About the property

Bustling Padstow with great pubs, shops and restaurants is less than 3 miles from our delightful rural location. Fabulous beaches a short drive away.

Beautifully converted, detached, stonebarn with spacious accommodation for six. In a rural location yet only five minutes from Padstow and the beautiful beaches around Trevose Head. The Long barn is set at the end of a lane in a tiny hamlet consisting of four houses and a small workshop. From the large entrance hall two double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room, one twin bedroom and a family bathroom comprises the ground floor. A travel cot is available and all bedlinen and bath towels are provided. Upstairs is a large lounge and separate kitchen dining room with external steps down to an enclosed private patio area. Paved parking for two cars and a small grassed area is at the front of the property. Around the side and to the rear is an enclosed, paved patio barbecue area. Well-behaved dogs are accepted, although we ask that they are not allowed into the bedrooms or left in the property unattended. Friday to Friday bookings are offered from mid May through to September (20/5/16 to 23/9/16). A10% discount is offered for the second week of any booking

Notes on accommodation: This Stone barn was converted some 30 years ago into a delightful family home. Now, for a second summer, available as ideal holiday accommodation. Unusually the living accommodation is upstairs with all the bedrooms down stairs. This provides delightfully cool bedrooms in the summer and airy spacious living accommodation. Beautifully decorated throughout with beamed ceilings and many features such as the large stone fireplace. Outside: To the front of the property is parking for two cars and a small grass area with a rotary clothes line. To the side and rear is a paved area with circular table seating six, a large gas barbecue and a sun shade. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels and all bedlinen are provided and changed on a weekly basis. Property is cleaned prior to customers arrival.

Lovely barn conversion in ideal location close to Padstow

We stayed at the end September - beginning of October 2016 and the property was ideally situated for Padstow and the surrounding area. The barn was very well equipped and comfortable and felt like a home from home. The owners were very helpful when we arrived and in the barn were plenty of maps and pamphlets on local attractions and restaurants. The barn was very clean and tidy and nicely furnished situated in a quiet spot with a few other properties nearby. I liked the layout with the three bedrooms downstairs with the kitchen and lounge upstairs making great use of the space.

We chose to visit the Eden Project on the day we were expecting rain and took about half an hour to drive there.We had visited Cornwall quite a few times and never got round to visiting Eden before so glad we went.

On another day we cycled the Camel Trail from Padstow to Wadebridge return. We found a tiny cafe in Wadebridge called the Shed and had a lovely cream tea and ciabattas.

We visited Polzeath and Port Isaac and local beach of Harlyn Bay and luckily the weather was lovely for the time of year.

We liked the Cornish Arms (Rick Stein) in St Merryn, thought the Rick Stein chippie takeaway a little overrated (sorry). If you're paying £35 for four meals, it really needs to be top quality.

In summary, I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and say how much we enjoyed staying here.

A lovely home from home!

On arrival, everywhere was clean and fresh. It all felt immediately like being home, little bathroom touches were glamorous (pretty lights in the main bathroom), and comfy beds and pillows. The lounge size is impressive, plenty of space, lots of dvd's, games and books. Although we were too busy to use anything, it was great to know things were there for a rainy day. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, it was a relief to not have to go and buy basics like cloths or cleaning products. The bottle of wine was chilled and enjoyed! We were sad to leave.

The are is very quiet, off a lane in the country, but a short drive to lots of beaches, good parking at Harlyn Beach and reasonably priced, Constantine, Treyarnon, Trevone etc all beautiful. We're looking forward to our return next year! The Halfway house did great food on the A39, and the Golden Lion in Padstow, both worth a mention.

Would thoroughly recommend.

Relaxing home from home

We stayed in this beautiful home in order to celebrate a 40th birthday. The house is excellent and very homely.

We arrived to a beautiful cake and some supplies which was a welcome treat. The house is very well equipped with everything you'd need for a weeks holiday.

The house is perfectly situated and provides peace and quiet which was most welcome from those of us who are townies!! Very close to beaches and local areas with Padstow just a short drive away.

All in all, I would whole heartedly recommend this beautiful house and indeed the area itself as a holiday destination. We have enjoyed the week so much and would definitely return.

We booked Padstow so we could celebrate the birthday at Rick Steins seafood restaurant. The restaurant did not disappoint and the house made the holiday even better.

Speaking of Rick Stein, it turns out he pretty much owns Padstow, we wondered if the place will grind to a halt when he meets the great fish God in the sky. Anyway, we loved it!!

Absolutely brilliant

What a l,ittle gem of a cottage, perfect;y placed for the beaches and Padstow itself, yet quiet enough to believe you are in the middle of nowhere. On arrival we found Milk, tea, coffee etc in the fridge aling side a nice chilled bottle of wine, there was also home made cake waiting for us which after our journey was quickly eaten up.

The cottage itself is just fantastic, with everything you could possibly need on hand, the kids loved the fact that they didn't loose their SKY tv the dog just loved the space for her to roam arounf in, in fact i think she had the best time as she made friends with the owners god very quickly and they were hard to prise apart.

If you are looking for a spacious cottage with fantastic beaches, many dog friendly all year and only a short hop from the beautiful Padstow then my advice would be to snap this up if its available, you won't be disappointed.

Burrows and Brown Party

Lovely warm welcome. Very nice accommodation a real home from home. An added bonus of a toy corner which was well used through out the week by four year old Amelia-May (4th birthday celebrated during our stay) and 20 month old Olivia. The property is brilliantly located, 5 minute drive from Padstow and short drive to many other popular beeches, suitable for surfers and families alike. We have the Cornwall bug so will no doubt return.

Booking Notes:
A £200 deposit is required to confirm a booking and balance within 6 weeks of arrival date. Via owners direct, cheque or balance transfer accepted. Rental charges include cleaning, car parking, electricity, central heating, linen and towels and fuel for the wood burning stove. We normally let Friday to Friday for full week breaks and offer a 10% discount on second and subsequent weeks.

Changeover Day:
Friday changeover offered to avoid the Saturday traffic jam which the A30 can become in the summer. Guests are requested to leave by 10am and arrive no earlier than 2pm. Can be flexible if no conflicting bookings.
