17 kelwyn court is a duplex apartment that sleeps 4, with communal gardens, and with private parking. It's situated in Carbis bay just away from the bustle of St Ives. A more peaceful location close to its own beach a beautiful coastal walk away. One of Cornwalls hidden treasures.

A apartment is over 2 floors. With open plan living room, kitchen & dining room. 1 bedroom & family bathroom. Upstairs another large double bedroom.

Entertainment complementary Wifi. 32" tv. Digital radio with aux port.

The apartment is centrally heated throughout. All utilities, bed linen and towels are included apart from beach towels.

Close to carbis bay beach a 10 minute walk away which has restaurants & hire of canoes & paddle boards. This area has a laid back feel. A bus stop is just outside the property which goes to st ives, Truro & Penzance area with st Michaels mount. It has its own local pubs & restaurants 2 minute walk away. A lovely train ride to st ives which is an unmissable coastal ride along the coast with amazing views & beautiful coastal walks. It's a perfect location to all surrounding areas! A hidden treasure for people wanting a more relaxed holiday

Hi my name is Jane. Myself and my husband own 17 kelwyn court. We are a local couple.

We currently enjoy our retirement living in Gran Canaria and travelling around the country in our motor home. We have just bought 17 kelwyn court as our base for when we are here. We have daughters living in St Ives and Carbis bay.

Outside: Gardens mostly flowering shrubs and grass surround the properties and are shared by residents. Space for drying washing is available. Folding chairs are available to use which are kept inside property there is also communal benches in the grounds. Utility Room: Vacuum cleaner ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Fresh Towels & linen are included with this property and cleaning will take place between bookings. We advise you bring your own beach towels. Cleaning equipment is available for use in apartment (vacuum mop and cleaning products) if needed. Other: The property has an open plan kitchen, dining room & lounge. Also Reading areas (chill out area) with books, magazines & lamp. The master bedroom also has a TV.

Fantastic stay

Had an amazing time. Apartment is in a fantastic location and those views! Wow! Very well equipped and comfortable. Beach is just a short walk away as is a large tescos and a lovely pub Cornish Arms a few minutes walk away. Lovely food. Badger Inn is 5 minutes drive and does an excellent carvery. St Ives is lovely but busy so would recommend train rather than trying to park! We went to Bodmin Jail, Jamaica inn, St Ives, Porthminster Beach, Porthcurno, Lands End, Kynance Cove, Lizard Point, Gunwolloe Charlestown and Port Isaac ~ all within an hours drive. We will definitely be back and would stay here again. Only small gripe would be no tea/coffee or even a pint of milk! After a long drive it would have been nice to enjoy a cup of tea/coffee without having to visit a shop first. That aside wonderful apartment.

Extremely clean and well furnished apartment with lovely views.

The apartment was lovely and warm and had everything in it you would need for a self catering holiday. All the furniture and furnishings were very comfortable and new. Everything was really clean. There was no noise from other flats or surrounding area. It is near a big Tesco store and several pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Also used the train for St Ives.

Immaculate homely apartment with great views short drive or walk from attractions. Welcoming local pub the Cornish Arms just up the road for simple home cooked food. Would stay again with no hesitation.

close to local supermarket, bus route, train station & beautiful coastal walks.


Carbis bay beach is a 10 minute walk down through the beautiful valley. Parking is also available at beach. A safe beach with a bar, take away & cafe which caters for everyone.

The walk to St Ives takes 20 minutes and we are right next to the bus route to St Ives which takes 5 minutes.

Also the train station is a 10 minute walk away which takes you to St Ives beach in one direction or porthkidney beach in the other. Both are just quick trips along the picturesque coastal railway line.


Nearest airport is Newquay airport 40 minute drive away.


St Micheals mount: 20 drive away

Lands end: 40 minutes by car. An open top bus is available from St Ives which takes you to lands end along the south coast! Amazing coastal views through coves & villages.

Eden project: 45 minute drive away

Paradise park: 5 miles away

Truro City: 15miles away

Scillonian ferry which takes you on day trips to the Isles of scilly 20 minute drive away which leaves from Penzance key.

Tihidy woods gorgeous walks 20 minute drive.

Refundable Damage Deposit £100

Booking Notes:
Booking is by email or telephone direct to owners daughter Rachael. A non refundable deposit of 25% is payable on booking. The total balance payable 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the letting period booked.
A £75 deposit against damage/ breakages is required. This will be returned in full normally within 14days of departure. Assuming no loss or damage has been incurred.
Clients are advised to take out their own insurance in case of cancellation.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is a Friday. Arrivals after 3pm and departures no later than 10am please. To enable appropriate time for cleaning.

Notes on prices:
Whilst the prices are listed for 7 day periods, shorter stays may be arranged by negotiation with the owners daughter. But not in the high season. The minimum rate will be £100 per night.
