Notes on accommodation: Two well behaved dogs allowed. However, the owner must clean up after the dog and ensure they do not go on the furniture or upstairs. There may be additional cleaning costs charged. The house is 400 years old so if you are over 6ft you will need to duck through some of the doorways. These steps are not suitable for people with mobility problems and small children should be supervised. The pool area itself is flat and fully fenced so secure for young children. There is also a separate toilet and basin in the pool area. In the lower part of the garden there is a lawned area with a pergola with seating and summer house. Outside the house there is patio area with patio heater, BBQ and table and chairs seating 12. Herb garden outside the front door for the use of the guests The Mevagissey road runs alongside the house however all windows face over the Pentewen valley and very little noise can be heard in the house from the road. High Standard of Comfort in Delightful Cornish Property

  • 5 of 5

This property enjoys the very highest standard of facilities. While the house is compact, in keeping with the historic nature of the property, every modern convenience is at your disposal.

There is a gorgeous candlelit dining room which is well served by a fully equipped kitchen. This house is extremely cosy and comfortable, which was lovely as we visited, with our two dogs, slightly out of season.

The steps to the swimming pool (and the bedrooms!) do present a challenge; folks with dodgy knees such as myself will needs go slowly! However the pool area is private and beautifully maintained, and there is a lovely walk (within the property's extensive garden) alongside a stream and there is even a tiny waterfall in the grounds ... so the challenge is well worth it!

The Owner could not have been more charming and helpful!

Family Holiday at Sunny Corner

  • 5 of 5

Fabulous homely cottage to suit all age groups, everything one requires and I mean everything for a family ranging from 18 months to 70. The swimming pool was fantastic, warm & very private, with all amenities for hours & hours of fun. The summer house a delight for a quiet escape - walks from the door-step with so much stunning scenery in all directions. A walk along the track through the woods brings you to the Kingswood - fabulous food to be had here! too ! Certainly would love to return. Highly recommended.

Very well appointed, everything we could wish for was there, grounds and pool loveky

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable beds, pleasing decor, everything we needed and more. The gardens and pool area are lovely, but the rustic steps down, though no trouble for us, would possibly be difficult for elderly or infirm people

The kitchen was extremely well equipped, as was the utility room, and as we had 2 days if heavy rain, we appreciated the huge amount and variety of DVD s and games.

Wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We had a really lovely week at this cottage. It felt very homely and the surrounding area had everything you could want on a holiday. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need. There are a number of steps down to the swimming pool from the cottage but this did not cause us any problems. Highly recommended.
