fantastic and just the place prepare a meal after a relaxing day by the pool looking at the stunning views. I would thoroughly recommend Malaga Car.com for car hire as it was very reasonable and trouble free, with the plus point of being close to the airport and right on the route to the villa.

There are plenty of places to go and explore with the coast being only 30 minutes away. The beach at Cala de Mijas is well worth a visit, as is Alhaurin el Grande being less than 10 minutes away by car, with plenty of restaurants and cafe bars to visit.

We look forward to going back next year and thanks for a great holiday.

Nearest beach la Cala de Mijas 20 minute drive.

Other coast areas and beaches Torremollinos, Benalmadena and Marbella are all about a 30 minute drive.

Travel:

Malaga airport is 35 kms from villa which is about a 30 minute drive.

Car is essential for your holiday.

Distances:

Further Details:

Alhaurin el Grande is a beautiful Spanish town which has lots of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and a wide range of shops.

Half of the town still has a feel of the old Spain with its character filled streets and tapas bars. There is also an old church square where the locals meet everyday for a coffee and a chat.

The other half is where the more modern bars and restaurants are located where you have lots of choice to eat Chinese, Indian, Moroccan etc. and of course Spanish.

It has a local market on a Thursday.

There is a good bus service to the coast or Malaga city.

Facilities

From the Owner

Close to villages, towns and beaches, not to mention the airport at Malaga. Yet it is still far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet after a busy day on the beach or local golf courses.
