Apartment in Nice, Alpes Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Cote DAzur, France - Air Conditioned Apartment With Communal Pool And Car Parking. Sleeps 2

Our recently renovated small apartment (approx 32 sq m) gives you a comfortable stay in a great location. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the small local beach or down to the bustling port. An easy 20 minute stroll will take you into the atmospheric old town with various bars, restaurants and shopping. Close by you can buy provisions at a large supermarket and it is conveniently on a local bus route if that suits you best. There is a double bed with generous wardrobe hanging and drawer capacity in the first room. We have The White Company bed linen. The open living space has a galley kitchen,sitting area and out on to the balcony with a contemporary wicker dining set. The kitchen has many utensils and is well equipped with smart cutlery and crockery. Heating and comfort cooling is by air-con plus convector. From the ground floor the apartment is accessed by three lifts.There is good WiFi and a DVD player with TV. There is a communal pool and car park space.

Transfer costs through our local agent TravelHut, can easily be arranged. Out of normal working hours there will be a surcharge and you are advised to speak to them to confirm this additional cost.

I live in the East Midlands with my husband who is a surveyor. Our children have left home for London and although we would like to spend lots of time in our flat, work commitments don't allow this!

I rent the flat because most places are better 'opened up' and used. I hope to treat our visitors as well as I would like to be looked after.

Why Bronwen Blenkin chose Nice

My husband and I love our small, but perfectly formed apartment - and hope you do too!

It's a place to either spend time in or leave and explore but have some comforts when you come in. The pool is a treat at the end of a warm day. A few lengths and then all those calories worked off. We have explored all along the coast from Nice using every form of transport and have travelled inland to the mountains.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is so convenient for the city. In the winter a city break means galleries and sitting on the sunny side of the street for a coffee. In the summer it's a day on the coast and a refreshing welcome swim when back; then sitting on the lounger reading in the warm evening sunshine.

We walk a great deal in Nice which of course gives you more of a sense of your location. The starting point of your break is booking this wonderful place!

Fantastic apartment, brilliant location.

This was our first visit to Nice and certainly won't be our last. The apartment is in a great location with easy access to the airport and other transport, the bus from the centre of Nice stops just outside the apartment. We didn't hire a car and found public transport easy to navigate. So many lovely things to do in Nice, markets, galleries, museums, the beach.... The apartment is very well equipped with lovely touches like a basket with DVDs for you to watch and the white company linen is a real treat. Everything you could want in the kitchen except a microwave perhaps?. Outside space Is great and the pool was always empty during the day and even in the evening it only had a few people there.Peaceful and the most amazing sunsets... The property was spotless and very well serviced by the company Travel hut who went out of their way to help us. Our dealings with the owners have been excellent, efficient and helpful. We loved our break away so much that we have re booked for next summer and for longer so that we can visit all of the places we want to by car. Thanks very much, we can't wait till next summer.

Small apartment

This apartment is small but clean, modern kitchen units, no toaster and just a hob no oven. The bed is pushed up in a corner, so you have to climb over your partner to get in and out of bed. You cannot use the air conditioning unit in the bedroom area which is so hot at night. Patio door broken when we arrived. Eventually got fixed with bad attitude from the agents wanting to charge us a fee to fix something that was broken prior to us arriving. Nice pool and balcony but very compact inside the apartment, more like a studio.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. I think the description on the website is accurate. Le Baccarat is described as a small apartment quoting the size and we did exchange emails before your holiday describing the facilities which are also illustrated on the website. The patio door lock was not broken on arrival but was subsequently repaired within 24 hours. It is true the double bed is against a wall but there is also a separate sofa bed in the living area. The air con unit in the sitting room is usually sufficient to cool the apartment. Our agents TravelHut are well known in Nice and have a good reputation. Unfortunately part way through your stay they refused to assist any further following your disrespectful attitude towards them over the first few days.

Well appointed apartment in a good location

We had a wonderful stay in the newly appointed apartment in Nice. With internet access, TV and a fabulous pool on the same level our stay was quite blissful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained with crisp white sheets.

It is situated near to all the local amenities, shops and restaurants and boasts it's own car parking space within the building.

I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.

The apartment block is a secure area and an electric fob is with your apartment key with access also to car park. Lighting is on press button time switches in the communal areas. There is a communal pool which is maintained during the season usually 1 June - 30 September. Utility Room: Washing machine and dryer in communal utility room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are extra and can be rented at €30. No fee if you bring your own bedlinen and towels. Professional cleaning at end of stay €40. Communal washing machine and dryer in the basement. The apartment has double duvet and 4 pillows.
