The Don Joaquin apartments are down a small quiet road and is a residential complex mainly catering for couples and families. Main bedroom with king sized bed has fitted wardrobes and access onto private balcony which is not overlooked. Family bathroom with 4 piece suite. Second bedroom with twin beds and own shower room and toilet facilities. Large lounge area which contains 3 sofa's one of which is a 2 seater sofa bed. We have had this apartment since 2005 and have never regretted buying it. We have had some great times there with all the family and grand children. There is plenty of attractions for all ages which are mostly walking distance from the apartment.

Notes on accommodation: We are flexible on arrival and departure times and days. We can offer free storage space for your luggage for late afternoon/evening flights home which gives you the freedom to make your last day a pleasure. We have amassed 40 reviews on that well known website check us out and book with confidence we go the extra mile !!! Outside: Lovely gardens around the shared unheated pool are a joy to sit out in and chill out. Life guard is on duty peak season to make sure everything runs smoothly around the pool area. Plenty of car parking if you hire a car out to explore the surrounding areas, let us know if you are hiring a car then we can supply the remote control for the electric front gates Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen supplied for the apartment only, not for beach use. There are 2 hair-dryers and also a shopping trolley in the apartment. Other: All rooms have shutters and curtains.

clean, spacious, comfortable, good location

Hi we stayed here june 2018

We enjoyed our stay very much the apartment was all you need home from home, good location 5-10 mins from shops bars and restaurants and even beach if thats what you want, But we were very happy to use the pool which was just next door.

The apartment was in a safe gated complex with well maintained grounds and buildings

The apartment while being comfortable and spacious could do with a little TLC from the owner we did enjoy our stay here but found the hill from the main resort a little challenging not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties. We did have a lovely relaxing holiday and Brian very kindly let us have the apartment until the evening of our departure which was greatly appreciated. Thank you and also for your helpful arrival info.

Winter break

We've just returned from a two week break in this lovely apartment. It was comfortably furnished with everything we needed, and more, and felt very spacious. Brian was a very helpful host, very responsive to messages, and sent us lots of information about the apartment and surrounding area, including recommendations for places to eat. We particularly liked The Carvery, eating there twice, and would definitely recommend it there.

Obviously we went in the winter season, so we were unable to use the pool area, as it was closed for a few months for cleaning. It would have been nice to at least use the grass around the pool to sit out, but this was all cordoned off as well. I'm sure in the summer months this will be a lovely area to make use of.

We did struggle a bit with the steep slope up to the apartment from the main road, my husband has a chest condition and did find it hard going up the hill. For someone younger or fitter I'm sure it would not be a problem.

We had a lovely couple of weeks here, thank you Brian for all your help.

Fantastic apartment

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Dom Joaqim complex in Benalmadina. Perfect location, a short walk to the marina, the beautiful local restaurants and the beach and the on-site pool was lovely.

The apartment was welcoming, beautifully furnished and extremely clean. It was in a very quiet residential complex.

The only 'complaint' we had was that the apartment is North facing and doesn't get the sun on the balcony, however, the weather was very hot and so the shade was welcoming. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely apartment, well equipped,large and very clean

The apartment was larger than expected. Very nice to have 2 bathrooms. We arrived early in the morning and Brian kindly arranged for us to drop our bags off at the apartment before cleaning was complete. It was good to have the TV channels for when we were exhausted after a long day.

Brian was very helpful, sending lots of useful information beforehand about the area and ideas for eating places etc.

The pool was always clean and usually quiet. Good equipment in the apartment to take down to the pool ie light folding chairs/beds.

Good location - pub and restaurants only 5 mins walk away and lively marina only 10 mins walk away. We had a wonderful holiday. Would definitely stay at this apartment again.

we had a great holiday at benalmadena the apartment was really good clean and big enough for use all .it was well situated and in easy reach of shops and bars .we would definitely go back would recommend to anyone

Car: not necessary


Just 10 minutes walk to the beach and the Marina. The nearest bar and restaurants are just 5 minutes walk away from the apartment. Two beaches one either side of the marina both sandy and clean with full water sports activities at both beaches. Level promenade ideal for a stroll along any time of the day or night with plenty of bars and restaurant's and all types of cuisine.


No car necessary if you book this apartment everything is just 5 minutes away. Malaga airport is just 15 minutes by taxi which means a reasonable fare and a quick transfer from the airport after your flight.

Further Details:

We supply on booking a full information pack which saves you time finding everything locally. Nearest supermarket etc and best money exchange shop for your holiday spending money. No time wasted looking for attractions like water parks etc.
