Why Kathleen Yvonne Atkinson chose Almancil area

We have owned a property in the Vale do Lobo resort for many years and purchased our current villa 'off plan' in exchange for our previous property. We chose Vale do Lobo because of the ease of access from the airport, the luxurious environment and the excellent facilities, particularly the golf courses and restaurants which we use on a regular basis. There is also a large ex-patriot community and we have made some good friends in the area.

What makes this villa unique

Vale do Lobo is well placed to get the most of everything the Algarve has to offer. If you want to play golf or tennis in a relaxing environment then this is the place for you. Its a bit on the expensive side but if you go for the twilight sessions its well worth the experience of playing two of Europe's most spectacular golf courses. There are plenty of places to eat in the resort and some excellent restaurants to suit all tastes in the surrounding area. If you don't want to go out, the Ken Lo Chinese Restaurant in the Tennis centre across the road does an excellent take away service. The beaches at Vale do Lobo are superb and there are several you can get to within a ten to fifteen minute walk. If you don't want to walk that far for a swim, there is a pool in the Tennis Centre.

Outside: The large, secluded wrap around terrace provides a combination of all day round sunshine and shade which creates a delightful and peaceful environment. In addition to the three metre plunge pool, there is a brick built barbecue, four sun loungers, two sun chairs, a large sun umbrella and two large dining tables and chairs - in short, everything you need for rest, relaxation and outdoor living. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment will be fully serviced prior to your arrival and provided with clean linen, towels and tea cloths. For longer stays, the towels and bed linen will be refreshed on a weekly basis. A daily maid service can be arranged at additional cost. Other: The spacious dining area provides seating for six people to eat in comfort. The dining area adjoins the living area to create a bright and airy environment. The large patio window opens out onto the sun terrace.

Excellent, clean, well maintained luxurious villa

My wife, son, daughter-in-law, grandaughter and I stayed here for a week and had a marvellous time. The villa was ideal, quiet, in a good location and well furnished throughout. Everything worked as it should including wi-fi and we have absolutely no criticism of anything. The resort itself is really well run with a great choice of restaurants and bars. The two golf courses are superb although they can be very busy so you need to book early - we also got discounts on the golf since we were classed as residents. It's a good 15 maybe 20 minutes to walk to the beach/restaurant area and it is up and down some hills so for some people a car would be essential instead of walking. Overall, I would highly recommend this villa and the very helpful owner Yvonne.

Clean, well furnished, relaxing luxury villa.

Stayed here in September in a group of six adults. The villa is very clean, spacious and well furnished. Situated in lovely location opposite Tennis Academy on the exclusive Vale do Lobo golf and beach resort. Ten minute walk from the beautiful beach with plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. Pool terrace is very peaceful and relaxing and gets the sun most of the day.

Another excellent holiday

We have just returned from another super holiday break in this villa which is conveniently situated near to the Val do Lobo Tennis Centre and swimming pool. It is within a few minutes stroll to the beach and beach restaurants and two excellent golf courses are on hand.

The interior of the villa is spacious and maintained to a very high standard. The sun terrace and plunge pool are blessed with a southerly aspect and get the sun all day. There is however adequate shade for those who wish to avoid direct sunlight.

We like the luxurious holiday feel and we would recommend it for couples or a family who want a break without the regimentation of a hotel. It can be a step in the dark to invest one's holiday time in the unknown but be assured you will not be disappointed here.

Lovely Villa in Excellent Location

This was our third visit to the Villa and as previously, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Vale do Lobo is a very exclusive resort and the facilities, particularly the golf courses, are first class. The villa is clean, luxurious and well furnished and there is plenty of place for six people. The sun terrace is a lovely place to relax and although there are plenty of places to eat in and around the resort, we spent most of our evening sitting in the terrace with a barbecue or a take away from the Tennis Academy which is directly opposite. The beach is about a fifteen minute walk away and it is probably one of the best in the Algarve.
