House near Carew, Pembrokeshire, Wales - Short Walk To The River; Short Car Ride To The Fabulous Beaches Of South Pembrokeshire
We bought Pisgah Farm (no one can remember when it stopped being a farm...but it was a long time ago!) in 2010 to give us a base in the area in which we grew up and it has become our greatly cherished family holiday home. The house is comfortably furnished and has masses of space to relax both indoors and outdoors. The sitting room, kitchen and conservatory are all very big and ideal for getting everyone together...or offer plenty of space for everyone to find their own quiet corner! There is always plenty to do whether it's going to any one of the many fabulous beaches; crabbing by the mill in Carew; hopping across the stepping stones down by the river; kayaking through the wonderful creeks on the river; walking or cycling through the network of paths and lanes to the lovely café at Lawrenny or just finding your favourite spot to relax in the garden which has extensive views over rolling fields. Wi-Fi, Ipod docking station, incoming phone calls, bikes for you to use, outbuilding to store your own bikes all in a very tranquil setting.

Fabulous Family Farmhouse!
About the Owner
We had an idyllic childhood running quite wild in Pembrokeshire and despite having to leave for university and then jobs we have never REALLY left although we have lived in Bristol for many years! We are in Pembrokeshire at least every other weekend...we just can't quite leave it and I am sure you will know what we mean.

Fabulous Family Farmhouse!
We were absolutely delighted with this property. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 children (age range 2 to 8) so we needed lots of space and this place delivered! As mentioned in previous reviews, there are so many areas to relax and the conservatory was great for the kids to play in whilst the adults relaxed in the lounge or kitchen areas. The facilities were first class, from the really well equipped and spacious kitchen with everything you could hope for, to the lounge full of DVD's and games. The grounds were lovely to explore and there is a great BBQ and garden games which we just about managed to make use of between rain showers!! The owners were very helpful and friendly and wanted to ensure we had everything we needed. It was also the little details that made it like lots of children's cups and plates, high chair, great info/welcome pack and lots of kitchen essentials (cooking oil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc.) and some welcome Welsh cakes!! The place was immaculately clean and well presented and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful property. Great places to visit are Carew Castle just down the road (and lunch at the Carew Inn), Tenby, St Davids and Coppet Hall Beach near Saundersfoot is great with parking and coffee shop and facilities at the Coast Restaurant all right on the beach front. The Stack Pole Inn is also great for a drink. The weather was terrible during our stay but this made it all the more important to have a great place to stay in or come back to! We have already recommended it to our friends and wouldn't hesitate coming again. Many thanks...
Lovely holiday with all the family
We feel really lucky to have found this property for our family holiday. Such a well equipped house and really cosy too. We nearly had a whole sofa per person! It was also such a great location - enough off the beaten track but not too far from lots of things to do.
Wonderful Coutryside Holiday
Homely and spacious farmhouse with beautiful large garden offering fantastic views over the country side. Well equipped, clean and comfortable inside with large outdoor space for the children to run around. We enjoyed the National Trust's Stackpole estate, the beeches at Broadhaven and Barafundle Bay whilst a lunchtime pit stop at the Stackpole Inn was delicious and refreshing! Although whether was not great we still enjoyed the local walks and crabbing at the Carew Mill. The owners were swift in their communication and helpful. We hope to return in the future and no hesitation to recommend to others.
A gem of a family house in beautiful Pembrokeshire
Our party of 6 adults and 2 small children stayed here for a week. It is a fantastic family home which comfortably surpassed our expectations. The house is big and the garden large enough to provide areas for socialising and safe play for the children. The house is extremely well equipped with the owner thinking of everything. We found her very helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to see.
The area is beautiful with fantastic beaches such as Barafundle Bay and Broadhaven both of which require a short walk to access them but the effort is repaid several times over. We were blessed with excellent weather during our week and I can honestly say that in these conditions there is no finer place on the planet.
I have no hesitation in recommending this property for a family holiday, you will not he disappointed.
Well decorated, pleasant house with pretty garden.
We enjoyed our stay here. The house is very nice. It is pleasantly decorated and has a pretty garden. The house had more than enough space for our party of two families of four.
Good location with great beaches within 15-25mins drive.
Had the most perfect week in gorgeous Pembrokeshire! The weather was stunning, just right for the walks on the coast path we had planned. Great too for exploring the lovely Pembrokeshire beaches, there is so much to do we will definitely return!
The house was really lovely, it is beautifully done out, ever so comfortable and had everything we needed to ensure our stay was relaxing and stress free. The garden is huge, and lovely to sit out with a glass of wine in the evening. There are some great walks from the house too.
We can recommend the lovely pub down the road in Creswell Quay, we took a walk down from the house, the wild flowers in the hedgerow were so pretty. Had a meal one evening in Carew Inn which was really good, lovely views over to the castle too.
All in all a perfect place for a week away in Pembs, could not fault it, hence the 5 stars... The house, location, weather... We could have stayed forever!

Add to this the access to the river and, a little further afield, the Preseli Hills for walking and cycling.”

“We love the garden and spend many hours outside enjoying the views and the birdlife as well as star gazing at night. In sunny weather the doors are all open giving access to lots of different parts of the garden for elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner and on cold winter evenings it is wonderful to snuggle up by the log burner. The house and garden are a great home from home...so much more than just a "base" for a holiday. We hope that you will find as much to draw you back to Pembrokeshire as we do.”
