The cottage is access from the gravelled drive. The double glazed door opens into the open plan living area which comprise of a kitchen,living area,dining . The remaining rooms area accessed from the hallway.

About the property


Single storey cottage,entered from the access road via a wooden gate with two eagles on the gate posts.The cottage benefits from double glazing and under floor heating.On entering into the open plan living area with a well equipped kitchen,there is plenty of light from the windows that over look the fields.From the living area there is a corridor from which the 2 bedrooms and bathroom lead off.The bedrooms are furnished with a king size bed or 2 single beds,wardrobe,dressing table and a full size mirror.The bathroom has toilet,wash basin, and a large walk in shower.There is also a garden area accessed from the living area with outside seating and a washing line.

About Helen Cecil

My husband and I purchased the property with the idea of converting the outbuildings from there original purpose to cottages. This has been along process but we have now finished,and ready for there new occupation.

Why Helen Cecil chose Johnston

The property is ideal for access to the wonderful and varies coastline of Pembrokeshire. The north being rocky and rugged with many small coves and wonderful coastal walks.The south being softer with many sandy havens and large sandy bays.

As well the rough mountain terrain of the Preselis.

All these are within easy reach from the property,either by car or using public transport which will then connect to the coastal shuttle bus that runs along the coastal roads.

What makes this cottage unique

Popevilla cottages are two holiday cottages with an open plan dining/living area with a well equipped kitchen, lounge with TV .From the living area are two double rooms with either a king size bed or a twin bedded room,the bathroom consists of a large walkin shower, basin and wc.The is a grassed area to the back of the cottages with outdoor furniture over looking the fields. Both properties benefit from underfloor heating.

Booking and enquiries can either be on line or over the phone.
There is a 25% non refundable deposit on booking with the remainder to be paid 6 weeks before arrival.

Notes on prices:
For short breaks the price starts from£75 .00 per night.
The price includes the heating ,electric ,all bed linen,bath towels and kitchen cloths. Not included are beach towels.

Notes on accommodation: The kitchen has oven and hob toaster,microwave,kettle and fridge, and various kitchen utensils and baking trays. Living area has ample seating with a wall mounted TV with freeview. Dining area has a table and two bench seats. Bedroom1 has a king-size bed wardrobe,dressing table bedside cabinets and lamps and a large wall mounted mirror. Bedroom 2 has two single divans with under bed storage, wardrobe,bedside cabinets and lamps. Wet room/shower a large screened shower basin and toilet. Outside: Outside the cottages is a grassed area with outdoor furniture .

Welcoming clean and friendly cottage with a few nice touches

Nice central cottage . What you don't realise are half way between Fishguard and Pembroke . Good beaches close st David's , broad haven . Folly farm, oak wood , blue lagoon 20 minutes away . Good parking amble room in the cottage . Very nicely finished cottage and area

Excellent location for coastal path walking.

Enjoyable stay, road was a bit noisy but bearable. Well oppointed accommodation with every thing you need for a short break.

Lovely outside space to enjoy alfresco dining weather permitting.

Ideally located for walking the coastal path, within 30-35 minutes drive to most places.

Would return and recommend to others.

Would have liked wi fi.

Great cottage to stay in and to visit from !

The cottage was well equipped and comfy. We noticed and appreciated the attention to detail in the house (lovely shower, quality fittings, loads of towels, nice beds, ...) The welcome was very pleasant and the goodies waiting for us in the kitchen a nice touch ! The cottage is very close to the main road, wich seemed to quieten down at night, so wasn't a problem for sleeping. It also meant we were rapidly on our way to visit places ! There were enough comfy chairs to lounge around in and watch tv, a nice big table to sit at for meals, and the two nice size bedrooms gave us extra private space.

I will mention that the website indications took our satnav to the following hill near a pub (in Johnston ?), so maybe a more precise longitude/latitude would help find the cottage more easily.

We will certainly keep the address and go back if we are ever near there again !

Lovely cottage, great location

Arrived at pope hill farm cottage and very impressed with the size of the bedrooms and the open plan kitchen,living was very spacious,the wet room shower was brilliant. Helen provided,milk,eggs,bread,homemade marmalade,and pack butter for our arrival,this was very much appreciated.

Cooking facilities were first class,everything you needed was there. The location is superb,very close to Haverfordwest west,and a simple drive into Milford haven,plus Oakwood park,folly farm are all a short drive away.

All in all had a great weekend and well worth the money I paid,will 100% be going back to pope hill farm.
