There is also a separate toilet and basin in the pool area. In the lower part of the garden there is a lawned area with a pergola with seating and summer house. Outside the house there is patio area with patio heater, BBQ and table and chairs seating 12. Herb garden outside the front door for the use of the guests The Mevagissey road runs alongside the house however all windows face over the Pentewen valley and very little noise can be heard in the house from the road. Very well appointed, everything we could wish for was there, grounds and pool loveky

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable beds, pleasing decor, everything we needed and more. The gardens and pool area are lovely, but the rustic steps down, though no trouble for us, would possibly be difficult for elderly or infirm people

The kitchen was extremely well equipped, as was the utility room, and as we had 2 days if heavy rain, we appreciated the huge amount and variety of DVD s and games.

Wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We had a really lovely week at this cottage. It felt very homely and the surrounding area had everything you could want on a holiday. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need. There are a number of steps down to the swimming pool from the cottage but this did not cause us any problems. Highly recommended.

We had a great holiday. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you might need and the pool was lovely. Our grandson spent most days in the pool and had a fantastic time.

Amazing Christmas!!

  • 5 of 5

Laden with bags, a three and six year old, dogs, grandparents and siblings we entered Sunny Corner and Wow!! It was like walking into an enchanted cottage, beautifully decorated for Christmas with wreaths, lights lit throughout with a stunning tree enough to produce gasps all round!

The accommodation was superb, excellent decor and design throughout with such attention to detail,to give the most comfortable stay, even the fire was prepared ready to be lit! Ample books on the local area, and DVDs were available and we were so pleasantly surprised at the high level of utensils and equipment provided which made our stay as a family so successful and enjoyable, even down to fluffy towels and fragrant soaps, we wanted for nothing! Also such a considerate touch to have a welcome tray of goodies too! The accommodation, gardens and location was wonderful, with only a short walk or cycle through a country trail to the beach, super local pubs and restaurants meant we didn't need to go far for enjoyment! The fact that Sunny Corner was so lovely in the winter, I suspect it is spectacular in the summer!

Thank you, an amazing Christmas!

Marvellous stay in this beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

The location is quite lovely. The house is accessed either by the parking spot on the road or by steps up from the woods. Inside, it's really comfortable. The kitchen is really well equipped, the beds comfy. Our (many) children loved playing in the heated pool and watching the DVDs provided. The house was immaculately clean and very nicely presented.

Close by, the Kingswood Bar and Restaurant is a short walk and serves good food. The Polgooth Inn is close by and serves fantastic food. It's also very dog friendly and has a nice beer garden. Pentewan Sands is either a drive or a walk away. We walked by the river and along the trail.

Loved our time here. We were close enough to everything but away from any hustle and bustle.

Wonderful cottage set in beautiful countryside

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a lovely week at Sunny Corner, a brilliant base for exploring Cornwall. We visited Port Isaac, Fowey, Polperro, Looe, The Lizard, Boscastle, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and not forgetting the lovely nearby Mevagissey. Would recommend a visit to them all. We also walked the Pentewan Trail and enjoyed a tasty lunch at The Ship Inn in Pentewan. We found the cottage to be superb, well equipped and homely. The owner Steph has thought of everything needed (what a collection of DVDs and books to choose from). A very helpful approachable lady too. We made use of the heated swimming pool everyday and spent many an hour watching the squirrels and birds feeding. (Lots of nuthatches and jays) Would thoroughly recommend this quirky cottage but please remember some doorways are low!!!!!
