Overview

About the property

Cabin in Heacham, North Norfolk. - Peaceful Beachside Location And Within Easy Walking Distance To The Extensive Village Facilities

River behind, sea to the front and adjoining a nature paradise. Beachside is superbly located for all nature and seaside pursuits. A large secure shed is provided for additional storage for bicycles and any other equipment that you might decide to bring.

Bright and airy in the summer months, warm and toasty in the winter - due to the state of the art electric heating system and insulation. Superbly located as a get-away in the winter months.

Beachside is ideal for families or couples that want to get away to the coast. The beach is about 40 paces away directly accessible over the private beach road opposite.

The front patio gets the sun most of the day and is great for watching the sun set over the dunes. Alternatively walk 40 paces and watch it set over the sea. Stunning.

About David Johnson

We are a young family and purchased the The Old Barn, Holme, in 2006. We carried out a completed refurbishment and modernisation and continue to make little changes here and there every year. We live near Stamford and travel regularly to The Old Barn to escape work and immerse ourselves in the sheer beauty of all that the North Norfolk coast has to offer.

In 2007 we also bought two properties next to the beach at South Beach, Heacham. We thought these would be perfect for our children to grow up around and play by the beach in the traditional way.

David Johnson purchased this cabin in 2007

Why David Johnson chose Kings Lynn & West Norfolk

Beachside is a perfect base from which to enjoy beach activities. A fabulous vantage point to watch the sun rise over the grazing fields and snettisham woods, through to setting over the sand dunes. Surrounded by nature and an amazingly tranquil location.

Great for families or couples all year round.

Great position, a good size, not too close to neighbours, felt very private. Pretty little place

  • 5 of 5

The property was set in a good location , with the beach just a 2 minute walk away. Great if you are a birdwatcher as close to lots of nature reserves. A good size, with everything you need available. Little local shop just down the road , where you can buy groceries etc. Watching the sunset over the sea was a lovely treat

Comfortable beach house across the road from a clean, relaxing beach

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Beachside for four nights in June/July 2017. David was very kind to allow us to book on the same day as our request (this was a spontaneous trip for our five year wedding anniversary). The beach house is very nice, clean, and comfortable. It is in a really nice location, with the beach in front and a river and field in back (with cows, baby ducks, rabbits). We came by train/bus, so we walked to get supplies. There is a small grocery store within ten minutes, and Hunstanton is a nice 2.5 mile walk down the beach, where there is a big Tesco, among other stores. We were really surprised at how far back the tide recedes at low tide. At its lowest, it is difficult to even see the water from the shore! It is neat to walk all the way out to the water when the tide is low. The beaches are tidy and we loved seeing all of the dogs walking and playing.

Great location and really enjoyed the cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great and kept warm without much if any heating on. We had agreat stay and would return. the only niggle was that the power supply to the frige wasn't mark as fridge and we switched t off believing it was something to do with the cooker and so the fridge was off for over 24 hours. The power switches for the cooker and fridge need labelling to avoid confusion.

Lovely getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this contemporary lodge. Surrounded by beach, river and fields it was just the quiet getaway we were looking for. Our three year old loved it as much as we did and we would all highly recommend this property. We managed to test it extensively as unfortunately we forgot to book the weather!

The information regarding places to eat and the surrounding area were very helpful and David has been great throughout.
