About Caroline Young

I spent many years as a child taking holidays in Swanage and have fond memories of swimming in the sea and exploring the Jurassic coastline. Visits to Tilly Whim Caves and the Globe at Durleston were a favourite and a must every holiday.

Living in the city, Swanage is a great place to escape and relax.

I enjoy spending time walking along the seafront with my dog and we have made plenty of friends who will always stop and talk.

Why Caroline Young chose Purbeck

This period cottage with unique charm and original features especially the beams in the master bedroom sold the property to me.

The cottage is a listed building dating back to the Georgian period and retains many original features.

It is situated in the oldest part of Swanage within walking distance to local amenities, the town centre and seafront.

What makes this cottage unique

This is a charming period cottage retaining the original character in a quiet cul de sac in a great location.

Myself and my family have just spent a wonderful Christmas at Rumpus cottage, it was everything we hoped it would be. The cottage is full of character and there is plenty of space as the property is over three floors. We were lucky enough to get a parking space directly outside the cottage and we did not need to use our car for the entire duration of our stay, due to the excellent location. The cottage was warm, clean and is well equipped. The beds are really comfy too, which is rare within holiday lets. The owner was very friendly from making the initial enquiry about staying and also after our break had come to an end. We had a lovely evening meal at the Black Swan Inn and took the steam train to Corfe Castle. I would really recommend this cottage as an all year round place to stay.
