Good value and very comfortable property....

  • 4 of 5

Brittany is a very beautiful place to visit. Beach is about 20 mins away at Erquy. The cottage is very comfortable, and being well appointed we found it very good value for money. We liked the open plan kitchen / diner / lounge that creates a very social space. Kitchen is very well stocked with good quality items and separate pantry is useful. The games room and extensive DVD collection provided any indoor entertainment needed. Plenty of outdoor furniture and an excellent bbq, and open fields at the end of the garden where you can sit and watch and listen to the green woodpeckers! Was a bit gutted the bar owners were on holiday the same time as us! Local bakers and butchers are excellent.

Improvements? Tall lamp in corner of lounge perhaps? Visitor book to benefit from other users recommendations? Firmer mattresses (A very personal thing but they were a bit soft for me)?

Would happily recommend!

A really gorgeous home from home and more..

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed July/August in this beautiful stone cottage in a little picturesque village (Pledeliac) Brittany. We were a family of 7 , 2 adults and 5 children and to say we enjoyed the stay would be putting it mildly.

The cottage, was without question, the most lovely cottage we have stayed in, it was spotlessly clean through out, fully set out for any and all of our day to day And evening entertainment requirements, were very well catered for. We were very happy to come " home" to our French holiday cottage each evening. We ate just outside the patio doors most evenings, and all furniture, indoor and out was in pristine condition.

It is close to amenities within the village, my husband went adventuring early in the mornings and he returned with delicious croissents and fresh bread every morning for the family, a friendly butcher is also nearby, and the cottage was easy to find, thanks to the wonderfully helpful cottage owners, ( a big thank you for all your assistance).

The nearby sports grounds were a big attraction for our lads too, and tennis, Gaelic football and even basket ball were all tried out there.

Our children didn't even miss wifi as there were so many games , or DVDs in abundance to choose from each evening.

Thank you so much to both Michelle and Paul for allowing us have such a beautiful place to call "home" for a brief while and thus allowing us to tour around ( which we did a great deal of ) we visited places like Dinan, Rennes, Mt Saint Michelle, St. Malo , trips to the beach, and shopping trips were all within easy reach ( all less than 1 to 1 1/2 hours away and we managed to show our children a little piece of the real France, of which I am a big fan...

Kind regards, and many thanks again,

Maria , Billy and 5 children (8 to 14 years old. )

Owner's Response: Dear Maria, Billy and family, Thank you for taking the time to provide such wonderful feedback. We're so happy you found the cottage met and exceeded your family needs and expectations, that you managed to make full use of the cottage and all it had to offer, it's wonderful to note the children enjoyed the local amenities and great that you and your family also made full use of all the local artisan shops for your morning requirements - it's great to have the Patisserie within a 2 minute walk. It sounds like you all had a brilliant time, we're very happy that our cottage helped to make such wonderful memories for yourself and the family. Best wishes Michelle

A Beautiful Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

Our annual holiday to France is always determined by the opening stages of the Tour De France. So this year when we hear it was to be around Normandy/Brittany we started our search. We were delighted to find this beautiful little cottage in the village of Pledeliac. The booking procedure was a joy from start to finish & when we arrived at the property we were delighted that not only was it spotless & tastefully decorated but a welcome bundle of fresh croissants & bread along with fruit & milk awaited us. Its all about the little touches & the owners here have pulled out all the stops. The rooms are light & spacious & we spent many a pleasant evening in the garden or eating around the table. The village has a Tabac (very friendly with lovely beers & snacks) & also a Butchers, Bakers & Convenience store. The beaches are a short drive from the property and its location to various towns & cities is first class. The owners had pointed us in the direction of a few places and they certainly did not disappoint with Dinan being a highlight of the trip. We have stayed in many properties in France & we all agreed that this was our favourite to date. Great location, great facilities, quiet & peaceful but within reach of many places. We could not fault this beautiful "Little Nest" in anyway. Thank you so much... We will be back.

Quaint cottage

  • 3 of 5

Nice wee cottage in middle of nowhere, yet close enough to Brittany's beaches and medieval towns. Village itself is quiet with beautiful surroundings, where else can you go for a run in the morning and come across deer crossing the road? Property is nice enough, we have given it 3 instead of 4 stars because there was a weird lingering smell in the downstairs kitchen/sitting room. Couldn't quite locate it, think it might be the sofa, or someone has had cats in there or something. Think the place just needs a good airing, didn't feel like it gets rented that often. A folder with contact details and some general local info would be good too. Not that we needed it, but on website it says there is Internet, didn't come across that. Upstairs bedrooms are great, plenty of room. If you are a big family and plan on eating in all the time, then the fridge is possibly too small, not an issue for us as we are out heaps. Would we stay here again? Yes probably we would as it is cheaper than a house on the beach, and the good beaches are only a 20-minute drive away. Nearby Dinan is also a must. If the smell gets sorted the place would be a 4 star.

Lovely well equipped cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was easy to find and spotlessly clean. Good quality bedding provided. We booked it as a base to visit Dinan and area. It was perfect for this. The owner was very helpful, keeping in touch with email. We really appreciated how warm it was as the evenings at this time of year were chilly. Would recommend.

Restorative stay in a charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this charming cottage with garden, a short walk from a grocer, bakery and tennis/sport activities in a very pretty village. The house had spotlessly clean bedding prepared for our arrival after an exhausting experience trying to camp in rainy weather! We all slept so well all week. Plenty of hot water all week & a washing machine/ laundry liquid also supplied - much appreciated! Thanks also so much for accepting our booking request at short notice. We would highly recommend this property.
